I began working with LS Carlson Law about a year ago after spending nearly two years fighting my…read moreHOA over serious mishandling of funds. After getting nowhere with my previous counsel, I was referred to LS Carlson Law, and attorney Ahmet Brown took over my case. From that moment forward, everything finally started moving again. The firm followed every proper legal channel and applied the right pressure to force the HOA to respond and produce the documents (some) they had been avoiding for years. The case ultimately went to mediation, where I was able to recover most of the money I had spent up to that point. While I didn't walk away with additional compensation (which was disappointing after such a long battle) Ahmet reminded me that a successful mediation is often one where neither side feels completely satisfied. He was right, and I appreciated the honesty. Today, I've had to rehire the firm because the HOA failed to comply with part of the settlement agreement. At this stage, with all the groundwork already done, I'm confident the process will move much faster. I'm hopeful that this time I'll finally see meaningful accountability, and maybe even some compensation, for the stress and financial harm this HOA has caused. LS Carlson Law has been the only firm able to make real progress in a situation that felt impossible. I'm grateful for their persistence, professionalism, and deep understanding of HOA law.

I have to send them multiple email to ask for status update then suddenly LSCarson attorney sent me an email on April 8th , 2026 that they are out of office for Thanks Giving holidays and will be able to respond at December 1st ! Impressively, then charged me 450 dollars for that stupid incompetent email. All they did was send a standard document request letter to the HOA and charged me over 2500 which I told them clearly, I do not need a new document request letter since I have had it all from previous attorney's record request. Hourly rate between 450 and 525 are insane for DO NOTHING WORK and wasted my time and money after 3,5 months.

I prefer to stick to positive reviews and forget about the negative experiences, but our experience…read moreusing Talcott as our title company was so dramatically stressful, it deserves some attention. (Especially since my past experience with title companies was so unmemorable because of how uneventful the closes were). What is sad is we had such an awesome buyer for our house sale (which is not always the case!). That considered this should have been a pleasant experience, but we felt it was this title company that aided the house closing in being so stressful as well as stressing all relationships involved. Now first of all, because the documents were so last minute getting to us, the remote closing became very stressful because of how pressed for time we were. Now real estate law is obviously not my forte, but I was the one who caught about a $500 math error (against our favor of course) in the closing documents. These closing documents were being prepared last minute for a remote closing, so it was very strenuous. Besides, I expect a professional to be able to have exact calculations in simple math and not require correction by a non expert. Now I do have some expertise in contract negotiation so I was very disturbed how last minute we received our lease back contract so that I barely had any time to review or negotiate what I was signing, which I felt was a little underhanded. At first, Mr. Talcott was unwilling to bend on what I thought was some unreasonable language. But thankfully, the lovely buyer was willing to compromise, as we were too. Documents seemed to be altered after we signed. It seems like the changes should have been more directly shared with us. Our realtor had a hard time getting copies of these completed documents after we signed which was a little disturbing. Besides, the delayed lease back contract, because of how late it was getting to us, missed our remote signing and had to be signed electronically. The other thing is the fees from Talcott seemed high, especially for the frustration we received in their service. Lastly, getting the deposit back after the lease back took a while, about a month. Now that I have gotten this horrible experience off my chest, hopefully I can just focus on the bliss of the happy seller and joyful buyer in a transaction. :)
