He did not have an easy start to his life & was terrified & anxious. So we had to make sure we started the process of getting him used to a specific sitter, months in advance. Mike suggested Rafael, who was absolutely wonderful. We set up visits with him, on a regular basis, eventually easing into longer time periods over several months. Each time Rafael knew exactly how to proceed in order to get our sweet boy to the point of feeling safe & comfortable with him. He even sent us pictures & updates with each visit. We've been taking our dog, Sadie, there 1-2 times a week for about 3 months. We bring her to socialize and we've picked up a 2nd day because she loves being there so much. I am retired, so she's strictly there for fun and socializing. When we pull up and park the car, open the door, she runs to the door and waits for me to open it. That tells all. That's the barometer! The Center is clean, fully staffed with trained handlers, they're always accommodating (full or half day) and most importantly, all furries are given a lot of love, activity and attention!
