I made an appointment three weeks in advance for an intake and an Abangha massage, received paperwork, filled it out, had my appointment confirmed. Showed up on the day of the appointment and the practice was closed, no one there. After 20 minutes I called the practice and the "doctor" answered, said she had no knowledge of our appointment (again, I have emails from her confirming) and that she will take a cab to come in, be there in 5-10 minutes. 35-minutes later she arrives. We go into her office, she tells me the massage part will be postponed for the next week. Okay, fair enough, she's killed an hour of our time already. As the session begins she does claims all my emails and info are in her spam box so she has no background on me. She then insists on conducting the appointment without masks on, which is VERY illegal. I thought she was doing this so that she could do vitals but guess what, she never does vitals: no pulse nor tongue checks nor any intake information of my body at all. The next 70- minutes are spent with her doing a pseudo-psychic, astrological reading of me where she spends the time saying that I need to divorce my wife and get my own place and that when I leave my wife that all my health concerns will vanish (which are real, documented, rare diseases that is see a team of doctors and specialists at Mt Auburn for), that they are in my head (so 170+ tumors are all in my head), and once I am free of my wife and change my attitude that I will mysteriously be healed. We spend no time on diet, my diagnosis, my lifestyle, she never looks at my body, though she makes lots of judgements on my visible tattoos and she concludes that the only people with tattoos are mentally ill. Our session ends in the middle of one of her long ramblings as a new patient arrives. She promises to send me follow up reading, pamphlets, videos (which she never does), and then collects $100 from me for services she never provides. Having lived in India and having worked with Ayurvedic doctors and practitioners in the past this is nothing like I've ever experienced before. This is the very opposite of what Ayurvedic medicine, any medicine, she represent and people like this should not be able to practice. Avoid this fake doctor and her damaging practice.

Friday night at 6:30 we went to the spa, kind of dejected and expecting disappointment. Well...WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG! Upon arrival, we were pleasantly greeted and directed to have a seat in a very comfortable waiting area. Within minutes we were taken to the massage room. The door opened into a clean and inviting area, where soft piano music and wonderful warmth filled the room. When we were ready, two ladies came in, and without any words just started working on us. As strong, yet gentle massaging began on my back, I began to relax. There was no chit-chatting going on between the women. They were completely focused on us. The only sound in the room was the peaceful music. Eventually some warm oil massage was done, and I think I felt a hot stone gliding up and down my back, which felt amazing! Hot towels were a nice surprise, too. In addition to massage, gentle stretching was directed to my back, arms and legs. I am 62, overweight, and out-of-shape, and yet I felt at ease as muscles I probably never use were being twisted and pulled and rubbed. I honestly felt like I was being worked on by a machine. I didn't feel hands or elbows pushing at me...everything felt like a smooth, warm roller gliding over my skin. The masseuse did not neglect my ankles or feet, and it all finally ended with a bit of attention and pressure to my forehead. We had been treated to a solid hour of heaven, peace, and comfort, and we were so completely relaxed. How relaxed? We could barely get ourselves dressed and I refused to even attempt to get my bra back on. We felt wonderful - like stoned noodles leaving the room. He stopped listening. He goes through the motions and you're on your way. Staff is running the practice as if it's some kind of med spa. There pushing these different devices that are more like cosmetic treatments. And boy are they pushy, pacifically the one older woman on staff the billing clerk. Good luck with that one, especially if you are a female she will make sure you are rushed through your adjustment. If you aren't interested in the cosmetic procedures they're pushing as med spa treatments, expect to be treated poorly. This used to be a solid medical practice dedicated to caring for there patients. Now it feels like all Doc cares about is making money. Doc no longer cares about making people feel better. I expect more from someone who is treating me when I'm most vulnerable, when I am in pain and I am suffering. Just because I have been injured and can't afford fancy med spa treatments, I don't feel like staff should be looking down on me. We miss the old staff, and we miss the old Doc. I've been going here for about 2.5 years, I figured I'd write a review especially since many of us…read moreare cooped up in our homes and slouching at our computers as well as a bit hesitant to do things like seek out a massage etc. I first started going to Michael when I had a very aggravated pinched nerve, I had tried multiple rounds of physical therapy that just weren't helping. I also saw a chiropractor who told me that I was healing and to just give it time. But it kept recurring. While I am active, I would not consider myself an athlete. My first appointment was my first massage in five years after a bad experience with another vendor. Michael explained everything, made sure I was comfortable and was incredibly professional. He helped coach me through breathing properly to help the massage be fully effective. He also explained to me at the end stretches and foam rolling that I could do to help prevent the recurrence of the pinched nerve. Additionally he explained to me the muscles that were weak, which were helping the injury to reoccur. I wrote it down and started a regimen of those exercises to correct those muscle imbalances. Some things to note on Covid: He wears a mask the entire time, as do you. I feel very safe in his office. I know that he follows various protocols including temp checks, sanitizing, etc. Some things to note if you're used to massage envy or a fancy, bougie spa. This is a sports massage, your muscles are going to go through a bit of a beating. You will feel amazing afterward but this is isn't an aromatherapy situation where someone is lightly dropping scented oil on you.
