In a sec they told me how many cars in my area, the closest one, how many minutes away. Photo, Name, license plate, color & model of car! I used it three times. No money exchanged hands, everything is done with your account. As long as you have your phone your all set to go!!!! Uber drivers take you anywhere ( nothing is too far & return you later) including NJ, PA... No cab driver moaning about how many fares he'll lose. I am a New Yorker at heart. I know my way around the city very well. Unfortunately there is always construction going on, but I know where I'm going.

Brianna (rating of 4.95) decided 15 minutes before arriving to cancel as well (we were afraid it was going to happen as no car was on the road at 20 minutes before departure). We did this as an experiment to see how reliable Uber really is at early hours. So, I got up, drove my wife and kids to the airport in Hartford, CT. The drivers don't want to get up that early in Connecticut so if you want support, avoid Uber. I did this as a test because I knew could drive them if the car did not show up (I have to work today so I was not going). In the future, we will pay more for a car service to do this because Lyft failed the same test last year. These car services are good for daytime travel only - early morning or late night you can forget about reliability because the drivers can abandon you with little time left to get another option and you will not learn this from their scores as they cancel before you can rate them.

Several incompetent drivers cut him off because THEY waited to the last moment to merge into the right traveling lane. With his excellent driving skills the rest of the passengers never even knew what was happening. His use of the GPS rerouted us a few times to avoid traffic jams that could be seen extending off to the horizon; getting us to and from the casino on time. There were even entertainment on the bus, enhancing the ride. And the bathroom was clean and smelled pleasant.

I called and was told 5-7 minutes. 15 minutes later it was not there. I called again and was told the driver was around the corner and to be patient. I was told that I could wait or "just call an uber". The taxi company actually said this. The car never came. 40 minutes later the car was not there. The person answering the phones let the phone ring with every call. They saw the caller ID knowing it was me asking for the car. No answer at all. No taxi ever picked me up. I'm actually shocked at how bad this company is. NEVER use this taxi service.

Off the top of my head, I knew four different routes, and he took the slowest, longest one. He knew I was local -- which made it more frustrating...and insulting. Fare was too high: 2 stars for that. You get what you pay for. STAY AWAY…read more Two of the worst driver experiences ever. For the trip to the airport, Lawrence E. showed up early and was rushing us the whole time. When we got to the car, instead of saying hi or being professional, he rudely told us we were making him late because he had to go to Smithtown after us. Then, he drove us to the WRONG AIRPORT. For the trip back, I got a text from Damian Smith when we landed, telling us he was running late. I appreciated the heads-up. He said it would be about 35 minutes, which would have been only a short wait for us after getting our bags, but it ended up being over an hour and 40 minutes. We kept checking in with phone calls and texts and he always said he was very close and would be there soon. At one point he said he had stopped to get gas. Then he said he was very close and that we should come outside. So we waited another ten minutes in the cold with our newborn baby after a 2 hour flight and he still wasn't there. I called him and demanded to know where he was, explaining that my newborn was cold and hungry and he hung up on me. Not knowing what else to do, I called the company to complain and cancel the ride. Just as he was pulling up, the company hung up on me. Damian now wants to talk to me "man to man". He said the safety of his passengers is his number one priority and that he had to get his wheel fixed, as if I should have both known that was what was really going on, and that I should have been grateful that was the reason he was late, instead of doing the right thing and letting us and the company know so other arrangements could be made. He denied hanging up on me. And felt he had to explain that he was in the right because the wheel needed to be fixed. He also told us he had to drive to Canada the next day. When he got us home, he said "See? You're home safe." As if he was a hero. Worst experience ever.
