My dog has been getting groomed at PetSmart for years. After scheduling my appointment and bringing her in, they refused to groom her because she was hesitant going in. She has acted the same way the several times she has been in the building and we have never been turned away or had any issues. She did not growl, bark, or try to bite. Just hesitant going in. My two dogs had their annual exam and annual shots at PetSmart in Palm Coast FL six months ago when I was new to the area. It was time for just the Bordatella vaccination again six months later, so I returned there for it. For 2 dogs, the bill was nearly $170, which included a very hefty office visit fee of over half the amount. Truly excessive, and I will never go back. read more

With all the companies scrambling for business, not letting a customer in on a cold or hot day to purchase pet food, w/in a few minutes before you officially open, is a costly mistake to make. Target is 2mins away in the same mall; Walmart, 14mins. Disappointing. Staff greet customers with a "welcome in", but rarely smile at this PetSmart; the St. Aug store feels friendlier. I used to drive 17mins out of my way to shop here, but that changes, as of today. I'll buy online or elsewhere. Ample parking. read more

Brought my pup here for the first time today. When I was greeted and answering questions, the woman was not very personable. When she did the hands on test to see if there was any matting, she said he was fine. She tested his ears and even asked what I used because there were no mats. When I came to get him, they had chopped off all his ear hair. The girl said she did what she could to not have to shave the ears completely. She said they were matted bad. I comb my dogs hair at least once a week paying special attention to his ears because they tangle easily. I know he wasn't matted. And the woman who checked him in said he wasn't matted. On top of this, he was very flinchy when I got him home. When I took him on a walk, he flinched away from me like I was going to kick him. Then again when we were playing he acted like I was going to hit him. He never acts like this. Safe to say I'm not going back to this location. They can keep their week out appointments. read more

This is for Banfield. This particular Banfield is not what I'd call customer friendly. Rarely do they greet you when you go to the check in desk. Actually seems as though they try to avoid making eye contact therefore, no good morning, I'll be right with you. No acknowledgement at all. Doctors are fine but their front desk made me change to the Saint Augustine Banfield. The front desk SHOULD set the tone for your visit. Oh yeah they do but in the wrong way. I do not recommend the Palm Coast Banfield. They need to teach the front desk that we the customers pay their salaries and without us they don't have a job. read more

I have used this grooming service for 3 years and up until today was very pleased. They had always followed my instructions to not cut my dog short because of all her old lady skin tags. Today however Sierra butchered my 15 yr old Cavalier, nicking multiple skin tags causing her to bleed all over her body. Not only that but she didn't even smell like she'd been bathed!!! I have to say, Amber A. isn't wrong on this one. I absolutely regret taking my sweet, beloved pooch & family member to this horrible store to be groomed. Why? Oh, I'll tell you why. I brushed him before I brought him in. Checking in, they asked me what I wanted. I said "well, a summer cut, but no shave"; the lady at the front desk who looked him over & felt him said that there was some mats, but he should be fine. & very stupidly, I believed her. When I went back to pick him up, oh my God, I couldn't believe it. His entire fur from his chest, back, stomach, & ears, practically almost all gone. All they spared was the tail. It took my pooch 2-3 months after that to get his fur fully grown back (his ears took the longest). I left in tears on the way to my car. I hugged him & told him how sorry I was & promised to never do it again. Oh. Did I mention they shaved him twice? Twice! I'm being completely honest here. I barely recognized him anymore. He looked like a shaved rat. I even felt horrible & ashamed of myself during our walks for allowing this to happen; my neighbors asked me what happened to his beautiful fur. He wasn't happy; he was so scared. Shame on you guys. You should've called me the second you decided "oh, hey, yeah, let's shave him completely". You explained that he had a lot of matting 'cause of his harness & that's why you had to shave him because brushing it out would be painful, but come on. At least call me & tell me what's going on so that I could get him out of there. I'm so glad that Idk where the shaved photos are, otherwise I would've uploaded them on here so that you could see what a horrible job you did. Shame on you. Shame. Everyone reading this, seriously, if your pet has a lot of mats, never, ever take them here. I'm definitely not coming back to the grooming area & to the store ever again. For me a pet store is more about looking at the pets and possibly picking up so food for the dogs. I have never seen any one from any store carry things to a person's car other than Publix. The staff I ran into seamed fine and asked if I needed anything when I looked lost. Overall a fine Petsmart but I will likely go to the one near me just for convenience. read more

The sales rep recommended a cheaper item over an expensive item telling me it was the best for combing out the excess hair out of my cat. Really great groomers who took care of my two little dogs. Getting their nails done, one doesn't need an appointment. The following is a general opinion I've formed over the years, but is more descriptive of what I've noticed in the last year. I've never found the employees at this store pro active enough when customers are browsing. Generally, there's one person at the checkout and others are rarely in sight, and have a tendency to vanish around corners if they sense they're being tracked down for help. Just an impression. The specific reason why I'm giving this store a 1 star rating right now is something else. I needed to exchange a product I bought there. I could not find the receipt. I called and spoke with someone who identified herself as "Mia". She said, " No problem, just ask for me, and I'll take care of it." When I got there, no one by that name even worked at the store according to the manager. The manager refused to exchange the product, citing "policy", the deception from one of her employees notwithstanding. I'll have to make the switch over to internet based purchases, but since their prices are way lower than Petsmart's, I've been done a favor. read more

Always clean store. Groomers are very nice but I have a tricky dog to cut and we had to make sure they keep his cut true to breed. Last cut triggered a skin infection out dog hadn't had in over 2 years. Not sure if they would do anything to remedy. I just took him to the vet. read more

We are regular customers of our Pet Smart of NE Florida. I called store 0343 - Pembroke Pines Florida north Miami suburb - at 12:37pm this date 10th December 2018 in order to gather information for ordering pet training for my granddaughter(s) who have just taken in a puppy. After listening to the long computer to find #4 for puppy training, A male answered the phone "Pet Smart, how can I help you". As I began explaining my need there was "elevator music". The inconsiderate SOB put me on hold without a 'by your leave'. Calling back resulted in no one answering. Clicking "O" for operator did nothing. Took my two small dogs for grooming. Annie did a wonderful job, they smell amazing and look beautiful. The facility is clean and well maintained. You can even watch the hair cutting portion of the groom in the large windows. Will be back for their grooming in the future. read more

Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting. I took my german shepherd puppy into the vet for some diarrhea she's been having over the past week. In the vets room my mother said to the vet tech " she just keeps shitting" ( about my dog.)The tech laughed and my mother said " I'm sorry for swearing it's just been a long day." The tech laughs and says " oh it's totally fine we get a lot of different names for that here," pets my dog and laughs. She leaves the room, and comes back saying " Is it okay if we test her for parvo?" (a virus disease.) To which we responded," We don't wanna pay for a test when the vet hasn't even checked her yet. The test is most likely unnecessary." The woman says okay, and says she'll tell the vet. The vet, Dr. Seiler, comes in and says, " First off, do not swear and yell at my tech. Lets keep it professional." This is a false accusation. Then he says she needs a test and, if positive, he wouldn't be able to see other pets that day. This is also false. He was very rude, condescending, and money greedy. DO NOT go here, more specifically, DO NOT see Dr. Seiler. read more

I took my dog in to get his grooming done. Christine takes such good care of him. When I checked him in I told her last time I was there they made a big deal about giving me the military discount. She said oh that is now offered on Tuesday's and with grooming services only along with senior discount the same day. I said wow really unfortunately my husband doesn't just serve his country on Tuesday and I think that for a company to allow that discount on certain days to service members and veterans shows a lack of respect for their service. Then I go to the front check out to pay for my dogs grooming and a older gentleman with quite a bit of merchandise asked for the military discount and the rep said on Tuesday's and only on grooming but thank you for your service. For someone who has fought for us to be able to shop anywhere and be free I think that is so such a slap in the face. Serving your country and not being given the respect that is due is terrible. Service members come back with life long effects from war and being in unfamiliar territory and this is how we appreciate them? Shame on us. So disrespectful!! read more

Very horrible, they keep their bettas in dirty water, just went their today to return a dead fish I got yesterday and saw they kept their dragonscale crowntail bettas in dirty cups that had black gunk at the bottom and very sick fish as well. They don't care if they have dead bettas of not, this really disgusts me how they treat their bettas. read more

Scheduled a grooming appointment for my dog at 6:00pm and I arrived at 5:30pm only to be told that my appointment I booked only for a " premium grooming appointment" was made with Jessica but that she is not qualified to perform the service. I asked why she was listed and the response was that the online system was having problems. Instead of offering another groomer, I was told to reschedule and they couldn't do anything else. This is the second time I've had to reschedule an appointment with them due to an issue they could have of informed me of prior to appointment. Groomer/manager unyielding in their decision not to groom my dog because I gave him his prescription allergy medicine. Although they are NOT veterinarians, they decided to refuse cut my dog's hair without consulting my dog's doctor and although they did not warn me not to give the medication to him prior to grooming. I believe they should have called/walked 50 feet to ask a real doctor if it was a problem; they didn't. Now we must go on our out of state trip to relatives without a groomed pet. Not a huge deal, but definitely frustrating especially when they were mouthing off as I voiced my frustration to them (last word freaks). Needless to say, we won't be back there... read more
