Dr.Brown has been a godsend in treating my pup; I previously had another vet that couldn't cure my dogs mange, After one visit with Dr.Brown he adjusted her meds and in three days showed 100% improvement. Most recently she suffered a lens luxation and was diagnosed with glaucoma,I was depressed and heart broken to find out the opthemologist @PVSEC she would most likely be losing one of her eyes, I took her to Dr.Brown for a second opinion and follow up, he was able to (again) switch her meds up and she has since been doing great! Listen, I could go on but I couldn't say enough about Dr.Brown. He takes time to explain everything with you,he has a passion for helping animals and is just an all around amazing human being. The whole office staff has been nothing short of great, they're very efficient in what they do and really make you feel that your pet is a priority and is properly cared for.

One of the things I love about this office is that they have walk-in sick hours every weekday morning. This is huge, as there have been occasional concerns we've had about our cats, but this allowed us to avoid crazy emergency visit charges. We are also able to schedule out Saturday appointments, where we can both bring the cats (it can be a lot to get them in their carriers by yourself) if needed. Their appointments do fill up fast but their walk-in hours are a great option if you are in a bind. They are also great about refilling my one cat's meds and helping answer questions etc. The staff is always nice and helpful, and the place itself is always clean. We are very happy coming here.

But if your dog isn't actually sick and just has diarrhea just get metronidazole and Fortiflora online and save yourself the diagnostics, poop exam, and overcharge on medicine especially some otc stuff. They ask owners lots of questions to help with a diagnosis. My dog gets a more thorough exam than I do at my doctor-(I'm not complaining as I really hate going to the doctor). Dr. Dymun emailed me several times to check on my pet's progress and offered suggestions to aid her recovery. It was easy to schedule an appointment and I can't complain about fees as I feel my pet received extraordinary care.

I took my cat Nika to VCA Wexford Animal Hospital two times. I made an appointment for a…read morenew-patient exam, and then I made an appointment with a vet tech for blood tests. I would prefer that this animal hospital have more evening and weekend hours, but we did get evening or Friday appointments that worked for us. For both appointments, the front staff quickly checked us in, and we used the separate waiting area for cats. The vet techs started our appointments on time. I appreciated that they had familiarized themselves with my cat's previous medical records. For the first appointment, the veterinarian arrived several minutes late, but she was very knowledgeable and nice (even after my cat when being palpated peed on the table!). She did a physical exam on Nika, and we discussed Nika's history of kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, anemia, and UTIs. The vet said that many kidney-disease cats need longer than 2 weeks of antibiotics, which is true and something that my previous veterinarians never said. She recommended a supplement to prevent UTIs. Later, another veterinarian here promptly ordered a refill for a thyroid medication for Nika. Employees at the front desk promptly rang up the fees for the exam, supplement, blood tests, and fecal test. I thought that the prices were OK. A few days later, Dr. Santabene called me about the test results. We spoke for about 16 minutes, and she communicated very thoroughly and politely. Nika's kidney labs were much worse than before, so we increased her lactated ringers (LR) and added a phosphate binder that was ready for pickup hours later. For my upcoming international vacation, Dr. Santabene was still willing to keep Nika at VCA Wexford's pet hotel where the vet techs would administer 100 mLs of lactated ringers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and 150 mLs on Mondays and Fridays (because vet techs do not work on weekends). The employees at the pet hotel took a while to tell me accurate prices, but the final estimate was $1,324.30 - $1,374.30 (which included $344 for 10 fluid therapies, $86 for 10 biohazard waste disposals, $244 for 10 technician office visits, and $650-700 for 13-14 nights in a nice-looking feline boarding condo). However, days later Nika began to show serious symptoms, so I had her euthanized by a different veterinarian. Weeks later Dr. Santabene mailed a handwritten sympathy card to me. For my next pet who has a medical diagnosis, I will probably bring her/him here, because I think that Dr. Santabene has knowledge and empathy that many other vets lack.

I can't say the same for my dog, because every time she comes she has to step on a scary scale and/or get poked. But this is to be expected!

She would send photos during each visit which gave us piece of mind. She would come twice a day, usually for 30 minute visits. And she was always ready to care for our furbabies on short notice. I highly recommend Fetch and Paulette for peace of mind when you have to go away! Billing is done monthly and you can add a tip if you are short on cash before going away.

I called to schedule home service care for my two cats for a total of 3 days (July 10 to 12, 2021)…read more Christina and Jen came out to my home to meet the cats and so I could show them where the food, litter, and treats were located. At that time the assured me that they would come for the scheduled days and send me pictures or updates regarding my cats. When I left home on Friday I left out 2 bowls of water and 4 dishes of food. Every day that I was away I received pictures and/or updates about my cats via text message. When I arrived home Monday evening (July 12th), both bowls of water only had water covering the bottom and the food was only covering the bottom of ALL 4 food dishes. I have left my cats alone for 2 days in the past, with no one coming into the home to check on them, with the same set up of food and water(2 water bowls and 4 dishes of food). After 2 days of the cats being alone in the past, all of the bowls would still be about 80% full when I returned home. That was not the case when I returned after 4 days away with people supposedly caring for my pets. There is no way that they were filling their food and water daily, like I had contacted for them to do. I was very disappointed, but decided to just pay my bill and move on. I recently requested my keys back and they informed me they would be sent back via certified mail and there was a $20 charge to mail them per our contract. The same contract that stated the cats would be cared for daily. Their audacity in asking for $20 to get my keys back is what prompted me to leave this rating. I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted to warn others who care for their pets as much as I do, to BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE.
