    About 6 Guinea pigs in top tank with not nearly enough hay which is 90% of their diet

    Went to purchase items for Guinea pigs and cat and noticed the Guinea tank had 6 piggies in it and one tiny hay ball. I asked if they could please give the guinea pigs more hay and the manager with short curly hair and facial piercings whose name is Jess (I believe) told me rudely they feed them every hour. I explained they need way more hay and she started arguing with me instead of feeding the living animals the store sells. She at first refused to add more and I said I am going to take a pic and report the store for animal cruelty.

    the parakeets for adoption from Boston ARL

    We visited the adoption center for a parakeet. There is a collaboration between PetSmart and Boston animal rescue league (ARL), and all the parakeets seem to be housed in PetSmart (either Everett or Cambridge) currently. The adoption process has been quite different than for a pet housed in the shelter of Boston ARL: one need to first fill out an application form, obtain an approval from Boston ARL, sign the adoption contract, pay over the phone, and then take the animal. Since we didn't fill out the application form in advance, there were multiple phone calls/emails back-and-forth to get the paperwork done. Andrea, the staff in PetSmart, helped us for the adoption. She promptly faxed our application form, and took initiatives to communicate with Boston ARL to get our application approved, showed great empathy during the entire process. Overall, the store is pretty nice. The fish tanks and cages of other live animals (birds, reptiles, small mammals etc.) look quite clean and well-maintained, also the staff is friendly.

    Hi guys! It's Daisy again! My mom had a quick meeting at Panera nearby, so my dad and I went into PetSmart while we waited for her. I was allowed to get a new toy, so I got a pizza! I love this pizza. My dad said it was super cheap ($2), and I haven't killed the squeaker yet. I have killed squeakers on advertised more durable toys, but not this guy. Plus, I guess I look super silly running around with a pizza in my mouth. Sometimes I get my nails trimmed here as well (as well as the Cambridge location). They always do a good job, and I am a dog that doesn't like strangers or getting my nails cut. I think this might be where my mom bought my Shark costume. I hated it. I hope she learned for this year. Woof!

She took the time to work with him at his pace, building trust with so much patience and kindness. Now he's genuinely excited to see her and is so much more comfortable with the entire grooming process. What really stands out is how much she truly cares. She goes beyond just grooming--she shares helpful recommendations for products, gives us tips on how to keep him comfortable at home, and even flags things like skin concerns early so we can stay on top of them. On top of that, she's always punctual, super responsive, and just a genuinely warm and funny person. We feel so lucky to have found her and would recommend her to everyone.

    Came to four paws in hopes of finding a new groomer I can stick to in this area. I had really high…read morehopes. I didn't love the first hair cut they gave my dog but rescheduled for another one 6 weeks in advanced since I saw them do good work on others. I scheduled far in advanced and even gave a hefty tip so that they knew I was serious about working with them long term. Fast forward, I was on my way to my appointment when I came across some traffic and called to let them know I'd be a couple minutes late. They told me they couldn't take me past 15 mins. I showed up at the mark and they turned me down at the door. I was disappointed because i called out of courtesy and it made me wonder, if I hadn't called would I have been accepted? It was also 9am so i was one of the first clients of the day. I understand the policy and should've followed the time better, but the way they spoke over the phone and turned me down in person felt so degrading. I wish they could've been more understanding and worked with me to find something that fit for everyone without having an attitude or treating me less than. I suspect that once they've reached a good amount of clients, they don't care to keep others who may be interested. I won't be returning to this location due to the costumer service. In addition, they keep all the dogs loos in one small area regardless of size. When I picked up my dog for the first time I got a ton of hair on me.

I provided them with $40 expecting my change back they wouldn't provide change and kept the full amount. On the day of the appointment, we got lost trying to find the location and kept them updated about the situation. Instead of being understanding, they told us she only had a 15-minute window. We communicated that we wasn't sure we could make it in time since we are currently lost & our Dog had started vomiting . I asked the the person assisting me On the phone was there anyway to reschedule it and they said a new deposit was required even tho they kept the difference of the money from the deposit that they never gave back. Despite the communication, they kept the deposit and said a manager would reach out. Instead of a call, later received a letter stating they would no longer provide services. The lack of flexibility, poor communication, and unprofessional handling of the situation were very disappointing. I would not recommend this business based on this experience
