I am not really much of a fan of this petsmart due to the parking situation. The parking is free but this plaza/shopping building is too overwhelming. I do like how organized this petsmart is. The workers are very helpful and everything seems stocked. They have sales for kibble topper, by 6 get 2 free I believe. I wish they had a lot more options for puller doggo harnesses.. The customer service at the groomers of this place is horrible. It was my first time to this location for grooming & I can say they make sure you have the vaccine paperwork so your animals are safe. But I walked in and there was another dog owner paying and finishing up. An the guy groomer with the glasses told me to "GET OUT" I look at him like ! Confused because he didn't explain anything or tell me there is rule that you must wait before coming in. Which I had no problem with. Then the is no sign to tell the cost of a haircut only for the quick services such as baths. So I assumed the baths come with a cut also. Which they were rude about explaining when I ask for my dog tummy to be shaved. I choose the species but they quickly got a random one and wouldn't let me change it to the one I wanted. Boarded my puppy Espn for the first time, she's a 5 month goldendoodle. She stayed for 4 days and had no issue at all. They kept me up to date and sent pictures on messenger. Only thing I was iffy about was that they pee and poop on a floor that is designated for that or something like that... but it doesn't seem to have been a problem when she came home she goes out on the grass like normal. For the regular pet items, I usually make them at the grocery store or even online sometimes but I recently came in here last minute for an item I needed immediately. The food variety is pretty organized and has plenty of specific dietary blends for all types of dog sizes and breeds. When it comes to traveling cages, bones, treats, grooming products, and all types of fear for your pet it definitely checks off most things a pet owner needs on their list. It's not only limited to dogs and cats although the majority of their inventory is directed towards them-they also have plenty of items for that bird lady in your family. What's great is that they have overnight boarding for your pets which isn't available at every PetsMart locations. They also have plenty of other retailers in the same center so it's easy to shop for yourself as well after securing a spot in the garage. read more

I like this Petsmart (and so does my pup!) I started coming to this PetSmart with my new pup, and have been happy with both the products and attention of the staff. From experience I've noticed three different aisles of dry dog food, as well as both wet canned food and snacks. The times I've gone the staff has been really helpful particularly Arielle and Suzy (who also doubles as the puppy school instructor). The staff have been patient with this new pup parent as far as the different types of food, toys and the aforementioned class. I haven't had a problem with store cleanliness; they offer a station for self cleaning of your furbabies' accidents (however some pet parents aren't responsible to do so but anywho...) I'm holding off the fifth star because I have not used all of their services (groomer and vet). Also, the parking garage spiral ramp is more worthy of a theme park thrill ride than a suburban shopping mall. However, that penalty regarding the ramp would apply to any business at this mall. This was my first time at this location. I'd ordered some cat food and treats from offline for the black friday sale (yes I think of my pets too) and set it for store pick-up. I typically go to the midtown location but they did not have all of the flavors available that I wanted for my fur babies. At first I was a little annoyed that I had to wait in line after discovering that there was no customer service. However at the same time, the check out system for online order pick-up isn't tedious and the waiting in line didn't bother me as much. Once the cashier called another store associate, the associate checked my ID and walked to a rack and retrieved my order. The fact that they have it in the front of the store readily available made it all the better. I think I may come to like this location more because while they have some of the same shops that midtown has, the parking here is free and they have more eateries and more stores as a whole. This Petsmart is located at the Miracle Marketplace, on the first floor. My husband, our little girl dog and I stopped by this Petsmart twice during our Miami vacation. Since we were already here at this shopping mall (upstairs is Nordstrom Rack, next door to DSW), we decided to come in looking for a can of wet food for our little girl. For some reason, since we have been in Florida, she has not been eating her usual dry food. So figured it would be best to mix her dry food with some canned food to encourage her to eat her meals (the things we do for our babies). Currently, there is a special with blue dog food, purchase 5 canned or wet food in a sealed pouch or container, get 1 free. We ended up getting a variety of different flavors of wet food for her and then proceeded to the register. Service was quick and friendly. Then we came another day because our little girl dog has been scratching a lot as well since we landed in Florida. Although I bought some of her dog wash (meant for sensitive skin), we decided to stop by to see if we can purchase some conditioner (preferably one with oatmeal and fragrance free for her sensitive skin and give her a bath. We were able to find a bottle and paid at the register (after her bath, she has been itching her skin less in case you are wondering). This particular Petsmart has a Banfield and grooming services available. There is also a pet hotel available as well in case you need to board your pet while you go on vacation or want to check in your pup into the doggy day camp for a day. Parking is free at this location (why do you have to pay for parking almost everywhere in Miami?). Great location for your pet needs. read more

We boarded our 3 cats there for 3 weeks; a 1yo, a 6yo, and a 12yo with health issues. Not only did they scrupulously follow the old lady's medication schedule, she actually gained weight (thyroid issues- she was getting dangerously skinny before we left). The kitten was played with frequently (they sent photos), and my weird middle child LOST weight (they followed the vet prescribed diet perfectly!!). These people are amazingly caring of both my animals and my long-distance-worry!! I can't recommend them enough. A clean facility, caring staff, and reasonable prices. He was getting the puppy bath package and I specifically told them that I cared most about his nail trimming and cleaning his ears! I made a grooming appointment for my dog who was supposed to get her rabies vaccine literally RIGHT after her bath and they turned me away. I understand policy however if you see you have an appointment set and can see all the information about the dog why not call me to let me know you wont accept her instead of having me go out my way and drive a good distance to have to be turned away. While many people have given this Petsmart location's kennel and boarding services low marks, which might be justified, for me just coming here to get an item or two on occasion, my experiences have always been good. Most recently I was dog sitting, when this usually well behaved and house broken doggie decided to get up in the middle of the night and use an area rug in my living room as his toilet. Of course, his gold-orange urine just had to fall in an area with snow white strips of carpet, and he did this several hours before I caught it the next morning. When I first noticed the stain, I tried to scrub it with dish detergent, water and then carpet shampoo, but none of those things got either the smell or the stain out. I read on the internet that, since urine stains are organic, the best/easiest way to get them out is by using organic products. I came here to Petsmart, found LOTS of offerings, and ended up getting a product from Shout (same company that makes the laundry stain remover) which has enzymes in it. After 3 or 4 treatments with this stuff, following the simple directions, the stain was lifted. I rolled the carpet over and treated the rubber backing and it also lifted the stain from there. A bottle of this stain remover was about $10, which seemed to be the going price for the smallest bottles of nearly all their pet stain cleanup supplies. That brings me to my next point about Petsmart...It's great when you need specific items that you may not find at department stores, or that you need in a hurry. However, as is the case with most "specialty" shops like pet stores, if your needs aren't urgent you can sometimes do much better on price by doing a simple internet search or even by making a visit to Target or one of the other big box places. read more

The Manager of the PetSmart Jose was very nice, apologize for the inconvenience and gave a free bath for the next visit and said that was impossible to trimmed on Sunday, because my dog bate and 3 groomers tried. And I said to the manager that next time call the owner before. And when he begin to bite, no proceed to grooming, because now my dog is very tense, the skin are very sensitive and damaged in the butt area. My recommendation don't do the grooming with Aliette. Yesterday I brought my father's Chow, Charlie for a shampoo, cut, brushing and fur vacuum. It said $98 on the website. The manager was emotionless, rude and does not seem to like animals or people. They charged an extra $8 because the Chow has long fur (seriously, Chows are supposed to have long fur). Fine. No problem. I came to get Charlie and he was completely shaved! I left my pup Besi here for 4 days while I went away to Mexico. Everyone was extremely friendly and informative as to what happens while you are away. One night is free boarding on your first visit there. You can bring your pups toys and bed there so he feels comfortable which is so important. Additionally you can bring your pets own food or they can supply food. I chose to bring Besito's food as he has a sensitive stomach and I didn't want to switch it up on him! A few cons- they didn't allow me to see the exact space he was staying in. 2) they told me they would send a pic of him on his first day and didnt. To continue with the pros- they offer doggie day care, gave him a free ice cream treat one of the days, made sure he was washed and clean after doggie day care as well as his bed. If your dog take meds for an additional 2 bucks a day they ensure that he has meds as well. Spots fill up for holidays so make sure to book ahead of time. I chose this location because I wanted to ensure that I brought my pet to a reputable location and that's what this was. Recommend to all! read more

When i left my dog he kept running back to me not to be left and the employee was dragging him with the leash and i had to pick him up and tell her to take it in her hands, mind you he is a small maltese. She was aboslutely disgusting. I left my dog for 4 days and he came back with his paws all dirty from pee and with poop stuck to his behind. Did not wanna eat when he came home and later on THREW UP BLOOD everywhere. Threw up food that WAS NOT dog food that they must have gave him and came back with his treat bag full as if they did not feed him the food we left him with. Pets Hotel- I am so upset that I hadn't seen these negative reviews regarding the Pets hotel in the Coral Gables location before allowing my boxer to stay here overnight. She has been boarded before at a different location. But when I picked her up from this location, I had the WORST feeling. First, the staff was very odd and didn't seem to care at check in or check out. They didn't check her shot records or ask me anything at all. Second, at pick up, She immediately peed on the floor the moment she saw me (which is not something she ever does). Third, we noticed her eyes looked red but I couldn't be sure. Four, she smelled like she was covered in pee. We had a 3 hour ride home from Miami. After getting home, I noticed that her eyes are puffy. And now I feel like complete crap, but what makes it worse is when I take her to potty, she just pees on the floor or concrete!!!! I'm completely livid right now that I feel like my dog was not in a sanitary environment and in all of 1 day, she's acting like she is not house trained! I seriously wish I could give this place zero stars! Do not take your dogs here. Most of my experience here is with the Daycare/PetHotel. A doggie day care/boarding facility is only as good as the people who work there. And Jose and his team are amazing. Every single staff member knows and remembers my 2 dogs. They go about once a month for overnight(s), and occasional day care/day camp. They LOVE it there. They come home all played out...and the staff consistently monitors and takes them out of camp if they appear tired or stressed. (My 2 gals are small and one a bit on the older side, so sometimes has just had enough play.) My dogs are like my children, and I wouldn't leave them with just anyone. At this PetSmart Pet Hotel, I'm more comfortable putting my dogs in their care, than even friends and family. They are the best. read more

My dog got injured once and not only have they not taken responsibility for it, i was left with $500 of bills to pay and was completely disrespected by the staff who had the audacity to ban me for even trying to make things right. I STILL don't know what happened to my dog and it's been 3 months. they refused to show footage and claimed i accused them of abusing my dog which was 100% not the case and they can even check the cameras to back me up if they even wanted to. I am such a frequent customer for EVERYTHING here at petsmart. I bring my dog for his necessities, grooming, vet appointments, and I used to be a regular at the dog hotel too until this unfortunate incident. There is an enourmous lack of communication and if you're protective of your pet like I am, I would steer clear. Even after the incident when he was healed, I brought him back because I was desperate for a babysitter, and after he had to have 30 days of complete rest, I thought it was time for him to play with his friends again. When I dropped him off that morning it was the usual -- dropped him off for doggy day camp and handed his "go bag" to the front desk receptionist. They said all was good to go and I was gonna pick him up in 6 hours. When I came back, they told me they kept him in one of the jail cells they call "rooms". They did not once call me to tell me this change or else I would have come and picked him up right away because my apartment is bigger than one of those rooms and he would have been happier in a bigger space. Not one form of communication was attempted to reach me to tell me that which really pissed me off. They claimed they called me but I always take any calls even spam calls and I bet if they checked the phone records, they would see absolutely no call. This business is corrupt. the only employee that was helpful at this location was the manager Jose, I believe his name is. He is the only one who has been helpful and professional throughout this entire inconvenience. I even brought him back a THIRD TIME! Yes, a third time, how stupid? I literally brought him back AGAIN because i feel so bad for leaving my baby alone at home all day!! And when i got there that morning, they THEN told me I was banned. Of course, when I'm in a rush. A more appropriate way to have gone about telling me that would have been at my last visit after the whole SECOND situation. They ended up keeping him in a private room (jail cell) just for that day because I was in a rush and had to speak to like 20 managers. I ended up missing and HOUR of work because of THEIR lack of communication. I will give them props though because at the end of this particular visit, there was a young lady who checked me out and SHE was the most professional employee at that pet hotel. She politely and calmly explained to me how they wouldn't be able to service me anymore and at that point I was just impressed that she actually knew how to talk to a customer. Other than that, every manager at the pet hotel treated me with complete disrespect and I would never recommend for anyone to go there. If you like taking risks, go ahead. But I will never trust them with my pet AGAIN! So what call do I get later on in the day? "We put him with the large dogs and he had problems with other dogs. Then we tried him with the hyper dogs..." Regarding the Grooming department , Joshua the groomer has a negative vibe . He lacks to show customer service and love for the profession ,not one smile to give not even when he is trying to add additional services to your bill . He had zero patience for my dog , Who was uncertain and nervous . Charged me additional fee of 7 dollars for dhemmatting when in reality the nots were shaved off. Gave me that feeling of "I wonder how he is treating my scared dog behind doors" when he called to say it would take an additional 2 hours because the dog was not cooperating when he wanted to blow dry his face . Love and assurance always works for scared dogs . Something he lacks . When I got there he has this bored annoyed frustrated look on his face . I hope petsmart takes a good look at this groomer. I waited for 25 minutes before leaving. Pet fur everywhere, they hadn't cleaned it off the floor after each grooming was complete.
