Hammonds Plains and surroundings aren't densely populated and so if you're from the local area, sooner or later you get to know everyone that works there, and they get to know you as well. You can probably find a snack to suit most everyone's needs - from potato chips to (hopefully) fresh sandwiches. It's also fairly well-staffed. Having two counter people (at least when I've been there) definitely helps move things along so you can move along.
