I went to a stone quarry company and explained what needed to be done in the obstacle course that was my backyard, and they recommended David from True North Masonry to me. "You'll really like him." You'll really like him, was in all fairness an understatement.The way David worked with us, communicated with us, as well as researched and tracked down stone, brick, granite with various sources for/with us was as if he was doing this for himself or his own family. He could have just done what we asked plain and simple. However, he suggested/ added some extras that finished the project off with cleaner lines, utility, and aesthetically. We don't just like him, we really, really like and appreciate him! When we had a question or wanted to change something, it was easy to communicate with him, and never a problem. David really listens to what you are asking him. The way he worked was very methodical and works cleanly. Anytime observing him work, it was clear that his skill level impressive. Did I mention he cleans up everything? :) In addition I just wanted to mention that we especially were impressed the way David employed many so many more skills along with his masonry work . I recently hired complete paving and masonry for a 3rd job on my property…read more In 2022 they replaced my asphalt driveway and edging, they removed all the landscape timbers and replaced with stone and new asphalt. then in 2025 the front walkway they removed all bricks and landscape timbers and replaced with a paver walkway and matching stone edging. Yesterday the crew was here for the recent job of removing concrete landing step ( which started to fall apart during the winter) and replacing it with a granite step. We are very happy with all the jobs. Gerry and the crew were quick and efficient. Do not hesitate to ask for a quote and trust in this company.

We called Chimney Chap because our boiler had a persistent lack of draft - exhaust would back up…read moreinto the basement, and the burner wouldn't draw properly, no matter what we tried with adjustments. On the inspection day, which did cost $250 (a very fair price if you call around for a licensed inspector), they arrived on time, did a thorough inspection, explained the issue clearly, and provided a fair, transparent quote for the repair with no surprises. Only a few days later, Scott (the owner) and his crew installed a high-quality dual-lined stainless steel chimney liner that perfectly addressed the draft problem by improving airflow and boosting overall safety and efficiency. The work was clean, professional, and completed quickly - they left everything spotless, no mess at all. Our burner now draws beautifully and burns efficiently. We're thrilled with the results and the great customer service. As stated earlier, Scott, the owner, even came out and worked on our project. You can tell that he takes pride in his work and business. I am not sure what the issues others are having, but some of the reviews don't make sense to me. Terrible Company to do business with. After contracting with them to do an extensive chimney…read more/fireplace cleaning , and inspection ; they left the flue damaged and unable to be closed. Their claim that the chimney needed Thousands $$$$ of dollars of cleaning /repair work has since proved to be UNTRUE. They refused to answer my phone call , and I had to go in person to get any result. They would not take responsibility . When I asked to see the supposed interior fiber optic video/ pictures , they claimed somehow they had been erased. Even when I said I was considering a New Gas Insert , on my phone message , they never called me back. I find this a tough Industry: you have no way of seeing what's actually going on in your Fireplace and Chimney. They have the tools and expertise , and you're totally dependent on their Ethical approach . It's like being held ransom , trying to keep your Family safe . These guys are Not the ones to Trust.

Please do not hire this company. They start at a reasonable price then find all kinds of things…read morewrong and the price keep going up and up. They pressure you to sign a contract for the work and the work is subpar. It does not meet code or professional workmanship. They sat in my house for couple of hours until i signed despite the fact that i told them i had to check with my attorney and would let them know in the morning. They refused to leave. I should have called the police right then and there. I did contact the police later that week when i saw the results of the job. I also checked with city hall to see if they had pulled a permit as I was told by them that they had the inspector coming next week. This was after they finished the job and wanted payment. Lo and behold city hall said no permit was pulled and no inspection was ordered. Their names are Freddie and Matthew. The work was done by 2 gentlemen who do not speak English. I will be taking legal action on this matter to recoup what i paid since I have to have all the work completely redone and it has comprised the integrity of our 4 season room. I also just recently lost my husband and they preyed on that. Unfortunately, i was scammed. I repeat, do not use them.
