Lately though, I'm starting to reassess where we're at. Now, don't get me wrong. You've always been easy; conveniently located right off the highway that I drive down to get just about anywhere. You're open 24 hours, which is a rarity in this neck of the woods. Plus you have that really nice dude working there who likes to pet the dogs & give them treats. But now, I'm moving. Our imminent separation has given me the opportunity to really take a good hard look at your offerings. WestChev, I'm gonna level with you. All too often, you're out of the premium grades of gasoline. With no sign on the pump! Now this may not seem like a big deal to you, but my car likes the expensive crap. Most importantly (and you may want to sit down for this) your pumps are incredibly slow. It's like my car is coupling with a sloth. Pick up the speed, man, we've all got things to do! Finally, your snack selection is the pits. I may see you from time to time, you know, if I'm in the neighborhood. But for now, we're done.

The old owner was a pillar of the community, and was the milk of human kindness. Fast forward a decade, and you will find the new owner as charming as a scud missile, and the price gouging utterly appalling. They have a monopoly here, and they couldn't give a tinker's fart what you think. When they eventually lose the business when competitors appear, I suppose the penny will drop then...when it's too late. A real pity that they are stupid enough to allow this to happen, because as Marc noted, the station is a real throwback, and there is an unmistakable charm about this old business.

You can see the big above ground tank and actually hear the gas pumping as you walk by and someone is filling up. They have a little convenience store as well, near the trailhead for the for the Meadow trail on the way to Killarney Lake. Good thing that there were no line up. The issue is that it is not easy to get to this gas station if you are heading south. Well I was heading west so I managed to drive into the station. No line up. Gas as 209.9 everywhere and it was 207.9. Plus I have a CIBC credit so I get 2.5 cents off. So it was 205.4 for me. Gas has gotten so expensive.

Unsuspecting to no less than 4 cars...then harassing and lifting people's car in the air and apparently getting some sort of warning fee out of it. Insane. I get it's private property but basically if you're not there for gas DO NOT loiter or risk towing. OH and if you did get that charge dispute w CC like my friend. Screw those robbery guys extorting money!
