Sara is the worst groomer ever! Petsmart keeps deleting my reviews on her! Sara left my dog covered in urine and took over seven hours to groom my dog ! Then at pickup proceeded to state how awful he was and he was one of the worst "doodles" she's ever groomed! Clearly the girl has zero experience with grooming and lack of knowledge! We went in for help with our goldfish with my 3 and 6 year old and the lady told me everything I was doing was wrong and was not helpful. Did not give me ways to remedy the problem but made me feel completely inadequate in front of my children who were looking forward to fish. When asking about other pets she just told me how hard it was to take care of other animals and telling me all about their commercial filtration system that they have for their fish. read more

When I dropped my pup off for grooming, I told the groomer what I wanted done. I wanted a "teddy bear" look which my dog always gets--it just needed trimming. There were tangles behind one of her ears and I asked the groomer to put detangler on that part and comb through it as her primary groomer in our home state does. My dog also had tangles on her muzzle and I asked for the same thing to be done in that area. As I said, our regular groomer always detangles. I picked up my dog, and I was stunned--she was scalped! Her muzzle was cut down and one side is significantly longer than the other! She had no "teddy bear" look--her hair was cut off. I didn't realize until I returned home that the groomer cut out the tangle behind my dog's long ear. It's going to take a long time for it to grow back. What it comes down to is that this groomer did not want to take the time to do a good job--the grooming salon was not busy and I know why now. I do not recommend this particular PetSmart located in Delavan. The PetSmart that I go to in my home state does an excellent job. If the Delavan PetSmart doesn't strive to be professional, take pride in their work and please the customer, they might as well close their grooming salon. read more

The WORST Petsmart grooming manager, Emily Larson, I've EVER dealt with... I have 3 dogs set for grooming today and EVERY month at this store. One of my dogs has a slight tear, but the doctor told me to see how she's doing in a month and then decide our next steps. Larson said, NO, as it is the store policy. So, WHY did she NOT take our dog, if there is NO pain or discomfort? I even would have signed a form, that it's ok. She then told me to take my other 2 dogs out of the store as well!!! Been going there for my dogs grooming for over a year. Emily always did a fantastic job. When she went on maternity leave, I tried to get an appointment for him to be groomed. They told me they would put me on a waitlist. It has been 3 months and no call. I find it hard to believe their wait list is that long. I have called several times and they do not return phone calls. Stopped to buy 2 fish for grandson's tank at the Delavan, WI Pet smart and had to go ask for help. They were all standing around talking. Was told they don't sell fish last hour before closing to come back tomarrow. Nope, won't be back to that store. There are other stores that sell fish until they close. My mothers dog was brought there for grooming March of 2022. They had the phone number, email, address and all information of contact. They stated when bringing the dog in to get hair cut again year later that we needed to pay for it for todays visit and year ago. No proof or summary of billing information from year ago, as they say we left without paying when that's lie. So they want the consumer to then go through their bank information to prove the payment was made, in which you can't just leave when taking the dog to its hair cut without paying and if debit card declined (in which it didn't though) you'd have to pay an alternate way. They've no proof of anything but refused to hand over our puppy without payment of this alleged service a year ago. The lady was rude and laughing and snickering to us as we were talking with them. Very unprofessional and unethical. You had all forms of contact and if this was allegedly done wouldn't reach out. Then you wait til you've trimmed the dogs hair to convey you will not give our dog unless we pay for a service that was payed for. Never again haha, never. And we'll be back for our refund for the money you just tried to scam cuz although it's hassle to dig for it, records are kept on the dog and will be shown how disgusting this company and business is. Can send emails for advertisement, and when the dog is done from service but years time nothing was said of invoice unfulfilled. I bought a ball python from them and he is infested with parasites they want me to return him just to rebuy him for $50 what's the point In that they should have there animals inspected before they are sold highly recommend you do not buy any animals from Petsmart and we purchased bedding it had maggots in it We had to throw a 14$ bag of bedding away because of it so good job PetSmart read more

Took my lab here - second visit. First was ok. Paid for full grooming - bathing, furminator, bath, nails clipped, ears cleaned. Dog looked good, done in just over an hour but the dog had hairs flying off him in the car on the way home which has never happened before immediately after grooming. Took him home and got a LOT of hair off with the normal grooming brush I use at home. It usually takes 1-1/2 hours of more for this dog to be groomed -- I really dont think we got our $62 worth. Think he will go elsewhere next time. read more

I would not recommend PetSmart Delavan groomers. On two separate occasions I have taken my dog to be groomed. Both occasions were Sundays because I work out of town. Incidentally on both occasions I walked in to groomers on their cell phones and dirty hairy mats at their stations. Examples: First time -my dog got a distemper vaccination the day prior. They would not groom her because it was too risky. Even surgeons do not require a person be 48 hours free of immunization prior to surgery but if it's your dog it is too risky. Next visit- I set up giving the benefit of the doubt. My dog had some teeth removed weeks prior but still had a dissolvable stitch left in her mouth. She could not be groomed because she might be nicked . In her mouth.? We had seen the vet the day prior and their were no concerns. This place has more reasons to not cut hair than to cut hair. My dog Will not be back and I will not recommend to anyone. Btw. I have never written a review before but this was so poor that people should know the environment! read more

I've taken my dogs ( a husky and a Bearnaise mountain dog) here a few times but today took the cake. I recently adopted a dog and took him up there and Megan took care of him and did an awesome job with him. I was real nervous about taking him in because I had only had him a few weeks. I explained everything to Megan and he turned out fine and he looks great. I will continue to take my dogs here, these girls are caring and patient. Thanks for doing a wonderful job. I havent been happy with Petsmart grooming for some time now. They called me and stated our dog had not been in for 2 months. I said ok, lets book an appointment. I took her in today and for whatever reason our dog was extremely nervous and shaking. This is not her normal behavior and she is getting old (15 soon) so maybe it was the noises making her nervous. Been here numerous time over the past years so I wasnt really concerned. I receive a phone call stating her had peed in the kennel and throw up. Hum, our dog NEVER throws up. She does lick her lips since shes had most of her teeth removed but throw up, no. I return to the store and picked her up. On our way home she sat in my lap, licked my arm and hand. All normal behaviors. At home, her routine is normal to include palying with her favorate toy !! I had reservations about this grooming service, and now surely will NOT take her back there. read more

First time I used Pet Smart grooming services and I was delighted with Hannah and the excellent services and the beautiful results. I have an English Springer Spaniel and a Golden Retriever and they both were well groomed and smelled great. Hannah was very sweet and took great care of the dogs - they had Christmas bows and scarf (that I usually don't like) and they looked adorable. I took my 1 year old pear breed shih tzu I take her about ones a month brush her every time after she goes outside and plays I took her to petsmart in Delavan wi for a trimming bath the works about a hour I had got a call from a woman who was cutting my dogs hair she had informed me she had nicked my dog an did not know what she should do when I got there my dog had a dash in her groin this woman gave me the option to take her home by the way her teeth just filthy hickeys on her neck I rushed my dog to janesville pet hospital 2 staples a shot later we are home but she still can't play an barley walk it's been 6 days read more

Unfortunately I will never take my dogs here again to get a bath/groomed... I took my chocolate lab here once and when I picked him up he was still WET from his bath.... I figured maybe they were really busy and I decided to take him again hoping they would do a much better job. To my dismay, he was once again still wet and he smelled awful! I take all of our Labs (and we have several) here for grooming. They do an absolutely amazing job, every single time, and they really seem like they enjoy working with my pets. I appreciate the fact the they look over my dogs first and make recommendations as far as the services, because we usually end up slightly tweaking what I originally planned to have done for something that better suits their coat, nails, teeth, etc. on that day. Several times, they have tossed in free upgrades, which is really, really appreciated! I take my dogs there to "shop" almost every weekend and a lot of times the grooming ladies will see one of my dogs and recognize us and stop to say hello. That's pretty impressive for a "big box" store that does the volume they probably do. I have nothing but good things to say about our pets' experiences here and will continue to have them groomed here indefinitely. read more
