I came to Pete Transmission spoke to Alex My first impression first class operation Took my Honda Accord for a Transmission issue Alex was giving me the options to rebuild the transmission or get another one Yeah immediately got on the phone to a supplier Ordered me another transmission.. I highly recommend this place.

That's all the fluid, I had to put a pan thinking it would help cover the floor but it didn't. And it still drops very little fluid.

Didn't even fix my transmission and if anything they made it worse as well. Took my car to get the transmission fixed, they "fixed it" but then it would always drop transmission fluid and I'd have to fill it up all the time, before and after driving. Few months later transmission goes bad again and they said my warranty will cover that only for them to say they fixed it but now my car has no overdrive and still dropping trans fluid everywhere and smoke coming from the transmission when I go for a drive. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

Art is friendly, experienced, and his instant familiarity with the error code made me confident he could complete the job. And the total repair cost was a (tiny) fraction of the dealership estimate. Art mentioned the job was a little more complicated than he first thought but he still only charged his original estimate because that is how he operates. Uncommon and refreshing ethic. I am sick and tired of the dealership's practice of charging $199 to diagnose a check engine light. Even though they would apply that $199 to the repair job if I opted to have them complete the repair, I wrote it off and still came out WAY AHEAD by taking the vehicle to Art's instead.

I had taken my 2012 Camry to three different shops for a torque converter issue (a known problem with my model year). Every shop told me I needed a whole new transmission and quoted me over $6,000. I had only had this car a couple months and it was lurching forward when accelerating. As a woman, it's hard not to feel like you're being taken advantage of in these situations. But when I brought my car to Art, he quickly diagnosed the problem and had it completely fixed within just a couple of hours--no new transmission needed! It felt like a miracle. Art is kind, thorough, and incredibly trustworthy. I won't take my car to any other transmission shop again. Thank you, Art, for saving my car and giving me peace of mind!

I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.
