For the love of Jesus - just don't! Boston to NY on this bus line felt less like public transportation and more like a survival challenge. First, the original bus broke down before we even left. Cool, things happen. But the "replacement" bus that showed up looked like it had been dragged out of a junkyard and sprayed with Eau de Mold. It smelled like sadness, rode like a rollercoaster built by drunk engineers, and was so filthy I started questioning whether my tetanus shot was up to date. We arrived 1.5 hours late, which honestly felt like the ultimate wellness challenge -- every extra minute on that bus was another year shaved off my immune system. By the time we got to NY, I was half-expecting to find CDC workers in hazmat suits waiting at the terminal. Oh, and when unloading bags, mine got tossed around like it was competing in the shot put. Customer service told me "too bad, you didn't buy a refundable ticket." As if "refundable" is code for "the bus won't be a rolling biohazard, tardiness, and bum bruises from the bumpy ride!!" Zero out of five stars. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy, but maybe to someone I secretly hate read more

Terrible service. Bus from Providence to NY was 40 min late. Two buses arrived and they divided be a bus that stopped in New Haven and the direc bus I paid for. I ended up on the former which brought me into nyc 45 minutes later than the ticket I paid for. This is typical of the various bus companies. It wasnt the best. It wasnt Megabus even though I bought my ticket through Megabus website that said, the people traveling on the bus from DC to NY were a far different community than was traveling on a competitive service I thought I was traveling on before being told I was on the wrong line. I was so close to cancelling my ticket and going home to get my car to make the drive. Peter Pan has a person sitting in the booth to answer questions. The bus arrival and departure is upstairs of Union Station- Amtrak. Food can be bought downstairs. Union Station is near enough to the US Capitol, next door to the Postal Museum, the SEC and other infamous political places of note. You can arrive by foot, by car, by train, by Amtrak, by taxi. There is parking in the same complex of the buses but on other levels. The bus was clean. Driver arrived late. Bus was clean so I think the two were related. Arrived a comparable amount of time late so... it all worked out. The bathroom was clean although out of toilet paper. ALWAYS CARRY NAPKINS OR THE SUCH. ALWAYS I repeat ALWAYS. The driver was repetitious threatening what would cause him to stop the bus and get off, yelling about customers who ignore other travelers with the volume of conversations and their devices. Ok. We 'got it' after the fourth repetition which was then repeated at the Baltimore stop which was a surprise. The bus I believed was non stop. That said, I didnt have to do the driving nor put miles on my car so high price and all- it worked out AND THEN we got to the Bus Station in NYC. Absolute shock. Got me to where I wanted to go without wear and tear on my car, paying for gas, for tolls+ so....Would I use it again? Well TBD to be determined. Intimidated by the NY bus station....... i bought a ticket from Hartford to Boston with a connecting to Logan Airport from South Station. Hartford bus was fine (a little late but fine). Connecting didn't show up for at least an hour after it was supposed to. The lady at the counter was very vague as to when it was showing up. She said it would be 20 minutes late and when I went to get an update after 50 minutes, she and her coworker at the counter were nowhere to be found. I had to buy an uber to get to the airport. Very unreliable service and probably won't use them again. read more

I recommend any other bus between Boston and New York. The bus did not leave in a timely fashion and made an unscheduled stop in Hartford because the company had overbooked a different bus to Springfield. Moreover, the website promised working outlets on the bus and this was not the case. No outlet on the entire bus worked. Peter Pan bus is engaging in misleading advertising, and I suggest anyone who has experienced lack of reasonable connectivity or working outlets pursue legal action against them in a class action suit. read more

I got the 9.15 from hyannis this morning. I had an important doctor appointment in boston and the timing lined up perfectly allowing for traffic delay. However the bus broke down a few times and barely got to sagamore. Had to call a friend to pick us up and get us to boston in time. The bus driver said it would be an hour before another bus would come and to call and we'd get a refund. I've emailed and been told I won't be getting a refund. Lesson learned, stick with plymouth and brockton. Much more reliable and accommodating. read more

Don't use Peter Pan. I used them going to Bourne and it was 30 mins late from terminal B (just the second terminal stop). The driver was in a pissed off mood and let everyone on the jammed pack bus know he was. Bus smelt horrible from throw up or the restroom. I planned to take the bus back to Logan airport and it never showed up after waiting 30 mins so luckily my friend drove me a hr and half back. They sold me a ticket from Worcester to Logan via South Station. When I got to South Station there was no bus to Logan. They don't staff the booth so there is no one to talk to. I had to take a cab. They take no responsibility. Wierd. read more

The bus are clean and fairly on time. My only issue is if you preorder your ticket as most people do, and your flight is delayed, you have to pay a transfer fee even if it's hours in advance. I think that is unfair. Especially if you have a family- it adds up! read more

Peter Pan has been a reliable and affordable choice since I started taking intercity buses as a college student 30 years ago. I'm willing to pay a couple more dollars to have access to an actual station, and the buses have always been clean. The wifi is spotty, but it's terrible on Amtrak with much higher ticket prices. Delays happen, but usually because of traffic not the company. All of this is normal, but not five star stuff. A recent stellar customer service experience involving lost and found has catapulted the company to the top of my list for bus travel. My 13-year-old daughter left a wallet containing her student ID, transit cards, debit card and $30 in cash on a bus from New York to Boston. I put in a lost and found request without much hope of ever finding it. Two weeks later I got a personal phone call from the very friendly Ms. Arrington telling me the wallet had been recovered with the cash intact and is being held at the station in Washington DC! I explained that I live in Boston, and three days later she called me back to inform me that it's now available for pickup at South Station. My daughter is elated, as that $30 was winnings from a poetry slam. I would never expect this level of customer service from a bus company! read more

Peter Pan Bus advertises on their buses that they have Wi-Fi and outlets to plug in your electronics. In the 7 years I've been using them I have never had Wi-Fi on any bus. Most importantly, the outlets to plug your electronics do not work on most of their buses. For years, the employees of Peter Pan say that their inverters have burned out and that they need to be replaced. That is why the outlets don't work on the buses. The company does not care about you having power for your cell phone or other devices. Plymouth and Brockton bus operates some of the same routes that Peter Pan does. You're better off, going with them as they take care of their buses and their customers. I only use Peter Pan out of necessity. Otherwise I would never travel with them. read more

Had a very disappointing experience with this company a week ago and I'm finding that their customer service is disinterested in doing anything to remedy it. A scheduled bus at Logan Airport didn't make a stop at my terminal (as it was supposed to), leading me to seek alternative transportation (a quite-expensive Uber ride). The only way to contact Peter Pan's support people seems to be an online form, which didn't lead to a real-time response as I was waiting at the airport, although I persisted in reaching out to them then and after the fact. Did they offer to reimburse me for my Uber? No. Did they refund the cost of my bus ticket? No. Did they even offer so much as an apology for my inconvenience? No. I wrote them several times and the responses I received were terse and dismissive of my issue. Eventually they just stopped responding. I'm going to think twice before booking with them again. read more

Peter pan is the worst business ever established on the face of the earth. I booked a bus with them that never showed up. SOMETIMES THE BUS DOES NOT EVER COME TO GET YOU. I paid and showed up on time. Me and three other passengers never got on our bus, we all had to go home. This is theft, they just took the money and never transported me anywhere. Since this was a minor theft of under $100 I did not find it necessary to go after them. They refused to refund the money. Shame. read more

Was driving on rt 24 this afternoon heading northbound while passing through Brockton. I was driving about 65 mph; maybe 3 car lengths behind the car in front of me when a Peter Pan bus swerved from the far right lane TWO lanes over to the left to cut me off- without a blinker no less, I had inches to spare as I hit the brakes. Who cuts people off from 2 lanes over on the highway while driving a bus? Defies logic. 30 seconds later, I passed him as there was a quarter mile distance between him and the vehicle in front of his bus. I should also add I saw him BLOW through the yield sign as he bombed/merged onto the highway, what a maniac. He must have thought he was Sandra Bullock. Any company that would have that guy driving a bus needs vastly better employee screening programs and much better training. There is no way that dude has a clean driving record. read more

I took a bus from NY to DC. First we got a 10 minute lecture about how we should behave on the bus in a very unprofessional manner by our driver. Then when someone decided to polish her nails on the bus, the driver pulled over on the NJTurnpike and pulled someone off the bus. After about 15 minutes she got back on but then pulled in tot the first rest area. She left the bus and never returned. We were not notified about what was happening for over 1/2 hour. When I returned home, I wrote to the company requesting a refund for a terrible trip. I was told that I had a non-refundable ticket. I wasn't cancelling, but protesting the unprofessional trip. I then wrote to the President of Peter Pan, who as not bothered to respond. This is no way to run a company! read more

Horrible experience. Paid $50 for a ticket from Northampton to Boston. Bus was 30 minutes late and no outlets worked, but that was to be expected. The bus was apparently leaking something and smoking so we broke down in Worcester. No timeframe on when another bus would come, but they said it would be hours at least. Dead phones because the outlets didn't work. I was visiting from the West Coast and had no idea how to get to Boston with a dead phone. They refused a refund, or even a half refund for only getting us halfway to the destination. The OurBus I took on the way there was much cheaper and much nicer. read more

I used to like Peter Pan. No more. Their service from Logan requires advance ticket purchase. So if your plane gets in early they make you pay a large change fee. Their4 website is atrocious. Too bad the two employees at the ticket counter ruined this review for me. If it was based on the driver and cleanliness it'd be 5 stars. As somebody who it's a medical condition, I asked the guy at the front desk. If there's anything I can do maybe about sitting behind the driver, so that incase I have a seizure (g-d forbid) the driver would be right there. After staring at me for a nanosecond with the deer caught in the headlight look, he replied " I don't know anyway only one here". The assistance of a lovely security guard he suggested I talk to the employee who is wearing a bright green jacket to see what they say. Employee replied, "HIPAA laws, and where my condition is not visible they cannot ask what the condition is I was not asking them to ask me I simply wanted them to tell the driver . So I stopped back at the ticketing desk with the uninformed, moron (redundant?) and the guy with the green jacket/plaid shirt who said they couldn't do anything because of the HIPAA laws, so I just had to wait and be the first in line and ask the driver. When I asked what gate, the guy with the plaid shirt/green jacket was so fucking rude I'm on my bus now and thank g-d the driver is excellent. Nice, courteous, respectful. Bus is clean. read more

We recently used Peter Pan to go from Boston to Woods Hole to visit family on Martha's Vineyard. The trip down was fine - the ride was smooth and comfortable. The trip back was a disaster! We had tickets on the 4:45 bus out of Woods Hole. The ferry from Vineyard Haven was delayed, and we arrived in Woods Hole just BEFORE 4:45. The officer on the boat told us not to worry, that the bus would wait for us to unload since plenty of people go from the ferry to the bus. Several passengers saw the bus in the parking lot when we docked, but it left at 4:47, before passengers had been allowed off the ferry. The bus driver clearly could see that the ferry had arrived but left anyway, leaving multiple people stranded. The situation was made worse by the fact that the only phone number I could find for Peter Pan went to a message saying the phone lines were closed, so there was no way to reach anyone to try to remedy the situation. Terrible customer service! Even if I had paid extra for the refundable tickets, we would have been stuck because there was no customer service available to help us find another option. I ended up finding tickets on another bus line (P&B) that had a later bus. I also learned that P&B has flexible tickets (any time/date) for exactly the same price as PP's non-refundable tickets! If we had used P&B to begin with, we could have just gotten on the next bus with the same tickets instead of losing money. We will not be using Peter Pan bus lines again. read more

The bus drivers and the staff are nice they drive fine but the comoany App is NOT working Neither the drivers's ticket QR code scanners either Both do NOT work properly! I had to buy tickets several times despite of having valid tickets on hand because the driver couldn't scan the tickets. i also witnessed that happens often to other passengers! because the scammers wouldn't read the valid barcode! The worst experience of my life , I'm traveling with my daughter from Boston to New York , we bought our tickets on Friday to depart on Monday at 6:30, the barcode wasn't generated, we spoke with the lady behind the counter who apologized and informed us that the 6:30 bus was canceled and we are on the 7:00 bus, so now we have to wait a full hour, she told us to just show the bus driver the receipt and he would look for our last name and generate the barcode, my daughter proceeded to the line and I was right behind with the luggage, she explained what the lady at counter told us and Chang , that is the name of the bus driver, told my daughter to go back and get the ticket printed or he wouldn't allow her to board the bus without a ticket, she again explained that we spoke to lady and Cathy , that's her name told us to show our receipt and he would be able to Look for our last name , Chang then told my daughter to stop being LAZY and walk back to the counter!!!!!! Can you believe it ? Then I stepped in and ask him what was the problem and why was he being so disrespectful to my daughter, he then told us the we weren't allowed on HIS BUS !! purchased a commuter card from Woods Hole to Providence with faith that I would arrive safely at my destination. I was dropped off in 2 degree weather at a lot in Bourne, MA. After waiting 20 minutes outside for bus connection that never arrived, I was informed by a near by business that "Bus driver decided to leave early." I was left stranded in the cold with no solution on how to get back home or to my destination. Customer service is non-existent, "closed" (this was 11am). I'm very appalled by the ethical behavior of your company and will not travel with Peter Pan ever again. I would not recommend such service to my worst enemy. Horrible experience! Bus never showed up! I had been waiting by the Peter Pan sign at Hyannis airport for the 3:25pm bus since 3pm. 10 minutes later I started calling customer service. They haven't picked up 3 times, but called me back. The customer rep was incredibly rude and told me the bus "had left on time " and I must have been late. I stood outside since 3pm in a freezing temperature to only be told that I am pretty much crazy and that the bus had indeed stopped there. Wow' If I could give 0 for a rating, I would. Outrageously rude and incompetent. I had to find a different means of transportation back to NYC including the expensive Uber ride to providence to make the Amtrak ride home. I reached out to their customer service requesting a full refund. I will post an update on that. read more
