Gerri handmade bows that she sewed all the way down my mom's train (which my mom still remembers ) and my friends each loved their consultants. The new location is stunning and great for large groups!! My mom also got her mother of the bride dress here and I've gotten several bridesmaid dresses. They occasionally take alterations depending on their capacity and they've always turned out perfect. Highly recommend!! I live in Chicago and was going to Petosky with my mother, mother-in-law to be, and grandmother. I figured I would make an appointment at Petoski Bridal while we were together. I thought I would try on a few dresses and leave. The moment I entered the store, it was a wonderful experience. Carley helped me create a dress that was uniquely mine. She helped me be decisive and was able to read me better than I could read myself. She spent 3 hours with us and helped me pair two pieces together with an additional skirt overlay. The skirt is removable so that I could have a more fitted look for the reception. Carley also helped me recreate the top with alterations that matched my vision. I requested that the alterations be completed in-house and Cindy, one of the owners took my measurements and came up with additional suggestions to complete the look. As a bonus, my grandma also found a dress for the wedding. I cant say enough about this store and the people who work there. It was the perfect wedding dress shopping experience. read more

My mom and I dropped into Petoskey Bridal today without an appointment to look for a dress for my mom for my son's wedding on June 5th. My mom has not been able to shop for a dress due to health issues so we are on a short time line. She also has much difficulty trying on dresses due to her disabilities. The employees at Petoskey Bridal were fantastic. They were attending to us the entire time we were there, even though they had other customers. My mom was able to try on many dresses and find one that she liked. LOVE LOVE LOVE! I came into get my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses on the same day. Angela was AMAZING! She is a bridal godess, I was so lost picking out my dress, I had some styles in mind but Angela just made my experience so great, she was so helpful and took so much stress off of my shoulders. When my bridesmaids where picking out their dresses, Hannah and Karmen were so hands on, it made it so easy. When My wife and I got married, we rented my tuxedos from this place, and they were super helpful and knowledgeable with a huge selection. My wife and I live in LA now and we've seen hundreds of places like this. But if I ever had to do it again (lol, hope not) I'd start here for sure. We had an appt and when we walked in consultant acted as if we had just showed up to look around. We grabbed our own dresses to try in and after trying 5-6 on without help she finally came and we talked about color and style and she brought us two dresses to try. One of the dresses was beautiful and we loved but did not come in the right color - super frustrating experience! read more

Tuxedos were nice, but very expensive. Almost $200 to rent. You'd be better off purchasing one. And this place is closed on Sundays. So if you're like most of the population renting a tux or dress for a Saturday wedding, don't bet on returning it the next day. How inconvenient is that for out of town guests who leave town on Sunday? read more

My fiancé bought her dress from this place and they screwed up. You'd think that if she tries a dress on and it fits then they'd order that size dress, but no, they ordered a size smaller and then when it didn't fit treated her like she gained weight. They made no attempt to remedy it other than to let her take the one off the rack that who knows how many people have put on. read more

This was my first time trying on bridal gowns. I picked out quite a few. Some I knew would not fit me and others I knew would. There was one in particular that I really wanted to try on and the woman said "I'm sorry I can't put this on you because you will break the zipper" it was the same size as the others I had tried on! Then the woman left me in a dress and just walked away. She wasn't very helpful at all. When I asked if she would measure me she said "I can only measure you if you are buying a dress today, because every dress is different" I get every dress will be different but my measurements won't change! I was not happy at all. I left feeling very insecure about myself because of this woman. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They may be able to get your dresses in late and either to long, to small or to big, with straps when it is suppose to not have straps like they did for all your bridemaids. Plus than it isn't their fault. Nothing like bad customer service. read more

Well...I definitely won't be going back. When I walked in, the only front counter employee was gossiping with a friend. Did not greet me and did not ask if I needed any help. It wasn't until 20min later I decided to leave and as I was walking out the door, she finally decided to interrupt her conversation to finally ask if I needed help. Remind you I never was asked once if I need help until I was walking out the door!!! You won't find good customer service here! read more
