Took my dog in today to get groomed. First time using this service. I asked her nails to NOT be trimmed. Her nails were trimmed and now she's bleeding. I'm disappointed after talking to the manager and Robin who did the grooming. Robin was defensive and told me she couldn't have done that! Manager seemed to not care.. because I heard no apology to sympathy from him. He implied it was my job to reiterate the request to the groomer when I came in for her appointment. Shame on this place. I'm very confused as to what was done to my dog at the groomer. I brought her in for a furminator bath because she was heavily shedding her winter coat. My dog has short hair. It's never matted and never hard to comb, yet when I received her back, for some reason they had shaved her private parts... what was the point of that? Her fur was not matted or difficult to comb in that area. In fact, i clean her bottom regularly just to make sure there is nothing stuck in that area. Given her short fur and the fact that i never requested for that area (or any area) to be shaved, I'm thoroughly confused as to why i received my dog back with a shaved vulva... very strange and disturbing and i won't be taking her back to this location ever again. I have never experienced this at any other petsmart. I will probably just take her to another company next time. She was supposed to get a free follow up brush-out this week but now I'm scared to bring her in... read more

Great groomers just be sure to tell them not to use pumpkin spice whatever it was on your dog when you take him there to get him clean. Nothing like a surprise on the way home after they have closed. read more

I had my shih Tzu groomed at this location today. I was charged an extra $10 they said because my dog was difficult. Funny thing is I have brought her there at least 6 times and for some reason never was difficult before. The extra special care they gave my little dog was not just in the grooming salon, a big dog came up behind me in The store and attacked my little shih tzu. The owner of the big dog just stood there like an idiot as his mean dog bit my dog. The employees did nothing to help or protect my dog. I am furious that my dog was attacked in that store. And on top of it all to be charged extra. I do NOT recommend this establishment at all. Your pets are not safe here. I would give a zero rating if it were possible. read more

I've been going with you guys for over 2 years and something like this has never happened. Last Thursday I took my dog for haircut, bath and nails, when my mom picked him up and arrived home, she immediately notices a rash all around his neck and it looks like he didn't got a bath. I don't know what happened, if you guys didn't bathe him or cleaned your supplies but clearly my baby is paying the consequences itching and scratching until he bleeds. The groomers are great at this location. I take my dog Ruby (Cockapoo) in for bath and shave. Diana gets the cut right and Ruby always looks so cute. They are now taking walk ins for toe nail trims. I highly recommend this store. read more

We just moved to the area and took our puppy, Molly, for grooming here. The first experience was wonderful. Destiny did a great job grooming our dog, and I immediately scheduled another appointment. When I arrived, I spoke with Destiny and complimented her on her work on Molly. I then had a horrible and upsetting experience with Diana. I wanted to pay for the service ahead of time, and had noticed the 20% off for new customers sign. I asked her if I might take advantage of it, and her response was disrespectful and beyond rude. "I don't know you....the is the first time I've seen you....." Of course, I went into back-up mode as she then gave me an attitude and then when I asked her if there was anything that could be done, she flat out said "No". The customer experience was awful. It upset my day, and then she went on to ignore me. I asked to speak with a manager, and she responded that she was the Grooming Manager. Finally, Sarah, the store manager came to talk to me and I explained the situation to her and how I felt completely disrespected by Diana's behavior and response to me. Diana made NO eye contact and then asked us to leave because our conversation was upsetting the one dog that was being groomed. Sarah and I went out and continued our conversation, and she was empathic and kind. She did a terrific job of calming me down. She even acknowledged the fact that Diana had a very rude reaction and could feel the tension. I will not being going back there because of Diana. An appropriate response could have been easy. Diana should have apologized and treated me as a valued customer vs. an adversary. It is too bad, because Destiny is a great groomer and Sarah is a good manager. I have worked in Learning and Development my whole career, and it is clear Diana needs some Customer Experience skills. read more

I called to schedule my puppy for a hair cut and all the other things needed. I spoke with Tiffany and she was extremely rude! She talked over me & would not let me talk/explain what I wanted. Tiffany said Diana only groomed my puppy 1x and that is not true, she groomed my puppy for many times. Then I was told Diana said she will not take me either. I understand if they are too busy but the unprofessional way they spoke was very mean! I will not go back to any Pet Smart now as if you are not kind to your clients, maybe you are not kind to the animals either. I was warned about Pet Smart in Sedona that this would eventually happen and should have listened! They are mean people! Beware of Tiffany and Diana! read more

I'm writing this review because Mandy helped us above and beyond when we went in to get our sick guinea pig some important items. She was very knowledgeable AND went out of her way to help us. It has been a long time since I have been treated so well by an employee in a chain store. Mandy deserves a raise or a promotion! My hubby & I went to the PetSmart in Sedona in pursuit of a water dispenser for our two dogs. Someone had put a more expensive one in front of the shelf tag, which showed a much lower price. When we went to check out, that's when it was evident to us, that that's what transpired. We asked to speak to a manager, & Sarah showed up. She agreed to walk with us to the shelf, so we could show her where we found the dispenser. They were out of the ones that the shelf tag was intended for. When I asked Sarah if she would honor the shelf tag, since they were out of the one we wanted, & thought the tag was for the one we saw, she unhesitatingly said yes. Sarah was so nice, friendly, professional & very accommodating. We feel blessed to have PetSmart in Sedona, & to have Sarah as one of the managers there. read more

Oh my goodness! This staff is amazing from start to finish! Everybody is incredibly kind and Sarah clearly knows what she's doing when she is hiring people! In the grooming department, Morgan is our girl! We have a Corgi and a Chihuahua. Anybody that knows corgis know that they shed in massive tufts! FURminator bath, brush, toenail trim, pad shaved, nails grinding. We do that for both of our girls without any need for haircuts. The girls come out feeling like 1 million bucks with big smiles on their faces! Everybody here is helpful and kind and friendly! Can't say enough about this place! read more

Pet Smart just finished the third of my girls in the Mongrel Horde-an Aussie, an Akita mix, and a Bossie (half Border Collie/half Aussie). They are true desert dogs and had the dirt, dust and matted fur to prove it. They got the works at Pet Smart because my son is getting married this weekend and there are many relatives and guest at the house. Brianna did a great job and I suspect had plenty of help from her colleagues. Great job here in Sedona. read more

I know that's Petsmart grooming has had a lot of bad rap lately. I have used the Petsmart grooming (Brittney) in Flagstaff AZ for years and been very pleased. I moved to Sedona AZ last year and have started using the local store here for grooming. My dog is young and healthy so he tolerated the conditions there without adverse effects. They had him for 5 hours(!) and obviously did not offer him water or a bathroom break while he was there. He immediately upon leaving the store had to pee a very long time (more than I have ever seen him go before) and when I offered him water he drank the entire bowl full. Never, even after a hike have I seen him drink like this. If I get a bad haircut I can work with the groomer to cut more to my liking, but being so inconsiderate of the animals in their care is not tolerable. I will be finding somewhere else to groom my dog read more

I don't live in the area so I went to Yelp to find a place to get my cockapoo groomed at a reasonable price. The term reasonable and Sedona aren't generally mentioned in the same sentence so I knew it would be a challenge. I called several places who were either had no openings or didn't return my call. So I called petsmart. They quoted me a somewhat reasonable price and could get me in the next day. The girl at the desk ended up dropping the price of what she quoted me AND gave me a $5 off coupon. They groomed my pup exactly how I wanted and finished in a timely fashion. I was very pleased with the whole experience! read more

Ivy is the best! Today was Alvin's 2nd time of grooming with Ivy. Alvin is a terrier mix, a rescue, and a little skittish. But Ivy always calms him right down, and he always looks great when I pick him up. Highly recommend this PetSmart grooming, and Ivy in particular! read more

I'm surprised there aren't any reviews for this store because I think they do a good job. We've taken the beginning's obedience class for our puppy and he just got his first pro bath. I wanted to commend the grooming department in this review. I asked for the nail grinding rather than cutting - no problem. I asked to bring my own shampoo - no problem. The two women on Friday were Pam and Geni. Geni handled our puppy and really made his experience excellent. a BIG shout out for that! I can tell the dogs are really adored here so I'll be back! read more

I brought my dog in for grooming at Petsmart Flagstaff with an appointment. Repeat customer. Rabies shots and vaccines all updated, (have documentation and tag, the current tag on my dog's collar). Three girls who appeared to be in their late teens are present. I was told to produce the rabies document and replied that I didn't have it, however its easily obtained, so I offered to drive home and get it, as I live only 5 minutes away. I said I'll be back within 10 minutes. The teen said NO, I'd have to reschedule. I politely asked her to take into account my dog is wearing the current tags, that we're a repeat customer on file and I'll be back literally in 10 minutes. No, she replied in robotic voice, you'll have to reschedule. Again asked politely if they would reconsider. I could email it to them in 5 minutes, if 10 minutes is too much to ask. They were snippy, short, irritated and I shared my disappointment, adding I would share my experience with others. One employee said: "You can do that if you want. Why don't you just leave?" I did. In my opinion, having managed retail operations, these employees sorely need re-training and reflect poorly on management and the brand. I do not recommend anyone take their pets here. There are truly professional groomers all over town. I have found one. read more
