SO if you want to have PEACE & QUIET to grieve, to say goodbye... then this is not the funeral home for you. Their rooms are not soundproof and you will be left feeling aggravated and upset. And they ask for their programs back. The reverend and musician provided were very professional and on point. The parking lot is a little small but there's on street parking to accommodate. They made the process effortless including the move from the hospital, dealing with the insurance company, everything!!! They even changed my brother's earrings on the day of the viewing at the last minute. I've used other well known funeral homes and the personal service from Butler exceeds what was received from them. Their staff is professional and knowledgeable. The body was well prepared for the service. And the organist and soloist were excellent. I explained that I didn't want a sad song and they delivered. When they needed to ask me something it was discreet and quick. I didn't have to worry about incidentals. I dropped off the picture boards (which they supplied) and other items I wanted displayed (pictures in frames, lions jacket, guitar, etc.). They took care of displaying these items around the room. When the day was done they didn't rush me - not once! The next day at the church they again went into action without me having to worry about a thing. They knew what the church permitted and how everything was to happen. We had military honors which they made sure of. Again, I didn't have to organize one thing! I tried to give them a "tip" at the end. They wouldn't hear of it. He politely said no and said it was his pleasure. I would highly recommend them!!

The chapel is equipped with an organ, minister chairs for seating near the podium and microphone for the service. Parking is available on the front and on the South side of the funeral home. Residential street parking is also available on both adjacent streets to the building. The services have been only an hour. I arrived early to the last funeral I attended to take a conference call from my car. I was able to see there was a funeral just before the one I was attending. The parking lot cleared just in time to make room for the new arriving mourners. This was an indication to me that the staff is strategic in their scheduling. Thank you! Fortunately, I cannot speak about the value or the business side of coordinating or paying for a funeral services. However, I was greeted by multiple staff when entering the building. They always seemed pleasant.

One of the biggest issues I had with QA Cantrell Funeral Services is that they only offer package deals. For families like mine, who may not need or can't afford all the extras, it's frustrating not being able to choose just the essentials. I wasn't looking for anything elaborate--just a simple, dignified service within a budget. Unfortunately, that didn't seem to be an option. It was also disheartening to see a price quoted for DHS that didn't match what we were actually being charged. That kind of inconsistency makes an already stressful situation worse. And being rushed to set a service date before we even had time to pull together the funds--it felt more like a business transaction than a moment of grieving and honoring someone we loved. Another thing that stood out: for all the money this funeral home makes--especially from Black families--they couldn't offer a simple gesture like beverages for grieving relatives. To find out that refreshments were only for staff? That hurt more than it should have. And then there's the scheduling. Our service was booked too close to another one the same day. Family and friends came expecting to view the body at 2:30 PM, with the service to follow at 3:00 PM. But without warning, the service started at 2:30--rushed and overlapping. That kind of disorganization is unacceptable when you're trying to say goodbye to someone you love. My message to anyone reading this: Please do your research. Don't feel pressured into packages or services you don't want or need. You deserve choices. And you shouldn't be paying over $3,000 for a cremation with a basic funeral, instead of paying over $6500. Ask questions. Compare funeral homes. Your loved one deserves respect--and so do you. NEED I SAY MORE?
