I came In to get a prime rib. They had the cheapest price in the valley for bone in prime rib. I wanted to make a true prime rib with the bones still attached. I asked their butcher what he had and he let me pick my meat and he trimmed it perfectly. He also gave me some tips on how to cook it just right. I've never ever had a problem with this store until today!. I went and spent $16 ($15.94) on the 5 pack of chicken breasts, paid cash (the cashier knows me we always talk) so I do what I usually do because I've never had a problem and told her just toss it. Soooo I get home open the package of chicken and it stinks like rotten eggs and is slimy sticky and just doesn't even feel like chicken so I call them and ask if I can get my money back and explain this whole thing and he says we need the receipt and I said it's in your garbage can but I have the chicken tag still on the chicken. He proceeds to tell me well bring it in so I can smell it and see like as if I'm lying about it!. I even told him I go to this store on a daily and have Never had a problem and this is how your going to treat me?. He goes well it's policy.. wtf it's policy to call your daily customers a liar. I even told him from the start I will be bringing the chicken!. I refuse to go back and spend my hard earned money on bad meet and to help pay employees who sell bad meet and call customers liars!. read more

I love small grocery markets. It makes me feel like I live back in the good ole days. This place reminds me a little bit of The Store across the valley and I was missing that experience having moved from the east side to the far west side. It's small but they have great deals. I drive past frequently and am lured in by their ads on their sign. Not my first stop for grocery shopping, but worth a visit now and then. read more

This is actually a really good little store. I've been able to get weird, random things that I couldn't find in other places. The real driving factor for us is the meat department. We were able to order 1/2 a cow and the types of cuts we wanted. They also were able to order us a full lamb in the fall. They wrapped it and labeled it really well and the prices were comparable to other places. I really like the meat department at Harmon's, but found this was just as good at a little lower price. I will say they don't have the same number of specialized/gourmet burgers and such, but this is a little store and I think it's very understandable where that level of inventory would cause major overhead. I did take off a star because of the area it's in. The roads get crazy and everyone is smashed together. Also seems to be an area that needs some serious upkeep and renovation. Hopefully that's something we'll see soon. read more

So every year I go to the City of Utah for Christmas at the inlaws. I usually by the Christmas prime rib at Costco, because who doesnt love Costco. My MIL mentioned this place a few years ago and I have been hooked since. So every year for the past 4 years we have been getting the Christmas prime rib at Stan's Market. Nothing fancy about Stan's Market, but they do have a nice meat counter. I have lived in Kearns for several years now and I absolutely love this market. I love going in and talking to the same people that I see in my neighborhood. It has that good old community feel that you don't get from Walmart. I get help out to my vehicle when I need it and everyone is always so friendly. Love the butcher counter and always have great cuts of meat. They've recently been updating the store and it's looking great. Thank you Stan's! read more

They have an excellent butcher dept. I searched all over town looking for pork bellies (for making bacon). These guys were the only place I could find who were selling them. The other meats on display looked very delicious too. I plan on coming here again. read more

Will never ever go there again. Short older lady with brown hair got attitude from hell. She had the nerve to "toss" my ID back at me landing on the floor when she could have easily set it on the countertop. When asking the manger hey who's your manager to let him know maybe she needs some help in customer service, she turned around to call me a bitch in front of other customers. Cramped little grocery store with higher than average prices. Some items were priced so high I did a double take. I've only come in a couple of times looking for meat to bbq. Both times they were out of what I went in specifically to get. Second time they even argued about ever having it at the price I was saying. But I saw it on a sign the week before. Stan's has the best meat selection and specials all the time. I particularly enjoy being able to order over the phone and pick it up when I am ready. Best meat in the Salt Lake Valley - hands down! The people who work there are very helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere is very small town.
