Luckily for me, my racket simplified things for me by having the suggested string and grip imprinted right on it. As well as the recommended tension range. I took my selections up to the corner by the putting green and paid upfront for my materials and the $14.99 for the tennis restringing. They only restring on Mondays and it should be done by 3pm, I was told. Sounded like a plan! When I went back for my racket, it was ready and waiting for me! read more

Once again, I received FIVE Star service at the PGA Superstore here in Braintree. I returned a club that I bought a month ago and wasn't happy wit the way I was hitting it. Joe Beck said "Let's hit a few others in the simulator to see what fits and feels better." In 30 minutes, we found the ideal club. The return policy is excellent. I shop here regularly because of the excellent customer service. My sons and I got fitted for new clubs and were treated like lifelong customers. I had a set of Titleist irons shafted and gripped, 3 day turn around. I bought a set of Vokey SM8 wedges.... the store associate took a good amount of time to figure out which ones o needed and I was fitted with a 52, 56, and 60 degree wedges. Greatest investment. I just walked out of PGA superstore in Braintree very very disappointed will never go back do not recommend women go to the store to buy clubs! I asked a young man to see clubs he set me up and disappeared was helping another gentleman and had no interest in coming back to me. They do not have any left-handed clubs in when you ask for a certain club in lefty they look at you like you are the issue as to why they don't carry it. One employee even told me that it is not their fault that left handed golfers are not common. I'm pretty sure last time I checked more people than ever playing golf. Therefore, there will be more lefties, then there has ever been. I do not recommend this place for left-handed golfers. Discuss reporters in Golf close. Got all of my clubs re-griped! I originally got two of my irons done, just to make sure I liked the grips that I picked out. They got them done right away for me (walked around the store for 20 minutes). I dropped the rest of my clubs off later that week after work, and was able to pick them up the next day. Fast and all of them are perfectly aligned. I also buy all my tees, and balls here because they have the largest selection and great prices. Cherry on top is how accessible it is off the highway and always plenty of parking. read more

Went in yesterday to try out some irons I am thinking about for my fitting in two weeks. Just want to get a feel for them. The older gentleman to who helped me was a total jerk! He was condescending and anything but helpful. Moreover, he got a good deal of information wrong. I think he wrote me off once he figured out I was not going to purchase from them. I was open to getting a driver on my visit, but we never made it to the second reason for my visit. I will not do any business with PGA TOUR Superstore in the future. read more

Absolute worst experience I have ever had in any retail setting. My wife and I went in to purchase new irons and a couple of fairway woods. First, we spent 30+ minutes watching most of the employees hitting golf balls. We went to the front desk and asked if someone could help was and were told "go ask one of those guys over there". They all seemed to have walkie talkies, you'd think they would call someone to help us. I finally asked if I could trouble them for some assistance, the one person that walked over had no interest in helping me with my purchase at all. I was looking for a particular set, he informed me they were sold out. I told him they were available online for same day in store pick up, he said "website is wrong", and walked away. I went back and asked him if he could look again, opened the top and did not even look just said no we don't have them. Again, he walked away, had to get back to the wanna be pro player co workers in the driving range. I had questions on other irons, but decided to leave as I was absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated. When I walked to the car, I went online and placed the order for in store pick up and was notified 10 minutes later order was ready for pick up when they open in the morning. This store really needs to some training on customer service. I was in there to spend over $1500.00. regardless of how much anyone is spending, they are getting paid to assist them. Seems like they are all there to just hang out either on the putting green or the driving cages. I will be returning the order as soon as I pick it up just to prove a point and will then order from Golf Galaxy as they are 100.00 less anyways. Avoid this place if you have a low tolerance for laziness and rude service. read more

Looks like a great place. Location, merchandise. One missing link. Staff. When I went there it seems like most of the sales folk were in the front of the store having a bromance (for the twenty minutes I was in the store). I ended up leaving and buying my new adidas pro tour shoes off of Amazon. Too bad could have been a great resource. This falls squarely on the shoulders of management. Let me start off with the positive aspects.. This store has pretty much every club on earth which is nice. The staff let hit 30 balls in the simulator and changed the shafts multiple times per my request. I spend a lot of money on golf clubs. It doesn't bother me to purchase a $1000 worth of golf products a month. That being said let me discuss the negative aspects.. I went to the store looking to purchase a new fairway wood and putter. I didn't get to test a putter since there were 8 kids on the putting greens with there moms trying to tell them what to do. I grabbed a $429.95 putter, attempted to snag a ball off the ground but in doing so sparked a 9 year old girl to dive to the ground swiping it before I did. Sweet. I did like the fairway wood and went to purchase the demo, but of course they didn't have the shaft I liked in stock. I have a sour taste in my mouth after coming here. read more

went to PGA Store in April 2021 to get some court shoes. I have an issue w pronation. I asked a guy who (Had the absolute worst body odor ever) who worked there to guide me on shoes. He knew absolutely nothing about shoes. He said "these look nice!". " you want something comfortable". i blatantly asked him to find me someone who knew anything about footware. He left and then returned and said a supervisor was on her way. i waited fifteen minutes and noone came. The guy continued to show me shoes as i literally ignored him. i finally left and i will never go back there. I give this store a year at best. what a joke. read more

My wife surprised with a club fitting "Tour Van Experience" to get fitted for new irons, and I was fortunate to get Don Beers. I had never done a fitting before, and had no idea what to expect. What an experience! Don was amazing. He took the time to explain the process along the way so I could get my head around what we were doing, and why. He was very knowledgable and proficient in using the simulator to it's potential (sometimes with fancy technology it doesn't get used properly or the experience is clunky), which really elevated the experience and showed me how I was hitting certain clubs. Don also helped to give me perspective along to way which helped me come to the same conclusion - instead of just telling me what works/fits best. He even gave me some small tips along the way and some things to consider in my game, without diverting the fitting. And he was fun!!! The experience was so enjoyable with Don. In fact, I'm going back to do a Driver fitting in a couple weeks. If anyway is looking for a great gift, I have to say my wife nailed it. I recommend you book Don! read more

Wanted to upgrades all my clubs and bag, walk in last week . all of most the staff looks at me and walked away, golf as it called the gentleman's game, so I decided to feel it in the so called the PGA store. walked around and picked up lots of clubs , bags, shoes and clothes,. every staff almost come by near and looked at me and walked away again, no one said a word, not even hi. I will preface this review by stating that I have worked in the golf industry for a decent amount of time throughout both high school and college. I was employed by the now defunct Golfsmith in Northborough, MA, and later for a major club manufacturer working demo days. My point in stating this is that I have an above-average knowledge concerning the golf realm. Having played golf in various places south of MA, I have had some exposure to other PGA Tour Superstore locations. This past winter, I had my putter grip changed at a store in Orlando with absolutely no issue. When I heard this location in Braintree was opening I was excited, as my previous experiences with the Superstore have all been positive. Recently I picked up a set of ferrules from BB&F co. online and decided it might be a good idea to bring in my iron set to have them installed. The Superstore not only had a special on the price of shaft work for a full set of irons, but they also quoted a 48 hour turnaround, which is decent for that type of work. I went into the store for the first time on 5/4/19. This was my first encounter with an employee named Tim. This particular employee initially refused to take my clubs in, as he claimed the ferrule size on the parts I ordered versus those on my irons did not match. I almost left the store without protesting but decided to stick around and quickly search whether this was correct or not. Tim was incorrect as the size of the ferrules were matching to those on my iron shafts. When this was established, they agreed to take in my clubs to do the work. When I went to pay for the transaction, the full price was originally applied, rather than the discount initially advertised on their website for the full set of clubs. I had to specifically ask for the discount before it was applied. Exactly 48 hours from when I left the store, I had received no call that my irons were ready to be picked up. I decided to call and check in before driving over. The services manager, Scott, picked up the phone and said that he just had not gotten a chance to call me yet. Scott explained to me that whoever did the work on my irons actually broke my pitching wedge. He explained this was because there was rust at the bottom of the shaft, (which was purchased last year) which led them to use a shaft puller to remove the shaft that was stuck. From experience, I can say that under no circumstance should anyone doing work on a club use enough force to actually break it. Instead, a blowtorch could have easily been used to melt off the old ferrule to remove the shaft. Regardless of their lazy technique, this was not what bothered me as I am fully aware that mistakes happen in a repair shop and this kind of thing is to be expected every once in a while. What really bothered me was that they left me completely in the dark about the entire process. The work was being done on the morning of 5/5/19, and the only reason I even found out what had happened hours later was because I personally called to check up on the situation. After more contact with Scott, he told me they could do the rest of the irons and it would be another 48 hours. So much for the 48 hour original quote. Even this I would have found to be forgivable, but the thing that truly bothered me above all else was the process in hunting Scott down to order the replacement shaft owed to me. He assured me that he put in an order on the Thursday (6/6/19) I went to pick up the rest of my irons, for a new pitching wedge shaft. He said they might be able to get it over-nighted to the store, but likely it would be in on Monday. Today is 6/22/19 (18 days later) and I just received the replacement shaft in the mail, that I will have to install into my club at my own cost. I should point out that I emailed Scott twice about this issue, with no response each time. It took me finally calling the store to actually get anything done. He claims they were on back order, but I know from experience these shafts (Tour Issue x100) can be had easily within two days from a myriad of online retailers. Scott refunded me the price of the work they did on the one shaft they broke, and sent me a $50 gift card to the store. At the end of the day, this situation caused me so much hassle that I will likely be spending that gift card online as there is exactly zero chance I step foot in that place again. I was not looking for a gift card in this situation, nor did I ask. In the future, rather than just doling out store credit, I would hope they take the time to communicate errors to their customers, which in my book is much more appreciated than petty reparations for their incompetence. For anyone interested in potentially getting anything done at this store, you might be fine with something simple like grip installation, but I honestly beg you to stay away from getting any serious club work done. read more

I had a tour van fitting experience to explore new driver options. Noticing my Taylor Burner from about 2008 may have lost some of its potential by pulling right (a recent change). I took a lesson at a local course and the pro went through my bag - he said my driver was fine. So I had it regripped. I'm not a serious golfer when it comes to equipment. I buy decent stuff and it lasts (there are some years I never golf so age isn't so much an issue). I'm not a "status golfer" and I don't care what people think about my clubs. Their job is to sell me something, and I get it. The three drivers I tried against the machine (which is impressive I must say) did show improvement - no question. But the right pulling problem did not go away (I have to make a self-adjustment, meaning, it isn't my driver). The improvement was enough for me to justify the spend, also, as a woman in North Central Mass, we don't have a lot of options for fitting, that I know of. Even the local pro I visited who suggested a re-grip on my driver couldn't do it because they had no ladies grips in stock. Yep, it's like that. I enjoyed my experience here and would recommend it to a friend. I was even queried about my new Cobra hybrid, and asked "Do you hit it like an iron or hit it like a wood?" I thought this may be a trick question, as this is my first hybrid. I said "iron" but thought about it on the 60 mile drive home. Hmmm.... read more

I was driving by so i figured i'd stop in and try the new clubs i had seen and thought i'd want (the new version of the brand I've been using for 3 sets). Pat Burke was already helping someone else but got me set up to warm up. Then, when available, he spent over an hour with me. He had me retrieve my 7 iron from the car to compare it to the one i wanted. I was happy to do this as i've heard big chain monitors can be amp'd up to make you think you hit the new clubs farther. I gained about 5 years with the new clubs but my old club went as far per the monitor as i know they go. Then he suggested another brand - i wasn't really interested, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. He then made adjustments to both new clubs. After the adjustments, the club he recommended was the only club i hit the 170yd green with every time. Even my mis-hits were in play. I bought the clubs after he helped me choose grips...and they were less expensive than the ones i thought i wanted. I have to wait for shipping due to the adjustments but i'm excited to get my first round in with them, and i will NEVER buy straight off the rack again. Thanks Pat! read more

Brought my irons in to get re-gripped. Very friendly staffperson greeted me as I walked in and the club repair station was right up front! Spoke with a very knowledgeable gentleman named Tom who worked on my clubs and gave me some advice about my grip choice. While I was waiting, I went back and one of the club fitters, Jimmy, helped me find a sand wedge. I then wandered into the shoes where I found some incredible deals on some great spikes! To top it all off, they have every golf ball on the market (basically) in full cases of balls plus the largest selection of golf gloves I have ever seen! After scoping the golf clothes (another great selection) I realized I had been in the store for an hour and my irons were ready! What a great new store for Braintree! read more

Bought a driver yesterday, employee Sean helped me out. Got me fitted took some practice swings he evaluated everything and set me up with a new cobra driver. He was pleasant to work with, understanding about everything, and was never pushy once. He also helped me pick out the right golf balls to use and fitted me up with a new glove. When I go to buy a new set of irons I will definitely be asking for Sean again. read more
