Received an E=certificate for Petsmart from my credit card company. It is pretty much a gift card that is printed out. They also sell them on their website. Well... The cashier had no idea what it was.. she called someone over who didn't know what it was. They then had to call a manager at home who also didn't know what it was. So stated to me since no one told them about it they don't take it. In other words... They don't honor their E-certificates in the store even though it clearly states they do on the form. So in less you want to buy dog food online do not purchase or give E-certificates from Petsmart. Still waiting after 4 days for a call back from the corporate office. read more

Its a Petsmart...if I want an item for a kitty that can not be easily obtained elsewhere than this is the spot. Good selection of toys treats outfits medicines etc. Also would be a great spot to.get all the makings of a fantastical tropical ecohabitat for a turtle(s) I do not yet own but would name Lloyda. Scheduled an appointment two weeks ago for our dog only to show up and the receptionist to tell us can you leave your dog for an hour the doctor went to lunch. Why would the vet physician go to lunch knowing they had an appointment? We told the receptionist no we can't leave our dog we have plans right after our appointment. What frustrates me the most is while the vet physician is out enjoying lunch the hourly paid associate is having to give the bad news to each customer, probably not the first time. We did not get upset with her but I can guarantee other customers are probably not going to be as calm. The doctor should be held accountable for any upset customers today not the receptionist. read more

New Pet Trainer- Sina- is amazing!!! Helped so much with my dogs behaviors. He did crate training and two of her courses. Amazing improvement! She is so helpful with questions and anything beyond the training. read more

Honestly, this is probably the worst customer service I have ever had from a PetSmart. I walked in, and while the whole store was clean, well stocked, and in order, I never got a hello or goodbye when I entered or left, even when I passed by 3 employees. My husband walked in a minute behind me, and never got greeted by any of the 4 employees (or the manager) that he passed. I wanted to check out the ball pythons and the bearded dragons they had in stock, but I had to go to the register (the girl there was sitting on the back of the counter with her feet next to the register) and ask for someone to come help me. When the guy got there, he opened the case for me to pull out one of the ball pythons. I normally don't like being the one to pull animals out of their cage from a store display, but I didn't mind in this case as the guy had been struck a couple weeks prior. Afterwards, he pulled out a bearded dragon for me to hold (once the python was back in the cage). The only reason that this review has 3 stars instead of the 2 it deserves, is because of the gentleman that came to help me at the reptile section (I wish I had gotten his name, but he had a bit of a "scruffier" face and was about 6' tall, I would say), and the fact that the store was clean and well stocked. read more

I joined Yelp just to let others know to NOT go to this PetSmart (and others if they are run the same way) to get your dog groomed! I took mine my dog and the next morning he had welts all over his back and had a leg cramp. In the short time tthat I took him back to the store (only 1 hr) the welts had spread to his stomach. They took him into Banfield and saw he had a serious infection (and even admitted it most likely came from there). They put him on an IV and found out the infection spread so fast it attached his nervous system which is why his leg "cramped" up. I ttook him home and the next morning he had even more problem walking and could hardly stand. Of course brought him right back to the store for a second time PetSmart/Banfield said it wasn't related and tried to charge tme for an office visit! After a major complaint to the manager Igot treatment but then went to tmy regular vet and got different medication etc. That vet confirmed it was due to infected clippers which probably weren't cleaned properly. Thank goodness my dog and best friend made it but we wonder if there were any dogs who also got it. Of course PetSmart didn't offer that info. When we turned the vet bills into PetSmart they said they weren't going to reimburse etc and after a lengthly battle they finally did. Of course the worst thing was not the money at all it was that the poor little dog had to go thru this!! Please do not take your pet to this store. I have even stopped shopping at any PetSmart because this is so horrible. read more

i had went to petsmart to get things my pets needed,there was a man with dogs in cages stated he was from a rescue center i went to greet alittle red dog the animal looked very sick would not move when he was touched . i then confronted the man and ask if the dog was sick he said the dog was in the heat and was tired.the conditions were horrible he did not seem to care about this animal what so ever i spoke to the mananger and shared my concerns and told her i believe this dog was very sick.i love animals and the conditions these animals were in is terrible!!i plan on following up with the store manager tomorrow and finding out what agency is adopting these animals out. read more

On a busy Saturday afternoon the manager was nowhere to be found, one checkout lane was open (with a line halfway through the store) when a second lane finally opened the clerk struggled to make a transaction .. I've just returned from a wonderful visit to the groomers' at this PetSmart, and given some of the negative reviews they've received, thought I would present an opposing view. I took my recently-adopted standard poodle here, after trying my best (and largely failing) at home-grooming. My dog is nervous, and one of my fears about taking her to a professional groomer was that she would completely panic, and end up hurting herself or needing firmer handling than I was ready for her to have. I decided to take her for a nail grinding and foot trim, since my efforts at doing these myself were nothing short of comical. The groomer we had, Brandi, was so wonderful! She took time to correct some of my "handiwork", and she did the feet and nails with utmost kindness and gentleness. I peeked through the window occasionally, and couldn't believe how well Molly and Brandi were doing together. Brandi surely has a magic touch, and we will be returning for a full groom one day soon. I may not retire my clippers completely, but there will be no more ridiculous wrestling matches over feet and nails. read more

Check your prices on the screen before you check out! That's my BEST advice for shopping at this Posner Blvd location of PetSmart. On my first visit there, i bought a bully stick among other things for my dog. I didn't observe the check-out very well, but when i got home I looked at my receipt and noticed that I had been overcharged by $1.00 on the bully stick (wait it gets worse). On my next visit a few weeks later, it wasn't till I looked at my receipt at home that I noticed I had been overcharged for another dog chew by $1.00. I don't live far from PetSmart, so I decided to hold on to the receipt and stop by the store a day or so later. I did go back, found a manager, pointed out the error and got my $1.00 refund. It wasn't the money, it was the principle. The manager said that the white sale sticker had expired and they had failed to remove it. Once again, a few more weeks passed by, but I generally go there to buy the bully sticks and TrueChews for my dog. On my next three visits, I kid you not, the SAME THING happened. Except on these 3 visits, I carefully observed the prices on the check-out screen. Tonight, Sept 11, 2015 was the FIFTH time products I was attempting to buy at PetSmart were PRICED higher at the register, than what it said on the shelf. Tonight, once again i was buying TrueChews and a Bully Stick. Ironically, a young lady who worked there asked me if she could help me. i said no, but asked her, as we were standing in front of the TrueChews, if/when they would be going on sale. I also menitoned that they had been moved to a new location on the bone/bully stick isle. She said they in fact, had been moved. I thanked her. I was buying a large bag of True Chews and a large bag of this new Chicken Jerky which was sitting all lined up right next to the TrueChews. The tag on the Chicken Jerky (don't recall brand, new in a white bag with clear window) was $15.99. The TrueChews price was $13.99. When I got to the register, I was stunned to see that the Chicken Jerky was rung up for $19.99!!! I could not believe it. I told the cashier the price was wrong. I walked over to the aisle to verify the price and told him it was in fact $15.99. He went to look and came back to the register to tell me that the UPC code on the Chicken Jerky did not match the sale tag on the bin and that he couldn't give them to me for $15.99! There wasn't just one of these in the bin, there were 3 or 4 and right next to the TrueChews. So it wasn't like i picked up a single bag someone else had left in the wrong place. i said "just cancel that item then". So I looked up at the screen again to then discover that the TrueChews were incorrectly priced as well at $15.99!! This is a crock of crap because I buy this bag of TrueChews a lot and I have never paid over $12.99 for it. He went back to the shelf, came back and changed the price to $13.99 which is what it said on the shelf. I told him that this happens EVERY SINGLE TIME I come to this store. Of course he was apologetic, but what he didn't recall is that this was not the first time that he (name withheld) was the same cashier that helped me the last time with the same exact overpriced problem. Unbelieveable!! The same exact problem on 5 SEPARATE VISITS!!! SO, I don't know what the problem is with this store, but can you imagine how many people have been overcharged and just didn't notice it? Either they are doing this on purpose or the management is completely incompetent. I am TIRED OF IT and that is why I am writing this review. I am also going to contact their corporate office. We took our dog in for the complete grooming package. This includes Anal gland cleaning, Ear cleaning, hair removal & flushing (if needed), as part of the nail trim and scented bath. After getting home we found out things on the included list were not actually included. We called and when they figured out we were complaining they placed us on hold. Over 17 min, I had people pick up 5 times, including a guy who said he does not understand why they wont talk to me, he already told the manager I was on hold for them. After 17 min we finally got someone who took us off hold. We were informed yes these things are automatically included ONLY if you mention it to them. If you don't specifically ask for it, even thought its listed as automatically included, they don't do it especially on bigger dogs. I told her no where on the site does it mention you have to ask for ask for bigger dogs. It says on the site it is included in the PAID price. Her response was well that's the way it is. I stated again, you advertise that is not the case and since it is offered as part of the service that is PAID for and we already paid for it we were on our way back with the dog so they could finish the job. She said fine and hung up on me. By the way, the picture on the web site shows a big dog, and states anal glands and ear cleaning as part of the package being presented with the big dog. Nowhere does it say you have to ask again, or based on dog size. I think I'll go elsewhere next time. read more

I have had my two dogs groomed at this pet smart grooming since the beginning but have to say will not be back. The hair was cut like it was cut with a plastic scissors all uneven with clumps sticking out all over. I also have a note on his file to say careful with his ears as they are sensitive and have had a problem with ear infections on the little puppy. A week later true to form he gets an ear infection and 4 weeks later is still being treated. The vet tells us it's from his ears not being dried correctly Never going back read more

Once again, I was charged the wrong price at PetSmart on Posner Blvd in Davenport, FL. This happens EVERYTIME I check out. SIX times in a row, I kid you not. Today, 10/26/15, it was once again the True Chews for dogs. The shelf said $13.99, but when I got to the register it was $14.99. It's been like this for the last year. Every-single-time. I called the manager who assured me it would be fixed, yada yada yada. I called PetSmart Corporate office in Phoenix, AZ and explained this story.
