There had been a mixup with my order and I needed a refund. The customer service was horrible. The waitresses who took my order basically blamed the mixup on me instead of admitting to her mistake. The waitresses lacked professionalism and instead of trying to solve my problem they acted in a rude manner. It took about a week to get into contact with the owner. I inconveniently had to constantly call the restaurant and go in person in order to reach him. Unfortunately, my experience with the owner was deeply disappointing. I was unaware that the restaurant opened at 11:00 AM. After seeing other customers enter, I assumed it was acceptable to go inside. The owner responded by yelling at me from across the parking lot, which I found unnecessary and disrespectful. When I later placed my order, she did not greet me and instead gave me an unfriendly look. She then made comments about me in Korean to one of the employees in a mocking manner. Having studied Taekwondo for 15 years, I was able to understand what she said. As someone from Los Angeles who appreciates and respects different cultures, I was shocked and hurt by this experience. I drove three hours to visit this restaurant and left feeling singled out and racially profiled. No customer should feel judged or insulted because of their appearance or ethnicity. Businesses should treat every guest with respect and professionalism. Because of this experience, I will not be returning, and I hope the ownership reflects on how customers are treated.
