Bob came out to provide the estimate. He was professional, easy to work with, and, most importantly, took the time to listen to what I was trying to achieve and the concerns I had about the project. He was also able to get the work scheduled within the same week. I worked closely with Ron, who I believe was the lead painter on the job. He was incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented. I supplied the INSL-X primer recommended for fiberglass columns and discussed paint options with him. He agreed with the approach and helped ensure the project was done the right way rather than just the fastest way. The work took two full days and exceeded my expectations. The crew took great care to protect my brand-new porch, covering the decking and railings thoroughly so there was no risk of paint getting where it didn't belong. I asked for new toilet kit to be installed to avoid repeat small repairs that had kept happening. I am not on site at the location. I was charged $275 for what was diagnosed as needing new light bulbs and flapper adjustment. Nothing was replaced and both repairs did not work. Since then, I found out that the light switch had shorted out and the toilet needed a new flush handle and had to pay 2nd handyman plus make 1 repair myself. I called Mr. Handyman a couple of times and asked for remedy and they said they could send someone out and give me 20% discount on 2nd visit. They did not stand behind their work and they don't care that they charged me to replace 3 lightbulbs. I have the invoice to document this.

Liked that he took the initiative to reschedule instead of taking a chance. Showed up perfectly on time on Saturday, all supplies ready to go. Told us he thought the work would take 2-3 hours- he was done in about an hour! Did a great job and you can't even tell the difference between the existing door frame and the new piece. Left everything in great condition and requested a broom so he sweep up. We also have a kitchen cabinet that cracked- and wanted to show him. He explained how we could easily and cheaply just fix it ourselves. So cool. Really nice guy who does great work- we will keep him in mind for future needs and highly recommend him!

When asked about it, his suggestion was to just get an additional space heater. When something was installed improperly, he has just gone to the cold shoulder. Garbage can drawer won't close due to poor installation (as per the cabinet manufacturer) and he won't return a call or a text to fix it. The water in the newly installed shower needed work. He wouldn't return a call or text for that. We had to call the plumbers ourselves. This score is a result of the professional people he subs work out to. His work ends up looking amazing, but he's unwilling to stand by it.
