The absolute best wedding caterer we could have asked for!!! If I could give more than five stars I would, I still dream about the food, it was that good!! Pete's firehouse bbq really came through for my husband and I's special day. We had issues with a few of our vendors for the day, but one I didn't have to worry or stress over once was Pete and his bbq! The food was warm, incredibly delicious, and exactly what we asked for. Our guests all enjoyed it immensely, we heard nothing but rave reviews; and they still comment how the food at our wedding was the best ever. Pete went out of his way to help us throughout the process, from tastings to the main event; a truly kind and professional individual. He was always responsive to my emails and questions. I was looking for a place to cater a celebration of life. I reached out to Pete and from start to finish, he was awesome. I ended up ordering tri-tip, chicken, Mac and cheese as well as baked beans. I was impressed with the portions and the food overall. The Tri-tip was tender and flavorful. It didn't even need any bbq sauce. The chicken was so tender and moist and seasoned really nicely. I'm not a giant fan of baked beans, but his beans were really yummy. They even had little pieces of corn in them. As for the Mac and cheese, i loved it. I could eat that stuff every day. Smokey bacon and good and cheesy but not mushy. Everyone was asking where the food came from and how found him. We got so many compliments on all the food. I was looking for someone to cater our small micro wedding in Temecula and found Pete's BBQ on Yelp. From the moment I reached out Pete was professional, responsive and very helpful. My now husband is from a small town in Texas and a BBQ snob. Like most guys he didn't care about the small details of the wedding but the food was important to him. Pete and his team went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure our guests were taken care of and fed an incredible meal. I can't tell you how many compliments I got on the food. My MIL was so impressed with the Brisket and even told them "I'm from Texas and that Brisket is delicious, put another helping on my plate". Pete's Firehouse BBQ Catering did a stellar job at my daughter's backyard wedding on 4/1/17. Our guests were very impressed with the appetizers and food for 130 people and 10 kids. We chose Pete's for our July wedding and were not disappointed! Pete was always courteous and nice every time we communicated and answered all the questions we had along the way. Pete's Firehouse was the first and only tasting we had for our catering option for our wedding. My husband is from Kansas so it was a must we have BBQ for our meal. Pete was AMAZING... The meats where juicy and so flavorful! The sauces were AMAZING! We had the Tri-Tip and Grilled Chicken. The sides were even more AMAZING... we had the smoked mac and cheese with bacon and green beans with bacon. We had a few vegetarians that attended so Pete was so kind to offer a portobello mushroom and with the sides he left the bacon out just for those people. We also had appetizers served with them and let me tell you their Raspberry Chipotle Meatballs are HEAVEN. They even have a option to have a smoke wagon that can be on site so all your guest get to smell what they are having for dinner. He matches your decor on the buffet, and goes above and beyond to set up how you'd like. ALL of our guest raved about the food and they even packaged up the leftovers for us and put them in our room to have the next day. The food is even better as leftovers! We had Pete's Firehouse cater our wedding on October 13th and we are so glad we did. Pete was so easy to work with. The day of he showed up on time and helped set everything up. Everyone was raving about how good the food was! We had the three meat option with brisket, pulled pork and grilled chicken. Pete was our caterer for our wedding day on June 27, 2015 at the Secluded Garden Estate, and I have nothing but amazing things to say about him and his team! We had the wedding menu planned for June 2020, paid our deposit, and then Covid hit. We had to cancel due to restrictions on the church and venue. With no place to have a wedding, no guests, and no venue, we canceled and asked for the deposit back. We were refunded half the deposit and told we could apply the other half to an event within the year. Funny thing is everyone else we had contracted with refunded our entire deposits based on the unusual circumstances of the shutdowns. Well less than a year later we sent an email to Pete asking if we could apply the deposit to another event which happened to be a funeral. All we got was crickets. No response. No yes or no. I wouldn't recommend using him until things get back to normal unless you feel comfortable risking your deposit. read more

Pete and his team embodied professionalism and service from our first encounter. After receiving a recommendation from our venue, we reached out to Pete to cater our wedding. He invited us down for a tasting which turned out to be a three course meal that we absolutely couldn't finish (despite our best efforts). The food was spectacular, of course, with a bbq chicken that was both tender and flavorful and a tri tip steak that was juicy and could be cut with a fork. We booked Pete for our wedding and could not be happier with the results. By the time the ceremony started, my groomsmen and I were nearly drooling at the scent of his food wafting across the venue. His team was fantastic, taking extra special care of my wife, myself, and our wedding party while we slogged through innumerable pictures after the ceremony, having appetizers specially played for us. To-go meals were prepped so that we could eat at the end of the night. I can't say enough good things about Pete, but we would absolutely recommend him and his team to cater any event. Pete was our wedding caterer at the end of October 2016 for our backyard wedding! He and his wife were amazing! Quick to answer any question we had, tastings offered with left overs and a meeting to check out our yard to make sure that the execution was flawless. Pete and his wife Melissa are an amazing and caring team. When my wedding planner Birgit Aviles recommended that we try Pete's for our catering, my husband was determined that they were going to be our caterer. After a hearty taste test, we were beyond sold (and stuffed!). Melissa met with us at the venue a couple of weeks beforehand to finish with details which was wonderful. The day of, we had a fantastic spread of tri-tip, smoked chicken, smoked mac n' cheese, baked beans, salad and rolls. I had SO MANY of my guests tell me they usually don't like wedding food, but every person cleared their plates! The only thing I heard anyone complain about was that they didn't get enough mac n' cheese! They even made a small dish of mac n' cheese and had portobello skewers for our few vegetarian guests. After the event was over, they packed up all the leftovers for us so we could snack on it later that night and the next day! While I we didn't ultimately end up choosing firehouse for our catering needs (it was a tough choice that ultimately came down to a personal reference), I do believe they would have provided great food at a great cost.
