I think this place checks out as mediocre for me. I've been twice recently. First time - order pick up (multiple orders), and it went ok. I decided to walk around and check out the toys and clothes for the season (it was around Halloween). I like that the store is bright and mostly clean, and usually an ok smell! The gentlemen that got my bags for me was great. Seemless experience that way. Today, 12/2 - We waited in line with a partial bag of RX food that I wanted to bring back for refund as it seems our dog didn't get along well with it (vomiting and regurgitation) which wasn't normal. The woman cashier was super direct, "we don't deal with RX food here, you have to go to a PetSmart with a Banfield hospital in it".... Ok. ....It's not like you're going to resell it there, so I sorta feel like you should be able to process a return with my receipt no matter of the details. I don't mind, if this ends up being closer to me at the time of need, then I'll go here - If Brentwood has what I need, I'd probably prefer that location, because it is closer. read more

Very nice young lady that was inexperienced ,seemingly by the way our dog looked when picked up. We were given a 10% discount but preferred professional grooming instead as she was supplied a picture from past grooming sessions from ex- groomer that worked there and she provided professional grooming and they don't seem to last very long. We also paid for express care because of animal anxiety so not as if we care about the expense we incurred. Can't seem to locate a great professional groomer if anyone knows of a mobile groomer in the Spring Hill area please follow up as money is not the issue. Thank you for listening. read more

In search of great dog food. Jack Russells are supposed to weigh between 16 to 20 pounds according to everything I've read. When my princess dog weighed in at 30 pounds I decided to change her food. There are so many choices here and many of them are healthy. The store was clean and smelled great which is difficult for a pet store. They must clean constantly. I'm not one to complain and obviously was not unkind or unpleasant when picking up my dog, but I will say I won't be going back to have her groomed. I have a Great Pyrenees with a double coat that works for insulating AND cooling her down naturally. I asked for a minimal trim and sanitary clipping but instead got a completely different dog back. I would assume as a groomer you keep in mind the breed and what their coat is doing for them but that did not happen today. Today I got an almost shaved Great Pyrenees and I'm pretty sure she got a poodle cut. read more

My dog gets groomed there during months where his shedding gets really bad. He gets groomed by Hannah I believe. He gets the furminator groom and is amazing. He looks like a brand new dog when he gets it done and we don't have to worry about shedding for a few weeks (for a German Shepherd a few weeks is a lot of time to not worry about shedding!) read more

This was our first time here . We moved from CA. I have two cattle/ german mixes 50 pounds . I took the dogs in for appointments at 8 am and picked they were done at 1pm. When I picked up one of them it amelled like poop. She had it all over her it was dried. Apparently she pooped in her kennel and laid in it for a long time as it was all over her nIls, stomach, paws, chin. I was like omg it smells and the groomer said, let me. Hdck her kennel. She took our dog to the back and had to re bathe her. I understand dogs poop but if youre keeping them there 5 hours you might want to check on them . They didnt give them water either. I took my 10 month old puppy here yesterday to get groomed and let me tell you it was the worst experience I've ever endured. I explained specifically what I wanted done to my golden doodle. I specified that I DO NOT want her shaved. I wanted a light trim and a clean up around her eyes/mouth. I dropped her off at 2 and she wasn't ready until 7 pm. I picked her up and asked where she was at and VICTORIA A. (The groomer) looked right at me and said she's right here. I fell to the floor hysterically crying because I didn't even recognize my own dog. Victoria completely scalped her and had absolutely no reason in doing so. My dog was so embarrassed walking out of there, she knew she felt different. She has a lush coat and now has nothing on her. These groomers especially Victoria have absolutely no idea what they are doing. She took it upon herself to shave down my dog with absolutely no permission. I would never trust my dog in the hands of these people. They cut off her wispy 2 inch eyelashes and when I asked Victoria why she possibly would do that. She responded to make everything blend???? Fur and eyelashes don't need to blend and that right there goes to show you they have no idea what they're doing. My dog has been hiding behind the couch and chairs because she's so embarrassed. It's sad when you trust someone with your dog and they tell you they will do exactly what you ask and they do the complete opposite. My experience was nothing short of mortifying. I now have the manager and corporate getting involved because of how evil Victoria A treated not only me but my dog. DO NOT TRUST YOUR DOG WITH THESE PEOPLE. Below is a before and after of her. OMG. I have just had the absolute worst experience with these completely inept and uncaring people. Their staff needs to take a lesson in how to deal with clients for one thing and they all need to get on the same page as far as what they tell customers. I have desperately been looking for a groomer to take our new dog, we just adopted a few days ago. We took her out of a really bad home. She is fully matted everywhere, panting from sweat because her hair is so long and she has likely only been groomed once in her life - she's so uncomfortable and so needs help. She's 8 months old. I finally tried PetSmart. I got someone one the phone, told this person the situation, let them know I had just taken her to the vet, what shots she had gotten that day and when she was born and they said all I'd need is proof of rabies (which I had) and they'd take her the next day so I made the appointment. I show up and this the manager tells me they can't take the dog because she had a flu shot the day before. Of course I told her that no one said anything like that on the phone, and they even made the appointment for me knowing about the flu shot! I asked her to check with her staff to see who spoke to me (I didn't remember the name) and of course she would not. My vet was willing to get on the phone with her to vouch for dog's good health and the chances of any reactions were slim to none, especially if there had not been any reactions for 24 hours, which there were not. This manager would not hear of that either. I begged her to make an exception based on the condition of the dog, her need, and the fact that her staff screwed up; not me. There was much more to the conversation I won't bore you with but my opinion is that these people do NOT care about the animals - just about the "CYA" factor, about checking a box and making a buck. Don't leave your precious babies with them. If they could look at this poor animal and turn her away even with seeing the need and weighing the very low of not non-existent risk, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. PetSmart is GREAT for products but the GROOMER IS A JOKE AND A DISGRACE. read more

This kid Nicholas who did the service apologized but they cost me another hour of my time. They don't have their act together. Use another groomer. read more

Simply put, my daughter and I went in to look at fish. Not honestly a super serious deal, but kinda looking. Anyways, the issue arose with the gold fish. There were several dead ones floating all over in the tank. Several more not dead but clearly about to. I'm not upset that they were dying or dead. They are goldfish. I get it. You can look at these weird and make them die. My issue is that no one had cleaned the dead ones out. 2 associates are there, but non are even paying attention to it. It has to do with presentation. Dead fish don't look good in a tank when customers are in the store. My immediate thought was what killed them? Was it ick? If it was all the fish can be contaminated. My point.....stay on top of cleaning your tanks. That includes where the water flows. Those looked nasty too. read more

Great grooming area!!! My dog Augie is a puppy mill rescue and it takes a lot for him to trust people. The salon manager, Jen, has earned it for sure! Jen always does SOOO well with him. He always looks great. Everytime I call to make an appointment and no matter who is on the phone when they hear it's Augie coming in all I hear is "oh we love Augie. He's so cute. We can't wait to see him". They are always so nice and always gracious. I never have any problems leaving him here for a few hours because 1) he's in good hands and 2) I know he will look handsome as always. read more

This is an easy one. I had a great experience with the grooming department! I used to go to a different location, but always felt rushed and as if staff didn't like their job. Then I found Kerry at the Spring Hill location....I finally found the best place to take my dogs! She groomed my Irish Setter, Lucy, and not only did Lucy look beautiful, she was so happy when I picked her up! It's important to be able to trust your groomer and that you're dog is being treated well when you're away. Kerry loved on my Lucy and I could tell she loves animals which I believe is a huge part of the job. So 5 stars for Spring Hill Petsmart and 5 stars for Kerry! read more

They will even carry your large items out to your car. And that is wonderful since I am pregnant and a mother of two small children. I have taken my American Eskie to 2 different groomers before I tried PetSmart. Those other groomers couldn't get it right. Jen in the PerSmart Salon is amazing. She made my dog look AND feel amazing. His fur was the softest he has ever felt and he was so handsome when he left. Diggle has anxiety and gets really nervous. Jen is so sweet to him and understanding. I will continue to drive 1 hour there from my him just so my dog can get the best treatment. Love! read more

The store itself wasn't bad, but I was highly unimpressed with the groomers at this location. I dropped my dog off to get his nails cut and for a bath, I was told I would receive a phone call when he was finished, but to make sure I was there by closing time (his appointment was just a few hours before they closed). I never received a phone call, so when it got close to closing time I decided I better just go check on him, the groomers were sitting around waiting on me, and were rude acting like I was late (even though they never called!). They then proceeded to bring my dog out and he was still completely soaked from his bath, and only one paw had nails done and they were barely trimmed. When I mentioned this to them they said they were just too busy to get him dry and he wouldn't cooperate for the rest of his nails. My dog loves get his nails trimmed so I know that was a lie, and since all 3 of them were sitting around when I arrived, I know they had plenty of time to dry him. Needless to say, I will never be taking him back there for grooming again. The PetCo in Spring Hill does a much better job with grooming and is much more friendly. read more
