I ventured into new territory at Peterson's last night. When you walk in you get to smell the freshly popped popcorn they make right at the entrance. For three years I've passed on getting any of the flavored popcorn because it was more cost than I wanted to spend on flavored popcorn but last night, I got the caramel with peanuts. They're amazing! Nice grocery store. I always come back because they have freshly squeezed orange juice. The produce is fairly priced. I've read others comments about the The meat being great. But everytime I go by that section it doesn't look good to me but I'll keep giving a try. The bakery area doesn't look appetizing either. I prefer Harmon's bakery or smiths. They have freshly made kettle corn! Their deli area looks good probably one of the only store that doesn't push boreshead deli products which I find salty. Prices are between target grocery and Harmon's. They aren't as cheap as target but not as expensive as Harmon's. You can find pretty good deals. I can't speak about the employees I really haven't had much interaction. I greet them but that's all no further conversations I get it wearing a mask can keep conversations short I don't know. read more

I love me some Peterson's. It's a nice small family grocery that serves usually fresh veggies, fresh bakery goods and some good treats (candies popcorn and other old fashioned goodies). They close on Sunday's so boo to that but other than that it's a good lil spot to grab some fresh produce or groceries. I'll snap some photos next time I go. Every year our ward (church) has a Christmas party and they get the roast from this store. Every year I look forward to this dinner, because of Peterson's roast. I finally asked where we could get this meat and was told about Peterson's. It is absolutely delicious! We will be shopping there much more often. It is a sliced rump roast. Try it! It is hard to find a grocer that feels like a member of the community. We are very grateful to have Peterson's close by. We have been buying from Peterson's for the last 16 yrs. Harmon's has a bigger selection and higher prices. Walmart has zero warm fuzzies. We feel the staff is our friends. We see them often enough we have become very familiar. Dennis, the Produce Manager, has become a good friend over the years. We only know him from Peterson's. He is easy to engage and will let us know what is good. He loves his job and his enthusiasm is infectious. We are big fans. read more

COME FOR THE DONUTS!!!!!!! Now that I have your attention... I stopped at Petersons today just for a little sugar pick-me up not knowing anything or ever having been inside. But I found myself in their bakery isle and fell in love with their monster of donuts. I mean THEY ARE HUGE!! I got their assorted dozen for $7.99 and they were amazing. I gotta say their maple donuts is what spoke to me on so many levels. read more

Peterson's is my own personal Express Lane. When I need just a few of the simpler grocery items, it's a bit of an ordeal to try to fly through Harmon's. Well, thank Oprah, Peterson's is there like a semi-radiant signal fire beckoning me with their small crowds, large & easily navigatable parking lot, reasonable pricing, and incomparably friendly faces. For an unassuming small-town grocer, Peterson's obviously has connections. They offer an impressive range of products and services. Gone are the days of re-routing to another store to pick up such items as gluten-free and body lotion. They feature a Compounding Pharmacy, an especially helpful customer service desk, a large selection of Utah's Own products (get your Colosimo's sausage and Lehi Roller Mills pancakes on!) equalling support for locally-sourced and produced items, and the "little deli that could" which begs to be legit. They've even begun augmenting their produce section with a few organic items, and now offer a couple of vegan/vegetarian grocery options to draw the meatless faction. As big-boy as Peterson's aims to be, you still won't find the following here: - Artisan bakery/bread - Cheesemonger apportioning handouts of the dreamy-creamy - Sushi-grade fish - Cooking school/assistance - Imported international foodstuffs - Large quantities of anything Identical to many grocers in the area, P's in-store brand is Western Family. WF has been around for so long in these parts, past advertising has lauded it as Cro Magnon Man's brand of choice. Others may refute, but I've found WF to be no better or worse than other in-store brands available anywhere else (ie. Great Value from Wally World). I've learned that unbending brand loyalty can be costly without a little experimentation. Read labels...compare...be brave. One of Peterson's biggest draws for me is their staff. Some of them are family members, others are long-standing employees; but all appear that they love to be there assisting you. From the cashiers to the customer service desk associates, the baggers to the butchers, they are just happy you're shopping at their store and they're not afraid to show it with broad smiles and genuine conversation. I'm not in this store that often, but there are several cashiers here who never fail to recognize and acknowledge me. Speaking of checkout, they have some amusing and oddly-appealing point-of-purchase choices (a.k.a. impulse enticements placed at checkout stands), like Riverton High Wolverines sweatwear, cinnamon toothpicks, and some dude's fudge made fresh last April. (I kid!) Peterson's provides me with a quaint grocery experience when I can't cope with the aggravating crowds and buggy technology at the larger new-milennium mega stores where you can get your car stereo installed and have your baby delivered while you shop. read more

It is bad enough that when Peterson's took over A Fresh Market they decided to close the store on Sunday's which is frustrating enough but when we visited the store this evening, a Friday at 6pm, they turned us away and shut down the food preparation area due to the fact it was "slow today". Cost of business to leave a fryer on going into the dinner hours VS. Turning away and disappointing customers? Poor business practice. I would give them a 1 star but their only saving grace is they still stock and offer Tim's Cascade Style Chips. read more

Such a great place to shop! It's like a time gone bye where your local grocer cared about you! The bakery and deli are amazing! All the employees have a smile on there face and say hello to you! They load your groceries!! I cannot say enough about this gem of grocery stores! They may it carry every brand but I don't mind or notice because I always leave happy!! "Eh" the place is ok. The question you should be asking is what do you expect, or want, from a grocery store? The size of the store is good. Plenty of aisle with plenty of items. The whole vibe I got from this place is that it is just a classic style grocery store. Whether you agree with the word classic or just straight up old is your own decision. It really reminded me of some grocery stores I've been to when I was younger, before Walmart was around. They did have a US Bank branch inside, just fyi. read more

Great selection of groceries! Petersons carries alot of unique items that you can't find at big box stores. They always have plenty of samples in the produce and bakery isles for my kids and we come here regularly for the $1 ice cream cones. Best deal around! read more

Since Peterson's took over the quality has gone down, the prices have gone up, the choices have gone down, the Pharmacy in months and months has not gotten one order right and never has it been ready-even when calling days in advance. The pharmacy workers are slow and not very friendly to boot! I hate it. I want my old Fresh Market back and Peterson's across the street where it belongs! I live in the neighborhood right behind Peterson's, and I shop there several times a week. Their pastry game is dead on - the best scones I have ever had. I run by to pick up things for dinner, snacks and drinks before work, whatever I need. The employees are always friendly and helpful. read more
