Taking her to the clinic for a free check up if you adopt and take them in within a week.

I cannot rave enough about how amazing of an organization this is. The Humane Society in Naples holds such a special place in my heart. I genuinely feel they have a six sense for pairing people up with the right animal. I had looked at several adoptable dogs throughout a couple months in the facility and kept hitting a wall. While all were lovable, none were quite the right fit. However, I remained hopeful, knowing the dogs were in good hands at the humane society and would find a good home. As my search continued, the staff was so supportive and was instrumental in helping pair me with the right pup. The staff's expertise, investment, and personal connections with the animals in their facility allows for the best possible adoption for both the animal and the person/family. While I love the kindness and community within the organization, I most appreciated their honesty about what the personality and background were with each dog I looked at. This showed me that they were more concerned with correctly placing an animal, rather than just trying to clear the shelters. In addition to the excellent staff, the facility is so lovely and the adoption process is seamless. I am so thankful for Jessica who made sure that my new pup, Rosie, was the right fit for me, and her I. I adore Jessica's commitment to ensuring that my dog has a happy and healthy life and the rest of the staff who celebrated my pup's adoption. I could not be better paired than with Rosie. Furthermore, if you did adopt from there, the humane society has a clinic that already understands the animal's personalities and needs which makes the search for medical care an easy task. They also offer discounted obedience classes if you adopted from them. All in all, they really make it easy to adopt, not shop. Adopting from the Humane Society Naples was the best decision I could have made.

It's Official...newest member of the family....Man Up Foster...shout out to the Humane Society Naples...wonderful organization... Man Up (formerly known as Zorro) was a stray and was in pretty bad shape but is quickly stepping into his own paws...it is apparent he received truly wonderful care + is a very happy little man :-) Over the last several weeks I had reached out to several "other" animal rescue agencies and it had become a completely demoralizing process. At the suggestion of one of my dearest friends she recommended Humane Society of Naples as one of the best organizations...+...absolutely deserves TEN STARS. From my initial phone call through the entire process EVERYONE made it a truly exceptional experience! For me the drive from Sarasota FL was worth every mile, every minute :-) It was love at first sight xoxoxo....As always, Tricia

The Human Society of Naples is a real gem and little paradise for animals. The place is clean, warm and secure. They welcome all animals to help them and ensure they are adopted. The staff is competent and welcoming despite the pressure due to a lot of visitors, animals and limited shelter rooms availability. I foster kittens to help the shelter and I have never been disappointed once with this well maintained and controlled non-kill shelter. I recommend it.

This dog was in and out of shelters and we were lucky enough to bring him home and show him the love he deserves. Such a sweet, funny dog.

This isn't an easy job. You have to be patient and have the heart to care for these animals. If it wasn't for them our little Rex wouldn't be here. I'm a sucker for 'everything happens for a reason'! The chihuahua we adopted was in and out of shelters, snipped at people he didn't like and was not given someone's full attention. All he needed was a family to love and take care of him. He needs a lot of attention. He's funny, outgoing and adorable. While every dog can be annoying when they don't listen, you just need to figure out what's going on with them to better adjust the situation. I think the time visiting animals should be limited when they are busy but other than that they have been so helpful in our adoption process, after care and phone calls. He's doing so well. I can't recommend this shelter enough.

I just wanted to thank the friendly staff at the Human Society Naples for their great treatment of me during the adoption process of my darling pooch, Pearl. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The staff was approachable, knowledgable and the facility is beautiful and clean. I had researched a few of the pups I was interested in before arriving at the facility, they patiently let me meet each of the (5) dogs I had listed. I got to meet each one in an amply sized fenced-in grassy area. This was awesome. When I narrowed my choices down to two pooches, I was able to bring my wire fox terrier in from the car to meet them both in a simulated living room area. The staff walked me through the whole thing and I eventually ended up with a wonderful dog who gets along with my formidable wire. I am so happy with my dog, adopting her was one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is now a jet-setter, having seen New York City, Cape Cod, Annapolis and Harrisburg in just 3 short months. She's my constant companion and I am forever grateful to the staff at Humane Society Naples for being part of our journey together.

In 2014 we adopted the light of of our life, "Farrah," a Poochon with an extraordinary personality and a great temperament.

In the past, Harborside's Veterinary Services had been satisfactory. That all changed yesterday! Our dog has been professionally groomed every 4-6 weeks for 10 years (I.e. Bath, Brush and Nail trim). We typically take him to PetSmart for a full grooming, however, this time we bathed him ourselves therefore he only required his nails trimmed. We made an appointment at Harborside. After a few minutes - an employee came out to say they would not finish trimming his nails unless we agreed to give him Gabapentin, a sedative drug. He IS fussy regarding his nails, however, in over 100 groomings over 10 years he has never had to be sedated before having his nails trimmed. Harborside refused to finish the job however they still charged us. Following the supposed nail appointment we could not determine if any or how many nails were properly trimmed. We understand that an inexperienced technician might be concerned however using a muzzle for 3 minutes would have been easy solved the issue. BTW he has never worn a muzzle nor has any groomer ever suggested a sedative before trimming our dog's nails! A truly disappointing and totally unexpected Harborside Animal Clinic experience!

The staff and vets at Gulfshore Animal Hospital far exceed my experiences in decades of vet offices…read moreover a lifetime. We needed a SWFL vet for our new puppy and GSAH was AHAA accredited, had several vets available (which increases your chances of being seen) and their education was with excellent vet schools. The front office staff (Tim, Mckenzie) have been so helpful, kind and caring. They send us our records every time our pet insurance asks (again and again), and they do so that day. No need to call again. They communicate reliably through email and text too. The vet techs/vet nurses are incredibly gentle, caring and knowledgeable. My pup has had many blood draws due to a condition, plus nail trims, and she is not at all afraid to go with them. They give great advice on caring for your dog as well. Shoutouts to Lisa, Kelly, Dina and Chris! The vets we have had, primarily Dr Cook, and also Dr Randt for an emergency, have been kind and smart. They take a thoughtful approach and both of them have cautioned to take things step by step to not overspend or do too much too soon. I am so frustrated when I see review complaints about vets, or vets in general. "trying to rack up the charges" because my experience with GSAH has been the opposite. I'm the one saying "do it all," and the VETS are the ones saying "hold on, let's go one step at a time here so you don't spend so much money unnecessarily." This happened with a liver issue diagnosis, and again when my dog swallowed rocks. We took things a bit at a time. The vets take a good amount of time with you and all of your questions will be answered to satisfaction. I never felt rushed. My dog breed (mini dachshund) is one that has more reactions to vaccines and they are very good with spacing out the vaccines instead of pushing to have them all at once. You are listened to at this practice and there is a collaborative model of care. You will be given treatment options and work with the doctor to make good decisions for your pet. Everything has been so exemplary here that I am completely spoiled for any new vet office up north. I almost don't want to leave for summer because they're that great. We feel really fortunate to have found them!

They couldn't get me appointment. They sent me off to an Animal Hospital in Bonita Springs and then one in Fort Myers never correctly diagnosing his issue. They first said it was pain in his neck and gave him 3 different meds. When that didn't work, they said it could be acid reflux and said give him Pepcid. This went on for two months. My dog was not eating and they just kept throwing anti-nausea and appetite enhancers at him . They don't even have an ultrasound machine on site so he wasn't able to get an ultrasound. Two months later we took him to Chattanooga to an animal hospital where he was immediately diagnosed with a large tumor on his tonsil. It turned out to be melanoma. They removed it but two months later, it came back. It was very aggressive. We had to put him down. Worst day of my life. To this day, Gulf Shore Animal Hospital has not even followed up with me as to how he was doing. When I informed them that Eli had to be put down, we never heard a word of sympathy or condolence or I'm sorry. They never thought to look for cancer in a 13-year-old who couldn't swallow, couldn't eat and was extremely lethargic for two months. He suffered unnecessarily for 2 months. Just want people to know my story and try your best to pick the right "animal hospital".
