It was an amazing auto repair shop - full of character, professional and the owner Tim, Leslie, Jim, John and the rest treated you like family. After dealing with the dealerships and big-box retailers, I went to Moore's and remained a loyal customer for the better part of 15 years. In this day of big shops and busy schedules and specialization, Moore's was the little diamond that stood out, the little engine that could. More times than I can count, they went the extra mile to diagnose a problem with my Jeep, to explain the problem so I understood what needed to be done and they worked with me to get it fixed. The work was priced right. It was done quickly, it was reliable, and the technicians were knowledgeable, honest and incredibly fair. I never had a reason to question the quality of the service I received. By far, Moore's was the best auto repair shop in Oakville and Jim, John and the rest of the technicians were and are world-class. The trouble with my 2004 Chevy Cavalier started about 3 weeks ago, when I stopped for red light,he…read moreengine started to idle so i took it to the mechanic who is a friend of mine,he told me to change the air filter,but the driving just got worse and two weeks like that the engine light came up so I went again to find the solution to have the car fixed. I ended up more spending,changing the ignition coil and saw other mechanic. After one week going with new ignition coil,the same problem,he told me to change the plugs and do an oil change for performance.I did all of this things,driving around with an engine light up and went again to consult other mechanics,etc.So lots of frustration until one of my friend told me to see Jeremy at the New Millenium Garage at Fourth Line they used to go there for years.I am so happy I did they found the problem in half hour,they fixed it the next day as they said they would,I saw 5 mechanics with no solutions,spending all that money what was not necessary at that time. Ben and Jeremy took the time and using their out of box thinking , they looked the car beneath ,did some investigations what others did not do and they found the problem right away. Two wires were shaved and touching the metal caused a short circuit and engine misfire in my car. Thank you again my car runs very well,problem solved,after all an old car can be fixed too if the mechanic do not judge and takes the time to have the real problem fixed instead of using "probably this work" solutions. Made an appt. for an undercoating and they weren't ready for me, sitting in the waiting room with…read moretheir desks in front of you and the constant back and forth made me feel like an employee on break rather than a customer. The undercoating was done in a sloppy manner and sprayed plastics such as the tops of the shock towers and the battery instead of just the posts but seemed to get all the areas but I'm just guessing as they don't provide you with any information about the service. At least they didn't fog the windshield and get too much on the engine. The thing that earned the one star is a scamkanic came out with a wad of fresh gray grease saying one of my ball joints leaked it out. I had to stifle myself as the vehicle was fairly new and had low miles, ball joints don't have that much grease in them and if it was coming out it would partially dirty from being exposed and last but not least the ball joints are sealed. I feel bad for any honest employees there that don't want to work in a place that lacks integrity, been there done that but at a much larger scale. I take my vehicles to the dealer and use OEM parts so the trick would never have worked.

After my experiences taking my car to Cross Ave over the last 3 years, I will never take my car anywhere else - because no one else has ever done the kind of quality work sam and his team do. Whenever I bring my car in to sam, i get it back working and feeling better than it had before the particular issue. Nevertheless, I gotta give it back to Cross Avenue and shout out a huuuuuge thank you to sam for keeping me on the road! You guys are the best of the best and my car would be toast if it wasn't for Sam's expertise in mechanics. I would recommend this place to anyone who knows the difference between quality work and quick fix work. If you want your car to stand the test of time--take it to sam!
