I just spoke on the phone to Cedar Dale Pet Resort regarding my concerns over being over charged…read morefor my dogs boarding and grooming. They are making false claims. The woman on the phone said they have a note in their system that they told me the grooming prices vary and gave me cost estimates. This is untrue. They never spoke to me. If they had given me those prices ($600 for grooming) I would not have approved those charges. In fact they never spoke to me on the phone. All communication was done in writing via email. I have also attached the invoice I was given as an estimate and the grooming is listed as $0 - she said I should have known it wasn't free. And went on to try and shame me saying they don't work for free. That $200/ dog is normal for big dogs. Every other time we have boarded our dogs at other facilities they have either included a bath/groom for free or charged a small free, under $60 a dog. The only reason we did not use our normal boarding facility was they were closed for renovations the week we were going to be gone. Cedar Dale Pet Resort apparently feels that charging 50% more than the original written quote without getting authorization is acceptable. Please do not ever use Cedar Dale Pet Resort, they do not honor their price estimates and do not ask permission before performing services that can exceed $500-600.

They are fast, they are reasonably priced, but most importantly, they treat Daisy with respect and are so gentle with her. I can't and won't take her anywhere else every again. They take the CUTEST photos after she's is done! They always have some cute backdrop for the dogs and always give her an adorable scarf, bow, and sometimes both! They have done a remarkable job of upgrading the business and it shows. It is not easy working with dogs, who like people, have different personalities and behavioral reactions. The staff really take the time to know the animals and the owners. They do all of my grooming (I have rescue huskies) and are still cheerful even when my dog(s) have displayed less than ideal attitudes and behaviors. In addition, they carry an extensive line of Fromm products, which is the only type of dog food I have used since 1993.

When I mention where we are going he is thrilled, and when he get's home he is so tired from playing, he sleeps all night. The staff is super friendly! He also gets his hair cut and washed every few months, and with our rare breed, they do a fabulous job! At "Fur the Love of Dogs", the dogs are played with all day. They have so many activities for the dogs. They have lots of space with agility, toys, a pool... He plays sports, made some art, got a massage, did a fashion show, got pictures with santa and even went to prom! At times he gets a report card telling us who he played with, what he did... We will be moving soon and have a fear that we wont find a place like this one. We have been to several doggy day cares and FTLOD is by far the best! They truly love what they do, it shows on our dogs face each time we bring him and each time we pick him up. We will miss Fur the Love of Dogs, but every time we come back to visit we will for sure bring him in to see the staff and his friends and play.

The day care has been the best investment for my dog to be properly socialized with new people and dogs of all sizes. This has kept him in check when we have company at home. He has not become too protective or dominate over anyone in the house and I credit Fur the Love of Dogs atmosphere for that. Their overnight options are also wonderful and my Rhodesian Ridgeback has been more than happy to come back for stays in the slumber party room with an employees attention on him all night. (They stay in the room with the pets) that is unless you book the private bed and breakfast suites. I give them five stars all around! Thank you for everything you do at Fur the Love of Dogs. The hair began to grow...and grow...and after being attacked by two other dogs...and us not being able to trim him because of his injuries...his fur turned into dreads and we couldn't tell where his fur ended and he began. We tried to trim him up ourselves but we didn't make much progress. Lack of technique and his biting forced us to hire a professional. We found someone who would take him despite his need to bite the hand that shaved him. We asked to have him completely shaved down...and that's what we got.
