INSIDER INFORMATION! This information was given to me directly from someone that used to work there. The people that sell you the puppies make commission on each sale. Their goal is to convince you to take the puppy no matter what. They will lie to sell You this puppy. If you ask about breeders they will also lie! They only have information on a handful of breeders and the rest of their puppies come from a company called "blue ribbon" which is a middle man for puppy mills. If you want to buy a puppy from there ASK about their medical history, ASK about the puppies parents ASK about genetic and health testing that the parents should have gotten but I know they didn't. ASK to see exactly what breeder the puppy came from. They can't give you any of this information because they don't have it! If they cannot provide you with detailed medical history of the puppy and pictures of their parents or testing like hips/eyes/heart/lungs then RUN. I know someone personally that was sold a mixed dog (pomeranian husky mix) with PARVO! If you don't know what that is, it's a highly contagious virus that can be spread through direct or indirect contact with their feces. If not caught early enough the death rate is 91% after spending $7,000 on this mixed dog, they had her for 2 day when they realized something was wrong with her. About a month last and still Recovering they've spend 8k in vet and emergency vet bills for her and PETLAND WOULD NOT PAY them back, they stated that she didn't get that virus from them and that they're not held responsible once the puppy leaves. Puppies are sold just for the money and are not cared for properly. A terribly bred French bulldog with genetic conditions like an elongated soft pallet or cherry eyes or underbite will cost you 10k while there are reputable breeder that do everything they need to do to ensure the puppies are healthy, they will be sold for 5k. This may be a franchise but all the stores are individually owed and can be better or worse in the care or their animals that's really the only thing the franchise can control. But ultimately they still get their animals from the same breeders which are puppy mills encased in a corporate name like "blue ribbon" They may have things like life time warranty but they are not upheld. There were other reviews about someone's dog suffering from a congenital deformity and that had to be euthanized at 6 months and petland did not uphold their end about "lifetime" warranty. Instead they took down the review. Which has been posted on other sites now as well. DO YOUR RESEARCH! By buying from they you are no better than the puppy mills selling these dogs. Our 15 year old Bella needed to put to sleep and we were inconsolable. We decided to go to Petland Naples to play with the puppies. A wonderful employee, Shirley came up to chat with us and was so understanding and sweet. She knew so much about all the breeds and all the puppies. We asked to look at one and she brought her out for us. Love at first sight of course! She was so helpful in finding out all the info on the puppy and you could just tell how much she loved her job and all the puppies. It was cool that the employees were taking out and playing with each puppy, giving them lots of love and affection. I so loved that! She worked with us on getting the puppy and was such a delight to deal with. What a FANTASTIC employee!! I would have hired her on the spot for any job! I was impressed by how clean the facility was and the quality of the puppies. She showed us all the items in the store that would help us make the puppy adapt to our new home and stay healthy with the same type of food she received at the store. We are so so happy with our little puppy and just had to rave about Shirley! Thanks dear lady for all your expertise and help and kindness! 5 star rating for sure. read more

The dogs do not come from puppy mills as many people state. They come from USDA licensed breeders. If you get the puppy, they will show you all the puppies paperwork & even shows USDA number so you can look it up. As soon as you search their license number it tells you all you need to know about where your pup came from. People stating they do not have water or food, you should not get a puppy. The food isn't supposed to be out all day. They get fed 3 times a day an employee informed me. There is a water bottle on the doors of each kennel. The kennels are huge so if there's 3 small 4 pound puppies in a kennel, trust me they have a ton of space to play and run along with the socializing time. & they don't stay much longer than a week or two. They take the puppies out to socialize as well in the playrooms or set up a playpen. Stop spreading false lies just because you don't approve of companies selling dogs for a higher price & you want dogs to be sold for $500 again like the old days. They come with many warranties & Vet partnerships/ discounts that help you and save you at least $500 a year. read more

As with all things in this day and age, finding, selecting and acquiring a pet is way more complicated than it used to be. As with a lot of people, we first started with shelters. It is extremely more complicated to acquire from a shelter than it used to be. And believe me, I understand why. After spending countless hours trying to find a dog that was right for us and not succeeding, we decided to try Petland. We were at first taken aback by the price of their dogs but after working with the kind folks there, we found our dream dog and understood the value of these superior pets. Delaney, our Petland Rep, worked with us to make it possible for our beloved Bogie, to be a happy member of our household. Why did we ultimately choose Petland? Because they had healthy, well-adjusted pets that made an easy transition to our home. In the end, they made it easy for us and we appreciated how sensitive they were to our personal situation. If I could give negative reviews, I would. This place is a complete scam. Unless you have the $$ to pay for the dog you want up front DO NOT GET ONE FROM HERE! They will say whatever they can to sell you a dog & then go back on their word. They told us 1 year interest free on a loan for a dog & then they end up still charging us 29% interest... we pay more each month in interest than $$ going towards our loan. Granted we should have never bought a dog from here anyways since they're over $9,000 walking out the door with all the extra fees they tack on. Plus my puppy had parvo when I took her to the vet shortly after getting her from here. Again, DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM HERE! You'll have better luck buying a dog from a reputable breeder. Purchased a Cocker Spaniel puppy that had severe pneumonia. My vet was in shock. The doctor said, had the baby not gotten help within a few days he would have suffocated due to his congested lungs. I pulled up a breeders web site right in the store and found pure breed Labs for $650 to $800. Why are places like this allowed to stay open by the state? Poor dogs. I loved the energy the employees displayed when dealing with me and my new puppy! They were very informative and helpful with my French Bulldog. On the contrary to most people's beliefs, they get their puppies breeders and show what breeder they get them from. I am absolutely in love my new baby boy! read more
