Lots of fun lots of memories and lots of Pez dispensers was worth a stop. Not really out of the way and the kids will go nuts.

Have driven by the sign on NY trips Oh my good for YEARS... Finally decided one day to stop in. Fairly close to highway - signs direct you right there. Its a super cute, small enough place. The day we went (and they might do this every day) they were having a free giveaway, and then they also had a Scavenger Hunt (some shitty little kid ruined it for my kids & yelled at them the answer) I wanted to slap his mom as she laughed, OK Woosa.. The place is full of Museum like Pez, when the factory is in session you can watch them making right there through the glass. There are a few sections to purchase and LOTS of cool things, prices are low so not hitting on that Touristy price trap stuff. There is also a pick your own color tube or loose Pez at the back of store so you can buy a GIANT BAG and not have to deal with the little impossible to open easily wrapper. We got some free swag too, Will def stop in again on another trip! read more

Home to the biggest PEZ in the world! The PEZ factory is an affordable and fun experience. It was a walk down nostalgia lane, and I enjoyed the mini-games such as the scavenger hunt, trivia, and the memory matching game on the console upstairs. The PEZ visitor center is definitely more that than factory tour. The window to the factory is there but you can't really see much because they work so far away. Besides that, the inside houses all of their PEZ dispensers throughout history and has a lot of cool novelty products in display, including giant PEZ dispensers and other toys. The chopper was cool and the PEZ seats are definitely one of a kind. It cost 5 dollars to go in but you get 2 dollars to spend on anything in the store (that's enough to buy one PEZ dispenser!) Overall spent about an 45 min to an hour here just wandering around and doing the scavenger hunt which made it more fun. Seeing their different dispensers was interesting in itself. Not a fan of the candy so much, but the dispensers are definitely iconic. Worth the detour if you're in the area! read more

CT is known for their PEZ factory/museum (at least, that's what I've read). I visited PEZ randomly on my way up to Ikea. It's cheap to visit ($5/per adult, $4 seniors, $4 ages 3-12, under 3 is free). If you do the scavenger hunt, you get a free PEZ. The main floor is huge and filled with a ton of facts about PEZ. They have so many PEZ from past to present. It's really a PEZ museum. The staff are friendly, restrooms are clean, and overall, it's just a fun place to visit if you are on a roadtrip or have time. It won't take more than an hour to get through. Parking is free and plenty. It's a one time visit sort of place unless you're taking friends and family for their first visit. So in short, PEZ is a fun quick visit when passing on through. read more

I'll be honest with you... I hate PEZ. The taste is gross to me and I never ever liked them BUT I always loved the different characters and themes for Pez. I really wanted to visit here for a long time for that reason alone. This place was so fun! It's only $5 to enter so even if you don't like anything there, it's literally $5 you won't go broke. You get a lanyard which I kept as my souvenir. You can also do a Scavenger Hunt which if you fill all the missing letters, you will get a PEZ. I didn't do this mostly because I just wanted to enjoy the experience and not search for random things, but my husband did do it and he got a Turtle Pez Dispenser. I loved seeing all the Pez's, all the prototypes, a glimpse into the factory. It's not a huge visitor center by any means, there is 2 floors but the 2nd floor is mostly for parties I'm assuming. It will take an hour or less to see everything, parking is free so yes... DEFINITELY check it out. Would I be back? I don't think there's a reason to come back since I've seen it and done it but yes, highly recommend. read more

I have a sweet tooth and taking a quick detour off I-95 to visit the Pez Visitor Center was an excellent choice to see something different. The visitor center requires a $6 entrance fee per person and is attached to an actual Pez manufacturing facility. When you enter the building, you can see Pez benches and Pez décor. After paying the entrance fee, and going through another set of doors, you'll see a giant Pez boy. There's a button that you could press that would make the boy's head go backward and a giant Pez candy would come out of the neck. This was fun and disturbing at the same time! There are two floors containing almost every Pez dispenser ever manufactured. There's also a small history of Pez display, which tracks the evolution of Pez. I felt that the best highlights of this visitor center were the earliest Pez dispensers, the collections of superhero Pez, the Bill and Ted dispensers, the selfie area, and the international Pez dispensers. I also enjoyed viewing the Pez motorcycle on the second floor. Alongside the right hand side of the visitor center, there are t-shirts, and various Pez items for sale. One of the best deals is the $6 "build your own bucket" of loose Pez that you could buy from various dispensers, similar the ones at M&M stores. As for kids, there is a coloring station and also electronic quizzes and matching games throughout the visitor center. For those who want a tour of the factory, I was told that you need at least 15 visitors to start a tour. The cost is $3 per person. From what I could tell, you don't really walk around the factory. There's just an windowed area adjacent to the factory with some equipment that they'll show you. The one last thing that everyone should know is that your ticket the Pez visitor center entitles you to a $6 credit toward any purchase. We used ours on the $6 loose Pez bucket and other items. All in all, we spent a lot of time at the visitor center, despite that fact that it isn't that large. If you like the minutia of looking at each Pez dispenser, you'll love it here. I just love the fact that it's a colorful, kid-friendly place with lots to see and buy. So take the detour off I-95. You won't regret it. read more

This is such a fun place with so much background history of how it started and how they make these candies. I came here with my family and we all enjoyed it. There is interaction games to play. They're so much from all the years that they been in business. The small gift shop has a variety of these Pez candies to buy. Upon paying they give you $2 each ticket purchase and a lantern to keep. I've loved PEZ since I bought my first one from a vending machine 45 years ago. This is a neat place to check out the memorabilia. They do charge admission, with a portion going toward store credit. Plenty of display cases and a nice clean visitor center with plenty of parking. I wouldn't make a special trip, as about 20 minutes is enough time to see everything, but if your driving through Orange on I-95 it's worth the $5 or $4 for kids to check it out. read more

Lots of Instagram-worthy sights and lots of American history to be had in looking at the evolution of PEZ over time. We didn't know this place existed until we saw one billboard advertising it. My oldest child LOVES PEZ candy, so we definitely turned in to check this place out. It's a cute little tourist attraction. It's not expensive! You can learn the history of the candy, see the variety of PEZ dispensers, and receive free candy. They gave us a card that had us look for certain PEZ dispensers through their small museum, and if you got them all correct you got a free dispenser. It would've been neat to be able to go INTO the area where they make the candy. The entire stop lasted about forty five minutes. read more

Fun place to peruse for about an hour. I can understand why people think the $5 adult admission is a lot for a big room filled with lots of Pez dispensers, memorabilia, a gift shop and about 5 windows to look into the factory. BUT with your admission you get a pretty snazzy lanyard (your admission ticket), a $2 off coupon for the gift shop, and you can play a game to win a Pez dispenser. The game consists of finding Snow White's 7 Dwarfs Pez dispensers that each have a a corresponding letter to figure out the key phrase. (Don't worry if you can't find all the dispensers, it's pretty easy to figure it out!) I think the gift shop could use some work. I wish they would have had more Pez shirt options for adults. (They only had 2 styles for women.) Overall, I had a great time. This is something you do once in your lifetime. read more

Take equal parts of a museum, a history of pop culture, a cruise down Nostalgia River, a big factory store, a working factory, and vibrant bursts of color, and you have the wonderful PEZ Visitor Center. It's an eye-popping collection of PEZ memorabilia, including a very cool interactive PEZ history display that delighted the kids I saw opening doors, touching screens, and spinning things. You can randomly explore the wonders, or take a self-guided tour. The memorabilia is grouped by subject matter - big glass showcases with dispensers for Superheroes, monsters, Toys & Games, Star Wars, cars, trucks, animals, Disney, sports, Christmas, Halloween, etc. Upstairs there's a party room for a Pez Birthday Party, and a Pez-themed motorcycle from the American Chopper TV Show. There was a contest yesterday, hunt around the center for various US President Pez dispensers, find the letters or words for each, and write them on a game card for a chance to spin the Pez Wheel for a Pez gift! Located minutes off I-95 the PEZ Visitor Center is a working production facility and visitors center rolled into one. Great place for kids and a great side trip for those traveling along I-95 Admission was $5, but you get a $2 store credit (which basically gets you a PEZ dispenser). Unfortunately the day I went the production side of the Visitor's Center was non operational but there is a great video which answered all my PEZ production questions. My favorite part of the presentation was the explanation that after the sugar was pulverized and before adding flavor, HFCS is added - giving it the "PEZ" flavor. Sugar on top of sugar, what else can I say... The "museum" portion of the PEZ Visitor's Center was self-guided and gives a great interactive history of the candy. It amazed me how many different types and varieties of PEZ dispensers were and are currently in production. Even more surprising was how many licensed images are in production, AND that there are actually PEZ conventions and fan clubs throughout the U.S. The store sells a variety of hard to find PEZ dispensers as well as other PEZ paraphernalia (shirts/key chains/etc). However the best part (and best deal in my opinion) was that for $5 you could fill a metal pale with whatever PEZ flavor combination tickled your fancy. Such a fun trip , if you love Pez. I couldn't give the Pez visitor center Yelps illustrious five stars , since there's not enough activities and interaction to keep busy for more than an hour. We bought four giant buckets of Pez candies, and I doubt that they will last more than a month in our house. (I don't personally care for them ...chalky candy doesn't do it for me. But my family goes nuts over it.) They were very accommodating with my service dog, and allowed her in with no trouble. Overall, the experience is adorable and highly recommend if you are in the area. OR if you really love Pez, you can make a special trip, like we did. read more

If you live nearby or are on a road trip with some time to spare, this is a cool place to stop to kill a half hour or so. Like someone else said, it's basically a gift store with facts and display cases, which at first you might think is a ripoff to pay to look at merchandise, but you do get a store credit and there are a lot of Pezes (Pez's?) on display. I guess during weekdays you can see people working, which could have been cool. I personally would not like to work in a factory while people watched me though. Despite Pez not actually being a great tasting candy, it's cool to read through the history and look at the brightly displayed colors. I would have enjoyed a guided tour, but my guess is it's not busy enough for them to justify hiring someone for that. And they were out of the presidential set of the first 5 (aka the best five.) So a neat little stop but not something worth a large travel to. There's not that much to see. read more

Fun for a quick trip...I think we spent about an hour there, including our time picking out candy in the gift shop. They are open for visitors 7 days a week, but there is no candy production on weekends. So it's a self guided tour through some Pez history, complete with displays of vintage Pez dispensers. There are a couple of computerized games along the way, and the chance at the end to get a photo with your head on a Pez dispenser. As others have said, your admission price includes a $2 credit per ticket at the gift shop. We were a group of 3, so we had a whopping $6 to spend! It's harder than you think! Prices in the gift shop are pretty reasonable, $2 for dispensers with 3 packs of candy, 6 packs of candy were only $1.59 and you could get any flavor, or you could get the metal bucket filled with loose candy for $5.99. We ended up with a couple dispensers and three 6 packs of candy - chocolate, sour apple and sour watermelon. The Pez factory is fun for all ages, just don't plan to spend all day there. Plan for about an hour, or maybe longer if you get hooked on trying to beat the high score on the match game, like I did!! It may be better to go on weekdays when the factory is operational. But everyone who was there on Saturday afternoon with us seemed to be having fun! read more

Such a cute pit stop on my way to New Haven! To be honest the place is TINY. There isn't much to see, just one room filled with everything about Pez that you can imagine. It was so adorable to see but at the same time not something to go out of your way for, unless you are a Pez Enthusiast I guess! There's a part of me that says it deserves a 5 star review. But really it is a one-roomed place with candy everywhere. Now don't get me wrong, we stop here every time I'm in town. I love this place and could spend hours here. The admission is a steal at $5 for adults and $4 for seniors/children 3-12. They also give you $2/person credit back to spend in their gift shop. Most single dispensers are 1.99 and you can also play their game to win another dispenser. On the back wall you can fill a bucket with at least ten different flavors. Upstairs you can find more fun stuff to look at, such as a bike designed by the guys from Orange County Choppers. Nice area to sit and great views of the displays from above. read more

Going to the PEZ visitor center was a random decision after remembering that they are based in Orange. It was a GREAT last minute decision. First of the all, when you pull up to the building you know you're there. Giant PEZ packages are designed on the side of the building. The classic PEZ logo there as well. Walking into the front doors you are dazzled by a 20-30' wall of various PEZ dispensers behind a plexiglass logo. There is an cinema style "ticket booth" where an employee helps you with admission. They charge an admission fee for adults and children. It's not too expensive though and they gave us a credit to use on purchases which was cool. When you walk in there is walls of displays that show different PEZ merchandise over the years. The entire visitor center is super color and eye appealing at every corner. Different styles of PEZ. Some of which date back to the 50s. The wall near the entrance and the wall next to that have some cool kid friendly interactive stuff to learn about the PEZ company. In the back, they have several places to do your own photo ops. One as a PEZ dispenser and Two against a backdrop. There is an employee on staff the day we went showing kids how the PEZ are made. You can actually see into part of the factory through glass windows and it cool to see. I forgot to mention that they have this "find these PEZ" look and find game that if you find all 8 you get to spin a wheel to win a free PEZ. It really gets you to look through each case. There is a 2nd floor where they have some more PEZ nostalgia from past PEZ advertising and promotions. PEZ salesman clothing, PEZ motorcycle and more. The shop section is actually reasonably priced. All the individual PEZ dispensers were fairly cheap and we walked out spending very little but had ALOT of fun for 1.5 hrs. Did I mention that they do group events and parties? Our visit to the PEZ museum was great for the kids. The scavenger hunt was necessary so that they could even appreciate the variety of Pez dispensers. Otherwise, they all look the same to little people. Successful completion of the bingo scavenger hunt will give the kid a dispenser prize. I recommend going to the museum if you're in the area, but I would not recommend driving 12 hours out of your way to come here. I would have also like to see them make PEZ candy, but the factory was not operational at that time. Try to come with the factory is going. read more

When we first arrived here I have to say I was a little taken back by the price (even though it was only $5) lol. But the visit pays for itself because you get to keep the visitor pass and lanyard, get $2 towards any purchase in the store and then if you participate in the scavenger hunt you get to spin for a free pez dispenser! We came on a Saturday afternoon so we didn't get to see them manufacturing the Pez and having known no information on the Pez there were a few cool facts to learn about the candy! It was really fascinating to see all of the dispensers, heck they even have the presidents as dispensers. Even though we didn't get to see them make the Pez they had a video where we learned about the process. There are even two floors to see things lol and I definitely went on a shopping spree here for my friends and nephews choosing which dispenser I wanted to get for everyone.
