Their online presence includes no address, no phone number. There are no services (food etc) nearby. I was stranded there last month with no cell signal and a malfunctioning satellite/ELD and needed to reach my dispatch. It was an 800 number. The cashier's only response to my pleas to make a quick call was "We have no pay-phone" over and over and over. For a gas station to refuse a stranded motorist the simple courtesy of a phone to call for help, is unconscionable. Particularly in a nation like Canada and in the winter. I lodged a complaint to PetroCanada and found they have no policy forbidding customers from using the phone, and especially not in such a situation. This was entirely the decision of either the owner of this location, or the little cashier. This was over a month ago and I've heard nothing back from PetroCanada or their parent company. read more
