We stopped in to visit a dog that is up for adoption; but, because he had a minor health issue, the vet kept him; and, my wife and I only got to meet the volunteer staff and the Director of Lil Rascals Dog Rescue. The folks working the shelters, as well as all of the PetSmart staff, are super friendly and very helpful. Its a great cooperative endeavor between Lil Rascals Dog Rescue, the cat rescue, and PetSmart. Thanks for being there for all the animals that need you. read more

For all my price match people, this is not the store to buy from. I've been working in the veterinary industry for a few years now. My job gets discounts from the Hills website. My vet hospital has told me since day 1 that I am able to price match at any PetSmart, and I've consistently bought food since 2019 at locations up and down FL with no issue. This store was the first time I got turned away. I unfortunately just moved to this area and this was the only option for me late last night. This morning, I went back to my usual store in Orlando and they approved my VIP discount. This is a smaller store so they must have stricter rules, but I did not like their attitude either. I'm a little baffled by the bad reviews, I did not have any issues here. The girl who was working the register was super sweet and gave my puppy a treat when she saw she was scared of the automatic door. Other shoppers were also super sweet and gave Callie lots of lovies, and pup loved the attention. I found everything I was looking for except one item. I had some great coupons we received when adopting Callie and I saved $20. I like that they have a rewards program and I earned a bunch of points even though my total was low because of the coupons. I have not used any of the grooming services yet so I can't speak on that yet. But the store was clean and all the staff I encountered (cashier, people stocking aisles) were very nice and helpful. I applied here because I love animals. The manager called me and told me I'm hired for the "beta" position , something I never applied for but decided to give it a shot anyways . I called back and asked the employee Devin that answered the phone what is the beta position and she's very kindly and professionally explained she wasn't sure so she passed the phone to the manager and this lady very rudely said she doesn't have time for this and to ask whatever questions I have the day of the interview. For this not to happen in the the future how about educated your employees to answer a simple question instead of being rude. I'm happy I dodged a bullet working for this very rude management. I have been a customer for over a year now and have had good experiences. Today, my dog began throwing up due to what I discovered was bugs in my dog food bag. I called the store and Amy told me to bring it in for a refund or exchange. when I got in the store, Carl, the manager, disposed of the food I brought in, and recommendEd a new brand. The 2 of them made sure I left with more than enough dry food, wet food, and even a toy free of charge due to our inconvenience. Petsmart, a great place to take your pet out of the house and let them roam around off course on the leash. Lost to look at and they even have dogs and cats for adoptions(Dogs only on the weekends). They also offer a clinic in-case your dog gets sick and a grooming service if your dogs needs his or her nails clipped or a bath. This store has been here for quit some time and it is located in Casselberry right of 17-92, right next to Target and in the same plaza as Steak n Shake. The service seems not to bad , I gave it four stars because that was fair enough nothing seemed to special about this place but it is still a nice place to bring your dog for a walk and don't worry if he has to go to the bathroom there is cleaning stations located around the store. read more

I am beyond disappointed and frustrated with the staff at this location. Particularly the grooming/Banfield staff who were incredibly incompetent and not helpful. Specifically Drew the vet tech. He was beyond rude and condescending with my mother. He was the worst. I trusted them with grooming my sweet pup only to get a call that the razor got too close to his skin and that it wasn't bad. That maybe he'd be irritated that the groom was on them. I didn't feel comfortable with how nonchalant that phone call ended so I drove myself to see him. They told me they were waiting for the vet to come back from lunch to apply skin glue and give me pain medication. The "knick" as they kept referring to was way worse than I was led on to be. I almost wanted to cry right then and there. I asked if this is what they call a knick, but everyone was silent as if they didn't hear me. I am so baffled at the incompetence at this location. I am also so upset with myself that I trusted these people with my dog particularly Sandy the groomer however, she was extremely apologetic and I understand accidents happen, but show a bit of sympathy... You have got to be kidding me. I've been going to this location for 6 months. Joe the manager on duty was completely uncaring, unmoved and completely obvious to the chaos in the grooming center. I have video which I posted to my Instagram account with pet smart's famous #inspiredbypets. It's unfortunate that we spend of great deal of money at the store weekly and monthly and now we'll have to stop shopping here and seek out a responsible, caring groomer. It's not the one stop shop you believe it to be. I was told by Joe that Alan would be giving me a call tomorrow to discuss the rudeness of the groomers along with an explanation as to why someone else's freshly groomed poodle untied herself with those opposable thumbs so it could come say hi to my husband and I while we patiently waited for our Lhasa Apso, Bebop. After I showed Joe the video he said that he was unaware and that he would find out why a dog is loose like that. This is completely and wholeheartedly unacceptable. At no point should my dog or anyone's dog be roaming free like that. I could have been bitten or worse. I could multiple liabilities. Never get approached through out the store or asked if I need any help, which I don't mind cause I'm usually in and out but doesn't make it real welcoming. Check the bottom of your receipt, there are usually dollar or percent off coupons you can use on your next purchase. read more

Just your typical Petsmart. Great place to treat your dog after leaving them shut up in the house all week while you work. Let them indulge in picking out their next toy to shred to pieces or just give them an opportunity to extend a friendly "hello" to another dog by sniffing his rear. My 3-star rating stems from not having a disappointing adventure here but also not having a overwhelming pleasant experience either. Just your average experience. The employees offered assistance as needed, store was devoid of any recent doggie accidents, and the food and toy selection was good. One thing that I do love about Petsmart is their dog training courses that they offer and that they are very amiable to welcoming pet rescue organizations to bring the adoptable pets to their locations on the weekends. Took my 5 and a half month puppy to be groomed for the first time. I was told that they would only be able to trim around her face, her paws and trim her nails. They also shampooed her. The only thing that was trimmed were her paws which were cut very unevenly. Her nails were trimmed, but the woman split every one of her nails except for two and I could tell one of them had been bleeding. The price was decent and the people were decent; however, I was very unhappy with the results and will not be going back their again. read more

When someone finally did she helped another customer first, who the employee allowed to stick her UNWASHED hands into a variety of tanks to fish out snails. I've taken my dog to this PetSmart a couple of times. Now I'm very concerned about what may have happened to my dog during those times. I brought him in a few days ago to be groomed and while I was waiting for them to take him I watched a groomer trimming a dog. It was the worst abuse I have ever seen from a groomer. He slammed the dog up against the wall and held him there tightly. Not once did I see this dog try and bite or become aggressive in any manner. Then he yanked the dog up by the front legs and began to shave his back legs. The dog yelped a couple of times obviously because the groomer was hurting him. He kept yelling at the dog "Shut up". When the dog squirmed a third time because he hurt him again with the clippers the dog fell off the table and the groomer yanked him up by his front legs and threw him back on the table. I was absolutely disgusted. I asked the girl at the register who was going to groom my dog. She said Eric was. I pointed to the bad groomer and asked if that was Eric. She said yes. I told her "Oh no he is not." And I left with my dog. I could hear the dog all the way out in the parking lot. When I got home I called the manager Karen and let her know the treatment that the little dog had received. She said the blah blah blah I will talk to him, I don't understand, etc But she really didn't seem all that interested. I was very surprised that no one else ever called me back about the treatment that that dog received. They have lost a customer. In fact PetSmart has lost a customer because I will never take my dog to another PetSmart again for grooming. As for Eric, he should be held on charges of animal abuse. DO NOT USE THIS STORE FOR GROOMING!!! I took my Serbian Husky there 4 different time. The first visit was great had Jamie as a groomer. When I took her back for the second time using the same groomer after a couple of days home she began chewing and scratching herself which never happen before. Took her to the vet and found out they used a different kind of soap that dried her skin out to cause a reaction. When I called and let them know they stated that maybe it was fleas, which she has been on flea med. and her begin white I would see this. I took her back again and was referred to another groomer this time Selena and they said no charge. This visit was great with her. Upon my next visit i requested Selena again seeming she handled my dog very well before. I dropped her off for a 12 appointment and was told that she would be ready about 4 - 4.5 hrs. I receive a call about 3 - 3.5 hrs later stating my dog was ready. Upon me picking her up I went to feel her and in the back by the legs and rear of the dog she was still wet. I asked for the store manager told him what happen and was given a refund due to there policy- WILL REFUND IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY!!. I recently contacted them to schedule a grooming again giving Selena another chance (oh by the way never received a call from Selena asking what happen when I picked her up.) When I called in they told me that she had a open at 12 but left at 3:30 maybe a problem cause Serbian Husky take about 4 -4.5 hrs to dry but will pencil it in and have Selena talk to me if a problem. I received a call the next day stating that they would not groom my dog cause they couldn't make me happy. In speaking to the Manager I asked if my dog takes 4 -4.5 hours to dry and the groomer knew this how does this affect me if the groomer accepted the appointment knowing she could not fill this cause she had to leave when her shift was over. If she was in the middle of cutting a dog does she leave the dog half cut and return to the owner that way. I feel that they don't have professional staff and that if the groomer said I don't have enough time cause of my schedule and I have to do her another time and I decided to leave her then that's my fault...but why is this MINE!!!!! I used the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs and Lake Mary and had no trouble. If you love you animal like your children STAY AWAY!!!!!! read more

I've never had a problem with this PetSmart before this past Saturday 5/30. All the staff there have been friendly and courteous. Well this shopping trip was entirely different. I received in the morning a $5.00 off a $30.00 purchase coupon in my email. At the check out I handed the clerk my phone to scan the coupon. It wouldn't work. The clerk said "It won't work because it says you already used it". I told him that was impossible that I just received the coupon. He called over the assistant manager/manager and she came over and tried it. She said "It's not working because you already used it" in a snarky tone of voice. I told her I sometimes have problems with my phone and you might have to enter the numbers instead of scanning it. She said in her snarky tone of voice "M'am our scanners work with all phones and you must have used the coupon but that's okay I'm going to give it to you anyway" and stormed off. I've worked in retail and I have at least talked respectfully to my customers even if I didn't believe them. read more

I took my dog to the grooming salon at the Casselberry location for a bath and nail trim. I have noticed that all of the groomers seem to hate their jobs. They usually do a decent job for a decent price so I was okay with leaving my dog there. Then, I received a call about two hours after dropping my dog off and the groomer Ashley stated that I needed to pick my dog up ASAP because she was "rubbing her nose on the kennel." She sounded panicked. I went there to pick my dog up right away and there were four women that worked there standing around inside. My dog was on a leash on top of the table used to groom and trim nails. She had her tail between her legs and was shaking violently. She is very friendly and never scared. She normally is "waddling" her butt side to side because she is wagging her tail out of excitement. She had decent sized cut on the top of her nose that looked like it had been nicked by a razor. She does not get a haircut due to her short hair. Ashley told me she left her alone for ten minutes and when she came back her nose was like that. One of the other brunette women that is there often, stated that it was my fault because I mentioned she is not in the kennel as often. I paid then took my baby home. She was shaking and had her tail between her legs for an hour after I got her home. When I went to pet her and kiss her, she flinched like she thought I was going to hit her. I do not know what kind of abuse they did to her, but they definitely did something to her. I am very upset about the way my baby was treated and plan on contacting corporate. never again. used to go this petsmart weekly. last several trips have not been good. first the cashier, who I believe was the manager on duty, could not believe I didn't have a email address, which I do, but didn't want to give it to them again, just check out and be on my way, she continued on about how I don't have an email address, who cares. I then advised her if she kept talking about it, she could put my merchandise back on the shelve, she then advised me that I misunderstood what she meant, really. then to Monday evening 7:00 pm, one cashier, with a helper, eight people in line, then the great manager came to take next in line, I stayed where I was, didn't want to deal with her again. it turned out to be an adventure staying where I was, the customer in front of me has purchased several cans of dog food, the cashier questioned her if she wanted them in bags, the customer looked at her, shook her head and said yes, the helper didn't say a word, didn't lift a finger to help the customer or cashier, after attempting to put the cans in a bag, yes, attempting, the customer finally just asked for some bags and after purchasing the food, went to the side and bagged it herself, no help from the helper. next was my turn, between treats, cat food, 8 loose cans of dog food, 24 cans of boxed dog food, same questions, do you want any of this in a bag, well, lets see, by now its pouring rain, have to load in car, then unload when I get home, I did what the other customer did, just give me the bags, ill bag it myself. sad to say, this is what retailers have to deal with, lazy, incompetent employees. will try the petsmart in lake mary, but will not go back to Casselberry again read more
