I've been taking my pets to Banfield @Petsmart for over a decade, while I see the Facebook posts related to a "stolen" dog I feel this must be an isolated incident related to a single employee. I have never had an issue and only had the utmost care for my fur kids whether it was my own or my aunts cat who needed end of life care. Recently, my dog was attacked by another and Dr. Smith and Jonathan were amazing and when I go in just to shop they still ask how my little guy is doing. All the staff I have encountered have been courteous, kind and empathetic and took excellent care of my dog. I always say there is more to a story and I think in the case of the Frenchie that was brought in this is the case. I love Banfield, the doctors and staff are amazing. I read the Frenchie was reunited with their family so all ended well and I'm certain that whatever happened they will take care of the situation. I will continue to trust in their care and I know they always have the best interest of the patients in their care at top of mind. read more

I went to this location by accident, but was 15 minutes early to the appointment. I told them I was going to run my dog over to the place where the appointment was booked (which was a 10-minute drive away. They told me to wait while they called the other location to see if they could still take my dog in for the grooming. I waited there for 5 minutes, confused because if they had just let me go, I would have made it in time. Instead, they told me the other location told them they couldn't take him. The girl at the Broken Arrow location was rude as hell, and I was frustrated beyond belief. So I called the other location in Tulsa on 71st Street to see if they would just let me bring him in and that I would pay extra. That girl was also rude. So not only will I NEVER take my dogs to be groomed at PetSmart, but I will never set foot in their doors again. That kind of customer service is abysmal, and the lack of care to an honest mistake and lack of willingness to work with me in that situation tells me that they don't care about their customers. I would have been extremely grateful if they just would have worked with me and would have sang their praises, but now I will tell everyone I know this story and tell them not to go there. I love how this location is so open to letting rescues come in and use their facilities for adoption events. Sometimes it gets a little crowded and congested, but finding families for homeless pets seems to be a priority for them (and it obviously increases foot traffic as well). They have a training area where they offer training classes or one-on-one training opportunities. When it's not in use, the adoption groups are allowed to use this area to let potential adopters get to know the animals in a quiet, secluded enclosure. Petsmart's prices are comparable to other pet stores, but they also have sales and clearance that are worth browsing for deals. I wish Petsmart would carry salt water fish and more salt water aquarium supplies. As far as I know, none of them carry salt water fish. The staff at this location is always friendly and helpful. The store is usually well kept. read more

I have been taking my dog to be groomed for over 5 years and have been pleased. But took her on Tuesday before Thanksgiving 2021 and was NOT pleased. I understand accidents happen so not angry that somehow they clipped her too close on her forhead but very angry that no one told me. Since it was dark outside and I was in a hurry didn't notice until we got home. I called and spoke to Austin the assistant manager and he took my info and had a manager call me the next day. I can't remember his name but he said that his groomer told him that my dog was fine when I picked her up. I told him I had a picture I could bring up and show him but he said no need if I wanted to have their vet look at her I could bring her up. I told him already put medicine on and she is fine. All I wanted was a simple I am sorry and instead basically told it didn't happen. So decided since they didn't want to see the picture I would post instead. Accidents happen and when they do a apology goes a long way. I will be looking for a new place to go in the future. read more

PetSmart is the way to go for a cheap haircut! I spent $40 on a full body haircut and wash for my little Shi Tzu. My only complaint is that they never really exceed my expectations when it comes to dog grooming. My dogs face still looked raggedy and they barely touched his paws (which if you have a Shi Tzu, you understand why that's a problem). The worked always seem happy to help and excited to see my dog, which I love! It takes about 3-4 hours depending on the size of dog I believe. And if you're a rewards member, you can earn points and redeem them for a discount! You can also book appointments online which is AMAZING! Definitely going back! I might speak up and ask them to for sure groom his face/privates/paws/ears a lot better. read more

Genuine people work here, and though they do get a bit disorganized at times, they are very friendly and helpful. A nice gal took us around and showed my daughter all the coolest potential pets yesterday. The one-on-one time made her day. And I saw another employee doing the same with other customers. Now I can't speak for the grooming dept, as I've never used that service here. But the service up front is excellent. I even scored a $100 birdcage and stand for only 4 bucks. How sweet is that? We never would have known the items along the front window were so severely discounted except the very helpful young lady made sure we knew. Why was there no discount sticker on said items? I dunno. Sure, again, a bit disorganized at times. But good, helpful workers, keeping a clean store and taking good care of their animals. PetSmart just lost my business for good. I booked a grooming appointment for my dog a week ago. My dog and I walked into the grooming salon at the designated time. While I was waiting for one of the groomers to find my appointment in the computer, I saw another groomer drag a dog that looked like a Cocker Spaniel out of the back room by a leash that was fastened to a neck collar. The groomer had such a tight grip on the leash that the dog's front paws never hit the ground until they got to the grooming station for the dog. As soon as the groomer let the dog down and attached the leash to the lock, the dog immediately started coughing from the choking he had just received. The dog never resisted the groomer at all. Finally the groomer attending to me said she could not find my appointment and that I could not be helped!!! GOOD RIDDANCE PETSMART!!! LAME! read more

My dog was mistreated here. She used to willingly go into the bathroom with me to brush her teeth, but after coming here to get groomed, she now gets anxiety shakes when water is running. When I asked how my dog was, the receptionist looked to the side awkwardly and said, "I thought she was good... "I didn't like that response nor did my bf. Now it's obvious she was mishandled because the next groomer I took her to said she was something. He didn't know if it was because of her breed or because she was treated wrongly previously. I brought my puppy in today for a bath and nail trim. She was crying when I picked her up and they informed me she cried the entire time she was getting her nails trimmed, which was odd because she's had them done once before and she was fine. I asked them to grind them NOT clip. When I got her to the car I realized all her nails on her back paws were bleeding and clearly clipped too short. Obviously they have no experience and even worse couldn't see she was bleeding. Or they just didn't care. I find it comical they charged me extra for nail grinding and when I went back inside they said they didn't grind them, they used the clippers. Then they offered me a credit for next time, like I would ever trust them with my dog again. Worst experience ever. If they can't nail grind, which is a basic task, what can they do correctly? read more

Had an appt with Darian at the groomers. Asked for a puppy TRIM, they proceeded to tell me that my 3 month old yorkie was too young, that he had to wait until he was 6 months old before they would cut his fur. I said no I'd like his fur trimmed a little. The employee then told me fine then it will be an adult trim and that's 50. So now I have to pay you more to get his fur cut? Why is he now old enough if I pay the 50? Petsmart is the worst. Wont be going back. read more

I took my dog to be groomed. I have been taking him there for probably a year. I got him back and she had razor burned his butt. I thought it was a mistake so this time I took him in and told the person who checked him in about the razor burn and ask them to be careful. This time she razor burned him on his butt and even got the bottom of his anus. He is having a hard time sitting. This was on purpose!! I will never take him back there!! read more

We do go to this PetSmart often, but it's not because of their service, prices, Veterinarians, etc...they just happen to have the best selection of pet products in the BA area. It's the only place we can buy Science Diet dog food, and we use the Banfield vet services, but we are considering other options. The last time we picked up our dog from Banfield, they had done a teeth cleaning procedure, and our dog was very sick. We believe they had her under too much anesthesia or she was under too long. This is a very touchy subject for me, because we have had a previous dog pass away from this very same issue. Other than that, the prices are WAY too high, but you might be able to catch a deal if you watch store and manufacturer coupons. The lines are often backed up, and the staff is not too pleasant to be around. There has been an exception of one employee who really went out of her way to help us, and you can tell she has a passion for animals. I wish I could remember her name, so I could recommend her if you visit this location! read more

The grooming salon was overbooked & I was informed upon arrival with my dog that I had been given bad information by the call ctr regarding their ability to give my dog a full grooming! They told me I should have been sure I was speaking with the grooming salon rather than the call center. When I called the store, it was answered "Thank you for calling Broken Arrow Pet Smart"! How would I know it was a call ctr! So after taking my dog over, I was told that he couldn't be groomed! The grooming manager wasn't helpful & tried to tell me all the reasons why it wasn't their fault & that they were overbooked all week. How is this my fault or problem. I waited for the store mgr for 10 minutes only to leave as I got tired of waiting. Two attempts to call the call ctr to complain left me on hold for a prolonged period. I thought why am I doing this? I don't want to go back at this point. I will never go to this store again! Service is AWFUL! Salon was covered in dog hair that didn't even go to the 2 dogs being groomed! What a mess! Shopped here since store opened (years) dropped by to get cost of trimming my 5 month old poodle puppy. Somer helped us & was super nice,scheduled cut for xmas eve at 3pm, quoted price of $20.00 just to trim her snout & butt for us, also had nails trimmed, Somer also asked both groomers working with her if $20 was the correct price judging by the size of our puppy (24 lbs) whom was with us, all 3 agreed since she's a baby standard poodle so $20 is correct. THEN..... 2:45 pm xmas eve my wife took her in, lady immediately jumped all over her for bringing pup in late (15 mins early) because they close at 6pm & are really busy, my wife just figured shes an angry person & let it slide. She told the heavy set woman groomer we want nails trimmed as well as shave her butt & snout, lady didn't seem to interested in listening as she was trying to rush her out the door. She said will call when pup is finished. My wife arrived to a very stressful, chaotic scene, way too many customers arrived at the same time. Next she saw our puppy, from head to tail to the toes she was shaved!!! She tried not to get upset as the hair will grow back. At checkout they charged us $80.00 for a PREMIUM standard poodle (ADULT) cut, she asked why but the groomer (heavyset lady was already cranky) was too busy grooming dogs to even face my wife. So, she text me about what she could do, I advised her will email corporate so go ahead & pay it. Emailed corporate same day but it's been almost 3 months & haven't heard ANYTHING FROM CORPORATE! So here's what happens next, I am pretty popular on twitter, facebook & ello. I will GLADLY smear this petsmart's reputation to the masses but not yet, I am waiting for store manager and/or corporate to read this review & make things right! You owe us $60.00 and an apology from your nasty, hateful groomer. We've spent thousands at this store & we will NOT be back until this is made right! I've been in retail for about 22 years now & know what excellent customer service is.This groomer has no business dealing with customers, my wife never complains about bad service,she usually jokes about it & goes on with her business. Do not take your dog to the Broken Arrow Petsmart. My dog went in for a simple bath and brush. This service includes bath, brushing, nail grinding, paw pad shaving, ear cleaning, and a couple other things. Poor Watson went there once before and some of the services weren't completed because he had tummy problems from being nervous. I understood and was perfectly ok with that due to it being his first grooming. Since then Watson has been to daycare, 2 vet appointments, and boarding with no problems to be had. Watson was dropped off at 855 this morning and I received a call at 1030 he was ready to go. This was supposed to be a 2-3 hour service. When I picked him up the groomers did not say one word to me about any problems with Watson. I took Watson outside to use the restroom and to check his grooming. I noticed the groomers didn't grind his nails or shave his paw pads... again. When I went back inside they said I didn't ask for that. I informed them it was included in his package and showed the receipt. They walked away to get the groomer who gave him his bath. The groomer came out and said Watson was "being difficult" and was refusing to stand and urinating and that is why they didn't preform the service. I asked why this wasn't said to me when checking out and the groomer didn't respond to my question and only stated, "I have multiple witnesses". I walked out pissed as my dog is practically screaming in fear of being handed back to the groomers. My dog is a rescue. My dog has been abused at some point in his past. My dog was nervous. These petsmart groomers were lazy and didn't want to deal with him so they took shortcuts to not complete the service I had already paid for. These petsmart groomers didn't want to take the time to be gentle with a senor dog who was scared. Not one time during getting my refund did they apologize or offer to try again. Groomer salon is horrible. They booked for incorrect service, couldn't care less about what I actually wanted, forgot to tell me I needed to bring documentation until I had arrived with my pet, had pissy attitudes (one refused to give me her name for obvious reasons), they wouldn't take payment over the phone for curbside service as it clearly states on their website and was just hateful about all of it. Finally a manager got on the phone (after I was told "he" wasn't available) and took payment and apologized for the confusion. Based on reviews the groomer salon looks to have attitude problems for years. Petsmart deserves the negative reviews at this point for not doing anything about it. read more

!!! 0000 ZERO STARS!!! Be very careful taking your pet to Petsmart for any surgery. I recently took my 10 month old puppy to get fixed at Petsmart and she passed away while under anesthesia. The "Dr." Said they did everything the could to try and save her. And told me they did all the proper testing prior to the surgery but I don't believe them. Statistics say 1 in every 1000 pets dies from anesthesia. I think it was carelessness. read more

Zero Stars. The staff did not offer to help me until I had been in the store for several minutes looking at dog crates. When I wanted to compare two different crates 'side-b-side', they would not let me cut the zip-ties off of a crate to put the top-half on top of the bottom-half of one crate. I was not going to damage the crate in any way, I simply wanted to see it one piece instead of two halves on the floor. The worker, Argentin, was rude and unprofessional in his conversation with me. I walked out and they lost a $150 purchase to the other pet store (you know who I'm talking about), where the employees were excellent and treated me as a valued customer. read more

We keep having horrible experiences with their grooming salon. Let me preface by saying that Banfield has been great and the store employees are super friendly, however, several of the groomers here seem inept. A particular groomer that we made the mistake of booking with more than once has, in both instance, held our dog in a kennel for 3 hours before calling to tell us that she just can't handle our dog as he is too aggressive. He is a mini schnauzer and if he bit me as hard as he could it wouldn't draw blood. The last time we went, she acted like our dog, who is super lovable and loves attention from anyone, had horrible behavioral issues. She suggested that we take him to a veterinarian who could sedate him before cutting his hair. When we came to pick up our dog so the poor thing wouldn't be stuck with her, she insisted that wait until other dogs were "out of the way." Our dog has never bitten another dog or a person. He lives with another dog, a cat, and is regularly rough housed by kids. If a person doesn't have time to groom an animal or, for whatever reason, just doesn't want to, that's fine but please don't blame a sweet little dog for your laziness or lack of skill/training. read more

I have had good and bad groomers, the bath most can handle but the shaving, wow, not so much 9/10 times.. My biggest concern though is kennel cough, in past 2 months I have had both of my dogs get it from there 2 different times. The incubation period is about 4 days and expensive to fix. And my dogs are vacinated for this. read more

Once again a bad experience with getting our dog groomed. Thought we'd give these folks a try as our long time groomer is out of service with heart issues and once again not good. The overall hair cut wasn't bad, and it appears he was bathed, however the nail trim is horrible. Wasn't advised at pick up they had a bleeding problem on his right hind foot. On the trip home noticed it. We where on our street by then some 5 miles away. Called to let them know and of course all they say is try some flour or corn starch which we were already trying. Some nails appear to be trimmed other not. Should have been told at pick up what had happened and to be aware. Very poor customer service as far as I'm concerned and not any better concern for the well being of your pet. Be ware and be advised. We will never use this company as a groomer again and will advise everyone we know with a pet to steer clear of these folks. read more

This is not an important topic for sure, as it has nothing to do with harming any animal or any person for that matter. I stopped in the store a couple months ago. After paying for my items I noticed the large display near the front door. There were large cardboard cutouts of various adorable dogs. I commented that I loved the large pictures, and asked what they did with them when they changed displays. The clerk asked the manager, he told me that they just throw them away. I asked if I could come back and have them, as I am a crafty artsy crazy lady, and he said that would be fine. Told me to wait until Halloween and I could come back and he would see to it that I could have them. Yeah, you guessed it. It's November the first, the day after Halloween and they have already "recycled" them. The manager (not the same one), did go and look for them, at least he said he did. I know he and the clerk standing there could see my disappointment. He just shrugged his shoulders, and acted like it was no big deal. It isn't a bid deal!!! But, does anyone below the age of 40 know what it means to keep your word, even if it's completely unimportant and insignificant? I admire PetSmart for all they do for animals, and the adoption drives they hold, but I think I will shop at a different store than the Broken Arrow site. read more

I took my dog to Pet Smart for grooming services,and being the first time my dog had been to them, I warned the groomer that he might nip. We went back to get him two hours after his appt time, and they were just starting. The groomer had the muzzle on him then decided to give him a break, then tried to put it back it back on, and he nipped at her. Long story short, they filed a police report, we had to quarantine our dog for 10 days, and two trips to the vet to prove he did not have rabies! And on top of that, his hair was halfway cut!!
