My impressions as a recent client of Peter Rasla´s Law Firm for my particularly unusual bankruptcy case is that they are very knowledgeable, professional, work hard on their clients interests and overall truly care about their clients. My chapter 7 bankruptcy case involved a remote meeting of creditors examination since I cannot physically go to the United States for 3 years due to an immigration barrier. The bankruptcy court wanted to dismiss my case knowing that I was not going to be able to physically appear in court and to be honest, when Peter informed me about that, I felt worried and asked Peter for advice after dismissal of my case. I am going to copy-paste his response so people see why I think Peter truly cares about their clients and work very hard on their interests: "Ricardo, do not worry for now. They have to file a Motion to Dismiss which I will fight. I will prepare and file an opposition to the dismissal and fight in Court. You and I will talk about alternatives if I lose in Court. Peter Rasla was unprofessional, rude, and dismissive from the first few seconds of my phone call with him. He couldn't even conduct himself to engage in answering how he was doing, going directly to "What do you want?" He became argumentative within minutes of me discussing what brought me to seek legal services. He told me to only answer the questions he asks, not to give him any other information, and made assumptions about my intentions for the consultation and how I was approaching the conversation. Without hearing the reasons behind for my concerns, he told me he's positive my concerns are just "coincidence," without discovering what evidence I had about these concerns and refused to acknowledge part of my reaching out for legal assistance is to investigate these concerns. He interrupted me frequently and informed me when he was asking a yes or no question, letting me know that was all I was allowed to answer. When I became sharp with him due to his rude behavior, he berated me for being "emotional," saying that was the problem in my case, not any of the details of the case, and exhibited mysogyny by focusing on my emotions as being the problem, condescendingly informing me how emotions cause problems and get in the way. I'm sure he wouldn't have had the same type of conversation with a man. The only way he got off that topic was when I informed him I'm a therapist and specialize in emotions, so I didn't need a lesson about emotions coming from him. He closed the call by stating, "How am I getting paid?," with a sharp tone of voice demonstrating his condescension, judgment, and lack of empathy. This was the rudest I have ever been treated by an attorney. He made decisions from his own bias and on assumptions. He was verbally abusive and dismissive, projecting his own behavior onto me, including projecting his motive of money onto me. read more
