I don't have a Facebook but I had to find somewhere to write a really good review about these guys. I first took my car here about three weeks ago because it kept shutting off at a random times and stalling out on me. I took it to Pete's and they were very straightforward with me and didn't try to upsell me or give me any car BS because I'm a girl. Not only did they explain to me what was going to be done, provide call updates on repair status AND give time estimates on repairs but there wasn't any hidden charges or fees, everything they told me made sense with no gimmicks or surprises. Granted, I had to take my car back a couple times over the course of 3 weeks to address the original problem but Pete's made sure to fix it and and stand by their work and good name! They made sure that my vehicle was reliable and not leaving me stranded. They were super accommodating and every person I talked to each time I came in was pleasant, kind and addressed me by name! I used to go to the dealership because I didn't know where else to go and felt like I was definitely being taken advantage of. Pete came through in the clutch Again! I have been sick and not driving. Health wise things have started to look up. Went to start my pickup and had all sorts of error codes and looked under the hood and the rodents had taken over. I limped the truck to Pete's a nsk them what they could do. Many wires were chewed and rodent nest were abundant. Steve told me they could fix it but it would be like time and material. For me that worked. Pete's is a great place to take your vehicle. Imma check engine light on my jeep came in right before a holiday trip. I called the jeep dealership and they had a two week wait. I decided to call Pete's auto because i pass it often and i was treated with exceptional customer care. On my initial phone cal the technician even asked if i had warranty still and to verify that it's expired because it would Save me money, essentially losing my business possibly. I did not have warranty still and due to this great communication went back to Pete's. They were very communicative and responsive and answered all of my questions. They even had a drop off the night before and ensured my vehicle was thoroughly diagnosed to fix all issues. I will definitely go back here if i ever have car trouble. read more

Horrible place to work. Employees walk on egg shells afraid of bruce, he drinks on the job an when he doesn't it's very evident in the attitude he has. They tell Employees to find more issues than what the vehicle has for more money. Then will argue with you as far as hrs worked. My truck needed an entire ac system and my norm is to use the over priced Ford dealer. I heard amazing things about Pete's and chose to use them to replace the ac. To be honest, they have been fabulous although they installed a defective compressor from the manufacturer, no fault of Pete's. They have made me a priority from the onset and have continued to offer rides and even providing a vehicle for me to use as the part arrives to replace. The owner even drove me home one day and a very special thanks to James! James is an all star in taking care of the customers, I miss him when he works the later shift but can't thank him enough for his customer service. I will make Pete's my preferred automotive shop! Crooks friend had an alignment done two hours later snapped a lower ball joint took it back had them Replace the ball joint and the damage parts two days later the same ball joint broke destroying more parts and body parts still they charged both times never would warranty anything now still cannot open the door because it push the fender into the body if you care about your life or your vehicle avoid this place at all cost read more

I have to admit Pete's Tires was not my first choice for selecting tires: I tried the local store of a national tire chain. I picked out a set of tires, scheduled an appointment and received a confirmation email. Then I got a phone call from someone saying the tires I had ordered were not in stock and I would need to wait a month or more. I told him I would pursue other options instead. I went to Pete's Tires' website after that and requested a quote on a set of tires. I got a prompt response. I said I wanted to purchase the tires and asked when I could schedule an appointment. I took my car in and got the new tires put on that same week. I was impressed with the blend of online convenience and friendly in-person service Pete's Tires provided. While I hope it's several years before I need to purchase tires again, the first place I contact then will be Pete's Tires. read more

I found this business on Yelp and read the reviews they already had so I decided to give Pete's a try. They performed an A/C evacuation and recharge on my 2015 Cadillac Escalade. Pete and his employees are friendly. The atmosphere in the business is comfortable, and if you are a lady I feel confident they will treat you with respect. I am not a lady but I continually look for businesses that will treat my wife the same way they would treat me. Pete's technicians are knowledgeable and the prices are budget friendly and fair. My vehicle was repaired in a timely manner as promised. Will definitely be using this shop again. read more

Is there a minus star?? I never write reviews and have considered this for quite some time. I spent 1700 with these people and was talked into getting shocks and struts along with my original repairs. My older vehicle was taken back 4 times with a horrible noise..they could never resolve and finally the mechanic told me I needed to turn my radio up. I was told repeatedly they wanted to get the problem resolved but it never was. Another mechanic and several male friends have since told me the noise most likely is coming from use of inferior parts..so the parts they used are making the noise. Please reconsider if you are planning on using this business. read more

My moms 2005 Ford Expedition was having problems (shaking)so we took it to Pete's tire an automotive an supposedly they "fixed" it. The problem was still there, that supposedly the shaking would go away after driving awhile, that never happened. My mom is Hispanic and doesn't know much English so she couldn't say much so she believed them. Then she ended up taking the Ford Expedition to the ford dealership service and they said none of the parts have been changed and that they broke a plug inside a socket that they charged my mom to fix! I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to get scammed! read more

My mom took an old car in to see if it was worth fixing. They gave her a price to change valve cover gasket and a couple other things. She told them she had a $1600 budget and anything more than that she would not be interested in fixing it. After $1600 worth of work I see that it has a head gasket out and they informed her after the fact it still needed rack and pinion steering. I personally feel they took advantage of an old woman and we will never do business there again after 30 years. read more

Pete's Tire is privately owned and is the best place in Ellis County for tires and auto work. They're prices are great and they're work is thorough. I also know that they won't add on unnecessary work just to pad the bill. If you're brakes need work, for example, they'll tell you and if they don't need work, they will let you know that everything is OK. This is not true for some corporate repair shops (I was once told that I needed $400 in hose replacement on a vehicle with no more than 18,000 miles on it at one big-name shop and at another, I was told that my clutch-plate needed to be replaced, but that clutch plate lasted another 175,000 miles just fine and was working till the day that I sold the car -- so I always try to go to Pete's where none of this kind of trickery goes on). Plus, they've been able to bring a few of my old vehicles back from the auto graveyard. I like to get as many miles out of a car as I can, and Pete's has done a lot of work to keep me out of new car payments. read more

This place is a joke. They victimize women and people who don't know their way around a car. My mother has taken her car here many times, even after I warn her not to. They always claim that something is wrong with it that isn't wrong. After they tell her what's "wrong" with it I take it to a trusted mechanic and they tell me that they're full of it and the part had nothing wrong with it. I called them out on it once before and they said that he must have been wrong and still charged her for it. Every time my mother takes her car there for something simple they say there's $1,000+ worth of work that needs to be done to it. Once we took my old car up there to get ONE tire changed and it took a whole week?? Please don't bring your business here. read more

I will say I never had an issue with Pete's Tire, ever. They have always done an excellent job. There is no shoe that's going to drop because I have nothing but good things to say about Pete's. They have gone above and beyond in all they have done. I have used Pete's since before 2010. I have used the tire service and automobile service. I may have had to pay a higher price than what I wanted but it was probably fair. They may not get to it when I want it but I don't mind waiting if others are before me. My wife is the one that always takes it in and they are extremely respectful. They have come to my house to do the work and the charges were exactly what it would have been if I took it in. They came out one time and changed the tires to new ones on three different units-- two trucks and a horse trailer. When my trucks won't start they will come out and carry it back to the shop. Had 2 brand new struts and a brand new alternator that I need to be swapped out and they refused to do the work because I supplied my own parts. Obviously they aren't worried about helping people or getting work. Just seems the markup on the part is more important than getting a new customer. read more

This morning I went to Pete's to repair my broken turn signals and brake lights. They got me right in and diagnosed the issue, faulty wiring by UHaul for a hitch I had put on my car. They fixed my car without charging me anywhere near what I thought it would cost. The guys, especially Rod were super friendly and helpful. I'll be going back soon for my inspection test. I had some issues with being able to get my car to him to fix, so Pete himself picked my car up from me, fixed it and then brought it back to me. They were honest and very reasonably priced. I had a problem with my Diesel Pusher and called Pete's Tire and Automotive Service. Wow are they nice, and they get the job done. I had a botched fuel filter replacement in Colorado that rendered the RV nearly impossible to start. The guys in Colorado took too many short cuts. Johnny did a great job of setting everything up and Brent and Gary came out and replaced the primary fuel filter on the engine and no more problems. The people at Pete's Tire and Automotive are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet. They kept their word, did a great job and now I can get back on the road.
