    Ferret attack at Petland

Wednesday November13 of 2024 I had went in to killl time before work- well I had checked out the ferrets cus I have wanted one for some time! Well I had seen a little dark one in there and he looked really cute and so I stuck my hand in the inclosure they have signs posted you can do this well on sign did say "handle with care may bite" and well they have bit me before it never drew blood or break skin well this little black ferret when I went to set it down turned around and latched on to my had pulling and trashing cause it to make me bleed I immediately let the employees and what I only assume it was the manger know about this incident and they basically said it was my fault and offered no first aid I wouldn't be upset if they had offered a bandaid or even like "oh okay we will keep an eye out" they blew me off and basically didn't care,

Most disturbing thing I've seen in a long time. I went in here looking to get tags engraved for my dogs and was appalled by what I saw. Gerbil like cages with harsh lighting and grate like bottoms that cannot be comfortable. Every single enclosure had piles of diarrhea on the bottom and dogs only source of water was little gerbil water feeders. Many of the animals looked either sick, dirty, or drugged up. Questioning how this is legal as these are clearly puppy mill dogs. What happens when no one adopts these dogs ? Begging you to rescue and not support this disgusting place. There are so many animals out there that are just as cute and don't come with a host of health problems.

I bought a dog for 6500$ the next I had take to vet because the dog had parvo and killed my other dogs and the dog that I had bought was dying I had pay to the vet 5k plus and they won't return no money please be aware of this guys there multiple cases of this store they won't return no money 2 picture is my other dog that die because of the sick dog they sold us under 24 hours we took the dog to the vet

At the vet. This puppy should be running around playing not lethargic and dehydrated.

I bought a Lab puppy here on Thursday (Sunday now). It comes with a 14 day 'warranty' but doesn't cover emergency vet services and you MUST take your puppy to either their Tulsa or OKC vet within 6 days of purchase to get 'warranty.' My appointment is Tuesday, BUT my puppy has been running a 104 fever and panting and breathing fast 24/7 since we got her. I called the 1800 number they tell you to call and the answer was wait (and let her suffer or die) until your Tuesday appointment with our contracted vet. The vet is closed tomorrow because it's the 4th of July. Just took her to the emergency vet and she has pneumonia. Cost me almost $700 and they say they won't pay because they don't cover emergency vet services. They wanted me to make her suffer and get worse until the Tuesday appointment with their vet. What if she dies or gets really sick, I asked? They'll give me credit up to cost of purchase. Nah. I'll just go to court, and notify the proper regulatory authorities. PLEASE do your research before you buy from here. When I got my puppy a guy was buying a $6k puppy on credit through them with a 35% interest rate. Dude is going to pay over $13k for that puppy when it's paid off. It's clear from their policies and practices, business model, and pretty much telling me to let my puppy suffer or die that the ONLY thing Petland cares about is cash money. Go get a rescue. Go to the pound. Or at least a reputable breeder. Not Petland where you get puppy mill dogs that they know are sick and won't help, and make the customer pay to save a life!

The birds have been fighting each other for that spot. The current birds are able to drive the previous birds nesting in there. They destroyed the old nest and currently building a new one. I found an intact egg belonging to the old birds last week in my herb garden. There was one broken egg outside of the garden. I placed the intact egg back in the nest. Hopefully, the new birds can hatch it but it's going to look different from the other hatchlings once hatched. The birds have been clipping my peppermint plants and pulling them out of the ground. I put them back but they kept on pulling them out. So I decided to buy them bird feed at PetSmart hoping that they would stop pulling my peppermint plants out of the ground. In hindsight, the birds are pulling my peppermint stalks from the ground to build the nest but not to eat. Everything makes sense now. What a waste of effort. I am no longer growing peppermint but if they destroy my other plants, I am sealing that hole. The birds don't like the bird feed at PetSmart. I put it out but they don't seem to eat it.

By all the hype I was confident to leave my pup in their care for grooming. Upon picking him up all I could notice was that some hair was cut from over his eyes. He was still shaggy, nails still long and did not smell like a bath. 2 days later cut hair is shedding everywhere he lays. Alarmed by hair shedding I called and was told to to bring him back for a brushing and blow dry. Really⁉ wasn't that part of the service? No apology for the unearned $38 charge or the 45-minute drive to and from their shop. Instead, I was offered an undetermined discount on his next grooming. Really⁉ as if there's a chance in dog heaven that I would ever entrust them again for my puppy's grooming. So, today, a week later, I have an appointment with another groomer for a better job than they did (OR NOT) and charged me for Pics below of hair on his room's carpet and how shaggy he looked after treatment. Three stars for friendly service and store products. Grooming would be minuses 5 if made available. I would not recommend the grooming services AT ALL. Just a livid new puppy owner

We have a beautiful black Cairn terrier named Milo. He is a handsome, energetic, bundle of curiosity and life. We took a vacation recently and needed to board him. Aurora's policy is to have all dogs bathed on check-in and they must have current vet records showing up to date immunizations. They offer a bath and grooming package for dogs boarding. We took it and wow. For the first time ever we've had people stop and ask what breed of dog Milo is and how cute he was. Everybody in my family on the day of pick up commented about how fantastic he looked and was acting. He strutted around the house and yard like he was a prime stud dog. Tail straight up and head high, as if he knew how he looked. We laughed out loud. The difference? For the first time ever our Cairn was cut perfectly to the AKC Cairn standard. Not like a short haired rat that was being used as a grooming dummy to train novice grooming students. The facility and kennels were very clean. The workers very professional and informative. Great listeners. One employee, Julie, in conjunction with her AKC judge husband, own the number one ranked champion Saluki in the nation. Their dog won Westminister last year I believe. They understand dogs and have worked with them all her life. For compassionate care, communication, cleanliness, thoroughness, and such a pleasant disposition that only Chick-fil-a employees seem to exude in today's service sector, I give Aurora Kennels/Grooming 5 stars without reservation.
