The whole experience from beginning to end was terrible and that was only to get the information for a revisit for grooming services. Took our 11lb pomsky there for grooming, an hour later they called for us to pick him up because they "couldn't" continue service on him. He's completely people friendly. I would understand maybe if he was a vicious dog, but he is definitely not, just a little hyper and excited around people. They told us they wouldn't do service with him again, keep in mind all they did was brush his fur. When we do it , it's difficult but not impossible. It's they're job to groom these animals, unless if they're vicious and bite of course. Took my furry 2yr old golden doodle there for the first time for a fill grooming ,cut and all. I was satisfied with everything with the exception of the cut was too low and watching my dogs dangling balls so clear is not cool,lol! Customer service was awesome. This Petsmart is about on par with other Petsmart's. The store is quite large and has a Banfield Pet Hospital inside. The parking lot is massive so there is always parking. Pets are of course allowed in the store. The customer service is okay. No one approached me to ask if I needed help and I didn't want to bother the person I saw taking care of the reptiles. They have quite a few brands in here and a good variety for many types of pets. They also have pets available for adoption. My only reasons for knocking off a few stars are that it feels really dark inside and they don't carry Halo which is a big pet food brand. When I asked the cashier about it he had no idea what I was talking about but asked a couple times about donating. They do however carry blue buffalo and they accept coupons. Overall, this store is fine if you don't want to run to Mandarin to go to Petco. read more

Kai and Hailey groom my dog Luca Bean. Luca is a 1 yr old pit bull mix he has a little anxiety but is the best boy. He's shy around strangers but will listen with some love and treats. Pit bulls gets a bad rep and most won't work with him cause he's shy but Kai and Hailey are so patient with him and always listen to my concerns and answers any questions I may have. Kai and Hailey didn't worry not one bit and started right away. And always gives me a full report of his appt on a "pawgress report" it's probably one of my fav things that they do. Luca even gave Kai kisses which is very rare for Luca to do with anyone but me and my husband. Luca is def getting more and more comfortable with them with each appt! read more

I don't recommend anyone going to the Lake City location. I've had my 6 month old puppy to the groomers 3 times, fully groomed once, and they said they couldn't groom him at Petsmart in Lake City because, he didn't like the loud noise. DO NOT GO TO PETSMART!!! Unless you just need to pick up last minute dog food, save your time and money. We just purchased a puppy pit bull and signed up for the "insurance" program with Bandsfield. Unfortunately, he passed away a WEEK later, five days later to be exact. They still made us pay the cancellation fee (around $300) to discontinue the service. We literally had the insurance for less than a week. No compassion whatsoever. Fast forward, we rescued another dog and brought him there for grooming. He's a big puppy and still has training to attend and didn't like the noises from the dryer so they told us they couldn't dry him off or clip his nails. Understood. Not only did they ban him from not coming back, but they still charged us FULL price for a full grooming. So, $30 to wash him off. We will NEVER go back for anything again. read more

I never knew PetSmart offered grooming. I knew they offer vet care and training. I was in the market for a fish tank and it was perfect timing because they were running an aquarium sale. The selection here is wide and price very competitively although they were out of stock on a lot of things. The fish was also not separated very well but I was able to find what I wanted and received help relatively quick. They also have a rewards program but more importantly you can track your purchases or have a digital copy of your receipt. read more

Took my dog to be groomed here a while back and she was absolutely TERRIFIED of it. They had to drag her in there. I don't know what they do behind closed doors but petsmart in general is known for abusing their animals in the groomers. Beware. Go somewhere reputable. I love Petsmart. My dog loves Petsmart. My dog is very well known there. His name is Zeus. He is pit bull. I've never used the grooming. So I cannot say about them. I use the vet clinic inside Petsmart. They are very kind to him. He is a 75lbs chicken at the vet. They try very hard not to stress him out. While outside the vet clinic my dog loves every one. He loves all the staff in PetSmart. He was trained there. His trainer is rose. She did a awsome job with him. He is hard headed. I was sure he would fail. But he didn't. :) everyone always greets Zeus. He loves the attention. Price wise they ate decent. I really don't go anywhere else because there close. I also have a guiena pig. And a leopard gecko. And fish. Every question I had they were very knowledgeable and gave me good advice when I needed it. read more

Grooming Salon is excellent. Laci Beane has been our groomer for years, and recently moved to the New location on San Jose blvd. of course we followed her. Both salons are extremely capable and professional. We are about to move to Destin, and I really hate to leave Laci! She treats my dog with much love and patience. He doesn't always love the grooming process, and she has worked hard to establish his trust. She is even going to help us with the new groomer at Petsmart in Destin. There ar bad groomers around, just like ANY profession. I would not go anywhere but Petsmart. read more

A vast majority of your story is true, at least the basics are, but I find it hilarious you left out your attitude from the word go with them. BTW when you are is customer service yourself, as I know you are because I have seen you at your job, you may want to treat people with a little dignity and give them a chance to make it right. Please don't waste your money or time on this place!!! I went today to buy a replacement crate tray fir my dog crate. They had the item in the wrong slot and told me they were charging me the higher price! I advised the Mgr. Cheryl of this ans she told me I was going to pay the higher price! She also agreed everything was in the wrong areas of the shelf. I asked her if I was going to buy it for the lower price difference of $7.00 and said nope! I bought it and left to continue shopping elsewhere. I was able to fine the same item at Petco for $20.00 less for the same item! I ended up bring Petco's tray back and they were niot happy! We took dog training classes here and was very surprised how much we learned. The staff is very helpful and they are not hard to find like some big box stores. this is a great place and the company stands behind their commitment to provide funds and support for animal organizations in need; it doesn't just line some fat man's pocket, it actually goes to the charity. I have a rescue terrier, Windsor who doesn't always have the best disposition and now that he has cataracts and can't hear well, he can be a little persnickety! He's been groomed there for the last 5 years and they are so good with him...they are patient and don't rush. if he's 'not in the mood' they don't' push it and traumatize him and respect his wish to not be handled. He always comes out happy, smelling good and looking fine! I know those groomers don't make the big bucks, so I always tip for great service and CONSISTENT good service.
