Previously I was denied grooming service for my dog because she had dry eyes and was being treated with eye drops. I was told to return after the situation was resolved. Unfortunately, this is a perm. condition and not contagious per my vet. I late spoke to store mgr. when I was refused a second time grooming. store mgr. stated new policy although my dog was groomed there in Feb. and has been going there since 2018. My groomer recently left. On Wed. May 21,2025 I again attempted to use their walk in option for a nail trim for my dog. I arrived at 5pm and they have a walk in policy for a Yappy hour nail trim from 2-6pm there were 3 employees there and none were grooming a dog. I was told no one could help me.............What is this salon doing? There is NO service there........what a shame that it has become a no service salon. I would not ever recommend this place---they say they have new management??? well it's certainly needs a lesson in customer service. read more

The Dog was getting low on her food so we made a quick pit stop to the Local PetSmart. Seeing we're always on the road, I have occasionally have a difficult time locating a PetSmart with Vitals Beef and Bison in stock. This is found in the refrigerator section and for a two pound roll it costs $13.99. I go through a two pound roll every week or so. My dog is EXTREMELY picky and this is the ONLY food she will eat. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars trying to find something healthy that she wouldn't turn her nose up at. PetSmart is the only store I've found to carry this brand. What I love about Vitals Beef and Bison is it's QUALITY QUALITY QUALITY. The ingredients are AMAZING. No filler, No!nitrates!!! They also have other recipes Pre cut or in a roll for dogs and cats. I would suggest downloading the PetSmart app. I use it to search locations and then to check the stores stock. You also earn points on every purchase that can be applied at checkout. I find the employees are always willing to answer questions and pleasant to deal with. This time was no exception. read more

We have been taking our dog to PetSmart in Vero Beach for a little over four years and have always been pleased with the service and impressed by the courteous and friendly staff throughout the store. Yesterday, I had to renew a prescription and, in my haste, left my wallet on a counter. If you are familiar with that sinking, punch in the gut feeling of having lost your wallet, you will understand how relieved and grateful that I was to be told, when I called PetSmart today, that they had my wallet safely locked away. When I got to the store to retrieve the wallet, I wanted to reward the finder but was told that they were just happy that they were able to help. The entire staff at Vero at 6590 20th St. are wonderful. I would particularly like to thank Nickole and Ashley (hope that I have the spelling correct) for spotting the wallet and keeping it safe for me. THANK YOU!!!!! read more

They said they would call me back in 3 hours and they called back in an hour and said we can't groom your dog she moves around to much shes 6 months old she's a puppy. We go pick her up and everything is packed up they just didn't want to groom her. That's is terrible. read more

update: cashmere had exray no broken bones...no arthritis good news inflammation was there tenderness given medicine for pain and inflammation...to he is wiggerly. coming back to himself ...today. manager told me that he was not sure if the company would pay for cashmere xray and medicine and doctors visits...unbelievable shame shame shame on you petsmart....my dog was uncomfortable for weeks...this matter is not over...... read more

Love this PetSmart! Truly the best I've been to. Can't say I've ever had a bad experience at any PetSmart really, but Vero Beach PetSmart consistently goes above and beyond. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. Dominic (who I believe is a manager), is always around asking if assistance is needed and answering questions in-store, and for curbside pickup, he always walks out with a friendly and kind disposition and nice conversation. Took my dog here just today. Was very satisfied with the service and the reasonable pricing. Except that they had hit her paw with the file and didn't even let me know. I'm sure that it's because she was most likely struggling considering it was one of her first times with then but I still would've appreciated them letting me know. Don't bring your dog to Petsmart if you have any special instructions for the groomer. They won't listen to you- we asked them not to use the dremmel tool on our dogs nails and not to use the blow dryer. They used both anyway and really traumatized our sensitive dog. Dominic was super helpful today! I missed some of the Outlines for timing your pick up accurately when I ordered online today. He patiently explained on the phone that normally they have a time frame in which they are capable of delivering the product to my car and even though I was there early he would do his best to get it to me. Worst Banfield I've ever been to! My cat had to be put to sleep yesterday because they did not thoroughly check him when he was brought in with a bad bladder infection two weeks ago. I gave him all his medicine and he was doing better now a week later he was completely blocked and blather about to explode. When I called Port Saint Lucie they asked did they do a x-Ray - and the answer is no! Why not These people charged me for everything else! Conned me into signing up for a plan when they knew the cat only had a slight chance of living told me he was all better and gonna be fine. I was better off self pay as I had been now I'm stuck with a plan for a dead cat! That all they ever did with the plan is give a rabies shot! Then the asshole mike at the counter wants to harass me about my Banfield payment being late while I'm standing there with a dying cat- lack of compassion! Not my fault the payment wasn't taken out when it should have been my cards on file! That's their mistake! I explained the cost of care today was gonna drain my account completely gimme till Friday for the other $32.95 - asshole waits till I walk out the store after my cat died and charges my card! Overdrawing my account! What's wrong with people? This never went down in New York! Some of the people who work here should have training in empathy and sympathy ! No sorry for your loss just gimme gimme gimme ! I spent way over $1000 in a month here on one animal! And that's with a plan! Don't even bother getting a plan! The vets here are great and so are the cashiers but two of the groomers are so rude I don't want to come back. Keep in mind there are many nice ones but Stacey is awful. My dog is actually fearful of her which obviously makes me dislike her more. The other groomer was a man I never got the name of or saw again. Mike at the veterinary check in desk is awful too. He was very obviously hitting on a young woman when she was checking her dog in and when she politely told him she wasn't interested, he got very rude with her! When I mentioned it to some other workers, they told me they often have issues with him and hear lots of similar complaints. I've seen her come in a few times now (my dog needs grooming very often) and he's rude to her every time! If I see it happen one more time I'm going to have to talk to him directly! I talked to the woman about it once and she told me (this is in her own words!) that she always has someone come in with her in case he's working so he won't be as awful to her and that he's not as rude when someone else is there to witness it. She also said that she has made complaints as well and nothing happened! read more

I take my Cocker Spaniel here for both grooming and also Banfield. As my Maggie Mae has had substantial health problems and I like her to appear well groomed and she feels better about herself when she is groomed and clean. The staff here is friendly and handle Maggie Mae with love and kindness which is very important to me. The grooming is well done and not as expensive as others I have used here in Vero Beach. Most important Maggie Mae is happy here. I have also used Banfield for my Maggie Mae, appointments are always available quickly and the vets always spend the necessary time with their patients again always treating them with kindness, love and sympathy for what they are going through. I can honestly say my experience since moving here to the Treasure Coast in 2010 the veterinary services are not as expensive as others and better as they are very thorough. Yes they do up sell but that is why you have a mind and you can say yes I want to do that, no I don't think I want to do that or I really wish I could however I can't afford it... all no different than any other vet out there. Bottom line is I have used Pet Smart for bathing and grooming as well as food and toys etc. I have aslo used the Banfield Veterinary clinic and have yet to be disappointed and they do a great compassionate job in handling my Maggie Mae.... The service is great and grooming is def cheaper than other places around Vero. Everytime I need something I can always find helpful staff without having to search all over the store. A few months ago all the groomers quit at Vero Beach, Florida store, don't know why but may have been a management desicion. The new groomers are absolutely the rudest women I have ever met. I made an appt for both of my dogs and they made the mistake of only setting appt for one. Instead of apologizing for the mistake the grooming manager Alex rudely told me she would do it but it would take a while , SHE had other things to do. After 15 years of using Petsmart for grooming. I will never take my animals back to the Vero Beach,Florida store again. They have also lost my business for my 6 pets needs. Never again. read more

Never and I mean never go to petsmart to get fish, I went there to talk to there "experts" because I've never had a tank this small, and I asked specifically if there was anything I had to worry about putting 6 fish in this tank, they said no infact I could put 4 more in, in less then 24 hours one of them died, me thinking could have been a bad fish I went back to get the poor guy replaced. I was met with the most smug and arrogant "expert" he went on for 10 minutes on how I messed up for putting in too many in at once when he told me that it was fine, and I could put more in, and let me walk out the door with them, and this morning another died, petsmart has lost a customer for life.
