Imagine if you will, driving your vehicle into a shop, knowing that the only thing needed to be…read morefixed was a wire end connection, that broke the positive wire free from the starter, everything else running perfectly fine, to hearing back from the shop that after they had fixed the wire, that now not only will your vehicle not start, but in trying to start it it makes a terrible grinding noise. Starter motor now obviously has a new problem. After poor treatment from shop staff, paying $150 for the wiring fix, and no information given as to how the vehicle you drove in, now needs to be towed to be moved, you tow it to a friends shop to find out the cause. In examining you find that not only did they do a shotty job on the connection fix, but they had obviously taken out the starter motor to make room to do the fix, and most likely dropped the starter motor in process, because the nose cone of the starter was broken, and the broken off piece was just dropped inside the transmission casing, hence the terrible sound. The shop took no responsibility for their f' up, even knowing that the starter was new, and still under warranty. Welcome to SK Auto! I have never had worse treatment or service in my life, and can not worn enough people to STAY AWAY FROM THESE SHYSTERS!!!!!!!

it's never fun to see the tire light illuminated on your dashboard. it's worse when you're on…read morevacation and far from home but today i had the experience of having my airbnb host help me get my car to kal tire from robert's creek so that whatever sharp object was the culprit could be extracted and the tire could be patched. the guy who helped was polite, professional and told me that he'd be able to get it taken care of in about 45 min which was great since i was conscientious about imposing on my hostess's time to accompany me into town in case i ended up needing to leave it and return later. in the end, i paid a reasonable amount for the screw to be extracted and for the tire to be patched. it seemed like a small price to pay in terms of time and money to be back in business and put this behind me on my first full day in the area. i appreciated the effort and would say that if you find yourself in the same or similar situation along the sunshine coast, consider kal tire for your needs.
