Home for a visit with family and we decided to have pizza. A rarity. Petrilli's was recommended and boy am I glad. It was fresh - and I mean every ingredient was fresh - and the service was great. I have been coming here for a few years already it never disappoints. The pizza is delicious. The meats and veggies are high quality and always fresh. I been hearing about this pizza spot for a while, finally tried it out. I walked in and ordered a medium house pizza (Petrilli's Specialty) and a 10 order of wings. I waited about 15 minutes until I departed with my order. The guy who took my order was pretty welcoming. The pizza was delicious, can't recall the last time I've had a loaded pizza like this one. This place definitely loads their pizzas. The wings were pretty good;they were baked. Chicken falls off the bone easily, but $10 for 10 wings? I think that is pretty steep. I'll definitely be coming back, next time I'll consider a smaller pizza. This medium was just too much for two people. I didn't like the fact they charge extra ($.60) for ranch, jalapeños, and other items. Maybe a limit per pizza would be suffice. Then again we do live in a capitalism country. amazingly abundant toppings (forrest y was shocked at how heavy the pizza was - the cardboard box was practically bent in the middle from the weight! - and as soon as we got home he went to weigh it - 7 lbs!), fresh ingredients, crunchy and chewy crust. the pizza is absolutely HUGE and we only ordered the medium combo special! i like how they cut it in irregular shapes since i'm a muncher and a lover of pizza edges (that region right before the crust with the slightly crispy cheese) and so we could pick our favorite spots to eat. we ended up with so much pizza (we had it for dinner, lunch, and then brought it to share with my traditionally asian parents and they were so impressed with the value - a hard feat in and of itself! - that they didn't hesitate to keep the leftovers and will be enjoying the rest of it for the next few days!) can't eat in, takes about 20 minutes from order to yummy pizza, they have lunch specials and special deals on mon/tues; a definite upland to-try spot! read more

Well, so far Mountain has become a Restaurant Row of sorts for some of the best eats locally. First came Handel's, the best ice cream known to man. Then Claro's, where for a piddling sum, you can feast on some stacked sub sandwiches and some tasty baked goodies (seriously, those raspberry drops are the best thing since sliced bread). Next up is Thai family, a very very good place to find some grub. And now, we have Petrilli's. Since everyone has different tastes in pizza, you have to get a sense of what someone likes before you can tell if you'll like the same places. For commercial fare, I love the deep dish pizzas from Pizza Hut b/c, well, the crust is laden with tasty, oily, fatty goodness. Next up is Round Table, which I consider to be a very solid pizza. Never really ever cared for Dominoes and think that Papa Johns is overrated. Haven't touched Little Caesar's since I was in High School, so can't comment on them. For other local places, I tried San Biagio's (next to Handel's) for their "authentic" NY style pizza. Now I am not sure if I didn't care for San Biagio's, or that I just didn't like NY style pizza but regardless, I just didn't care for their pizza. I tried some place in Chicago for their famous deep dish (waited for like 2+ hours) only to realize I did not like "real" deep dish pizza (WAY too much bread). So there you have it. My pizza tastes for the world to see. Anyhoo, for this place, we ordered the large Petrilli's Special which really just puts all other meat lover's and supreme pizzas to shame. It came as a large 15x20ish sheet. The crust was fairly thick, but needed to be to be able to structurally support all of the goodies on top. The nice thing was that the crust was crispy. My god was it filling. We barely even touched the calamari (more breading than squid) and the buffalo wings (slightly overcooked, but the sauce is exactly how I like it - baked into the wings and not just slathered on). Oh and fyi, it's only a take out joint and there's really no place to sit and eat there (much to our chagrin when we walked in expecting to sit down). read more

WHOA! Toppings overload at this place. I think next time I go back, I'll ask for half of the amount of toppings. We ordered a large pizza (which is 26 squares. Yes, their pizza comes in square-slice form): 1/2 black olives, 1/2 pepperoni. I think it came to about $30-32, but it was a HUGE pizza. It fed all three of us, for dinner, and then breakfast the next morning, and we STILL had leftovers even after THAT! This was our second time back, and they're very consistent! Great customer service (very polite and friendly over the phone) and their product is always baked to perfection. Usually done in about 15-20 mins too, even on a Friday night. The crust is a bit on the thick side, but still chewy, doughy and delicious. The sauce? Dead on. Not too sweet, not too oregano-y, and just the right amount. Cheese? It's a bit salty, but definitely tasty. The pepperoni is quite spicy, and with the amount they give you, it's a fire bomb in a box. Again, for me, I'm asking for half the amount next time my friends and I grab a pie from Petrilli's. It is a bit more expensive than other chains(hence the three stars,) but the quality is beyond compare. It's not really "NY style pizza" (as my quest continues...) but it's the best pizza I've found around Ontario yet! read more

Yeah, this place is awesome. Basically, it's the toppings. My personal favorite topping is their Italian sausage (it's gotta be homemade), but everything is good. They make a great antipasto, never skimping on the the meats and cheeses while providing some interesting peppers to spice up your standard veggie fare. I highly recommend their two special pizzas - Petrilli's Special and the Pizza Bianca. The white pizza in particular is really good, the fresh tomatoes, basil and white sauce really go together well. My boyfriend and I went to pick up a 'Hawaiian' pizza last weekend after reading the reviews from the other people and I have to agree with them all. Let's start with the service: Friendly and very personable. (We went back again this weekend and they totally remembered us! Now that's good customer service. Pizza: Well like I said, we got the 'Hawaiian' and it was delicious! The pineapples were juicy as hell. I think they use fresh ones instead of frozen ones so they natural juices are baked in. The roommate said Petrilli's Pizza was the best place in the Inland Empire for pizza. With comments like this, I had to see first hand what the noise was all about. Petrilli's is one of the best pizza pie shops I have seen in a long time. Their crust is crisp with hints of cornmeal. Their toppings are quality, fresh and plentiful. I ordered the Bianca and Special (kind of like a supreme with everything) and they were super extra primo! When I asked about Chicago style pies, the owner (I'm assuming he was the owner) asked, "Whatever style you want, I will make for you. If I don't know how to make it, you tell me and I will make it for you the way you like it." Now this is the kind of enthusiasm I appreciate from a restaurant owner. Their prices are above average but I am happy to pay extra for an above average pizza. Five stars from me, because I am comparing Petrilli's to all the other pizza shops out in this area. Initially I thought this place was another "Petrillo's" location until I pulled up closer and saw it was named "Petrilli's". Yelped it, and sure enough, it was something to try... We got a Medium Pepperoni, susage and mushroom pizza and it is probably the best local pizza place in the IE. The toppings were plentiful and fresh. Crust was thick with a little bit of a crunch but still chewy. First 3 packets of cheese are free and sides of ranch, jalepenos are 60 cents. Medium Pizza fed a family of 4 (with left overs) We also got a small antipasto salad which was topped with meat, cheese, olives, pepperchinis and peppers. I don't eat pizza very often and I definitely don't like eating pizza from the big corporation companies (we all know which ones I'm referring to) but I give local pizza joints a try if the reviews make it sound appealing. This was the case when I needed to find a place to eat at for lunch near my location at the moment. The location itself was clean, but small. Definitely more of a call and pick-up rather than a dine-in. There's three tables and they do provide plates if you choose to dine in though. The pizza was very good and the personal pizza is actually bigger than I expected, so it could be shared between two people easily. Based on my first experience alone I would definitely be back and recommend it to people looking for a more authentic pizza flavor. read more

By far, the best pizza that I have personally ever had. We used to live in Ontario and drive the 5-6 miles to this place. Now we live 30 minutes away and my husband will make the 1 hour round trip drive to pick up dinner. We always get the Large. I don't know if it was just a fluke or not, but the small and medium are not the same as the Large. Sm/Med are round and thin, and the Large is rectangular and super thick. The dough has amazing rustic flavor. It's just a great dough, not just a place to put toppings. On alot of pizza, I'll skip the ends b/c why waste room on dough, but not here, it's too good to skip! The sauce is super flavorful and garlicy, and is not overpowered by Oregano. I hate too much Oregano or Fennel in anything. This is just perfect, garlic and wine tasting best sauce ever!!! The pepperoni is super thick and spicy and curls upward when it cooks and the edges get that little char chrunch. Get a Large with Extra Cheese and Pepperoni and you will not be dissapointed. . So perfect in every way! I've been trying to find a place to top it or even be similar close to home and no one fits the bill. The large we get with said toppings is just under $30.00 but this isn't a normal large. It feeds about 8 adults. We get it, and eat it for days! I like this place. I've always been treated well by staff. I'm used to really decent pizza since I grew up in NY (I know, it's an old stereotype). It really is the best pizza I've had in CA. One thing a really good pizza has is a good crust. Good taste, doughy on the inside and just a bit crispy on the outside. Sauce should be there, but not pasty. It should just a bit liquidy. The cheese on top should have some elasticity and taste just slightly salty, but you should still get the dairy/milky taste. These things only come with good ingredients that cost a little bit more, but it is worth it. Petrilli's has all of these going on. I really like that the crust has a bit of saltiness on the area where you hold it. Yum. I usually don't get toppings on my pizza as a good pizza really doesn't need it, but their toppings are pretty good. Just know that they REALLY overload your pizza with toppings. You can barely see any cheese when they're done. I know people out here kinda like that so that could be a good thing. It's worth a try if you haven't tried it. I'm sure you will like it, but you may not feel like spending the extra couple of bucks. Especially when chain places have coupons and people are having a hard enough time feeding their kids. And don't you get pissed when kids eat 2 bites of pizza and throw the rest out?!? If that's you, then get dominoes for your kid and go to this place when it's just the non-picky people.
