BE CAREFUL! No accountability for mistakes (PROVEN MISTAKES) and can get very disrespectful. The service at this repair shop has really gone downhill. I used to love and rave about this place--I brought three or more cars here to get service. But after my recent experiences, I'll have to find another shop. I've been dealing with the same issue for 2-3 months, yet they kept "finding" other areas to fix instead of addressing the actual problem. The phone representative has been completely disrespectful the last two days. I had my throttle bodies replaced, only to find out later that the wrong parts were installed. After going back and forth with Speedy's, paying for tows and Ubers just to get around, I finally had my car towed to the dealership on June 3rd. The dealership confirmed that Speedy's installed the incorrect part, which ended up costing me around $250. When I called the warranty company, they told me that Speedy's reported having used the correct part. I called Speedy's to follow up on June 6th, and the representative immediately got an attitude, saying, "I can fix the cable to prove a point." I explained that the dealership had already fixed a loose cable but the bigger issue was the incorrect parts. He claimed he had already ordered and received the correct parts and was ready to install them. However, when I called again on Monday, June 9th for an update, I was told they were still waiting on parts. When I brought up his earlier statement, he started yelling at me. I asked him to stop yelling, and he hung up on me. I will not work with a shop that treats the customers like this. I will be following up with legal actions. If I could use my warranty at a different shop, I would--but because of their mistake, I either have to continue dealing with them or pay out of pocket. I'm totally dissatisfied and disappointed in how far this shop has declined. read more

I had an oil leak repaired, well several of the valves had to be changed and it was a big job, the estimate was about $1900 but it didn't take as long as they thought so they took $200 off! read more

Been going to this place for years . I really only like to deal with Mel because I feel like he's honest . Angel is kool but it's another guy that seems to always try to get over and this make me feel all of are getting over . I was quoted 1900.00 to get my AC compressor with kit replaced . I shoppped around and no one was nearly charging this much for the same thing they quoted . I used Hondura in Irving and only paid 900.00 for the same thing they were charging me 1800.00 for . This really hurt my feelings because I trusted these guys with all my vehicles. I highly recommend Speedy's Auto Repair. I was referred by my co-worker who gave them 5 stars. Therefore, I removed my vehicle from the Lexus Dealership and had it towed here. I only spoke to them on the phone after they had possession of my vehicle. I didn't meet them until i picked my vehicle up two days later. The maintenance men were very knowledgeable and ensured me that they could make the necessary repairs. They made the repairs in a timely manner, updated me daily, and charged me three times less than the dealership. I would definitely be returning. read more

Writing this review as a follow-up to my stupid mistake of taking my car to NTB for new tires. I just got off the phone with them telling to put my old tires back on my car and I'm going to just risk the drive to Speedy's and have them work on my car. I chose NTB because it's a little closer and I didn't know if my tires would survive the trip, but whatever I'm taking the chance. There's not much that needs to be said other than the pricing is fair, the service is reliable, and the customer service is better than any of the big names in oil change/tire/etc. They're not going to sell you stuff to try and bleed you dry, because they know the way they work is honest which makes customers come back. NTB and other big name places charge so much that they don't care if you ever come back. If you're in the area, this needs to be your go-to business for all things car related. If they can't fix it or help you, they're honest and upfront about it. It's refreshing to know that there's a business you can trust when it comes to tires and car repairs. read more

Bring my Corvette to them to put a starter on my car and the starter broke in 3 weeks they put a cheap starter on my car ..brung the car back so they car replace that starter then they broke my glovebox and forgot to put my spark plug wire back on my car. I took my car here to have them look at my a.c compressors they put it on a machine and told me that my compressor was out and need another on and charged me 40 for that then told me I can pay 650 for the part and 550 for the labor. Me thinking on my toes I took it to get another opinion and come to find out that nothing was wrong with my compressor AT ALL!!! It just need to be recharged that's it. So they will tell u something wrong with your car when in actuality nothing is wrong with just to pocket your hard earned money some sleazy ball stuff. Make sure if u go here take it somewhere else and get a second opinion because they will having u pay to fix something that don't need to be fixed at all just to make money. read more

Im really impressed with this place. I needed to quickly get my oil changed and pass by this place weekly. It was a quick and easy process. The owner was super friendly with all of the customers that came through, he is one of those business owners who remembers a face and name and treats you like a regular wether you've been there twice or 200 times. I was so relieved to not feel pressured to get the more expensive oil or any extra in needed add ons. He did bring me out to the shop to show me my air filter needed to be replaced soon but didn't hound me in it either. It was a great experience and I will be back for sure. read more

I guess Speedy's Auto Repair is with Speedy's Car wash. Conjoined building. $1 is all I spent here. I put my dollar in on soap and all it gave me was water. I switch it to water and brush but the spray for soap only gave me water. The one by the change machine on the left. Can't give another $1--sorry. Car still dirty. No use spraying the whole car I just stayed at the bumper and let the water run out. read more

We inherited a 1996 Mercury from my grandfather and wanted to sell it. We were told it needed a new alternator. We called several auto repair shops in the Southern Dallas area and got prices ranging from $300-700. Finally we decided to buy a rebuilt alternator and just pay labor. Speedy quoted $180 labor to install a rebuilt alternator that we bought at a parts store which was very reasonable. We took the car and dropped it off. When they got ready to fix it they realized we bought the wrong alternator. We live across town and so Angel was kind enough to offer to go pickup the part for us. He called back to say the part was not at the Duncanville parts store only at the Arlington store. Sweet Angel drove to Arlington for us and picked up the part. Not only that once he saw the car and part he realized his bid was low but he honored that price because he is a man of his word. I have dealt w/all kinds in the auto repair business but Angel is a man of his word and does good work. I would highly recommend him. read more

Del and his guys are terrific. They replaced my clutch today and it is fantastic. It works so well that it almost scares me until I can get used to the difference. I have been with them for years. It seems that every time I am low on finances an issue with my truck develops and having to through money at repairing the truck is the very last thing I want to do. I don't know anything about cars so I have to trust their advice and recommendations. It is like going to a doctor's appointment, they will explain in Layman's Terms about your options and the cost behind them. I have never thought they were going sell me something I did not need. Trust is the key issue when you have to pay for a repair that you don't even understand. My step-son makes a living off of repairing cars and he had originally recommended them to me years ago. The work is excellent and the prices are fair. Most of all after talking with them about your car issues that you have to pay for, you will walk away trusting them. read more

It seemed okay when we first brought the vehicle in, thought they knew what they were doing. Later on, I guess we realized that the shop was just too small to be able to handle the issues our vehicle had, so we were just charged the diagnostic fee which was fine. The issue I had with them was when I went to get it towed from their shop to another, apparently they did not bother to connect everything back together before the tow guy had come to pick it up. If I had known that, I would have gotten them to put everything back on before we left, but by the time I got to the shop, the vehicle was already being loaded on the bed and I couldn't tell there was anything wrong. Well, when I got it to the other shop, I found out later through their mechanics when they went to start checking it out that there were wires and things all disconnected and screws and stuff sitting on the windshield and probably a cap for something missing as well as far as they could tell at the time. So who knows what flew off on the hour plus drive down there. It was pretty disappointing no one bothered or seemed to notice any of that stuff before securing my vehicle!
