I hired Dom's Demo to remove a failed renovation project in my basement. Billy showed up to review,…read moreand quote the project promptly, and the process was quick, and painless. He looked at it, asked a few questions about what I needed, and what I had planned. Then he offered a price, we shook hands, and he walked out. The team showed up exactly on time. I arrived at my house a few minutes early to be sure to meet them if they arrived on time, and Billy was already silently sitting out in front of my property, waiting on his start time. He could have called me in the wee hours of the morning to get started exactly when he arrived, but instead chose to patiently wait for his scheduled start time. Once inside, the crew got right to work on every thing we agreed upon. They tore out walls, framing, plumbing, you name it. If they could safely remove it, they did so quickly, and without complaint. Within a few hours my basement looked like an unfinished basement again, with the predictable debris on the ground. My only complaints are two fold. The first is that they demolish property, but have no trucks in the company to remove the debris. I wish that I had known to schedule a dumpster, or junk removal truck to completely clean out the property that day. This is not to diminish the work that they did, but to remind other home owners to plan ahead accordingly. My other complaint is that Billy, and I ultimately disagreed on the price. Because our hiring process was so informal, we never actually wrote down what the price would be. He had one memory of it, and I had another. He is certainly not a dishonest man, but one or both of us could not clearly remember our agreement, so I gladly ponied up the difference because of the speed, and quality of the work the team performed. Dom's Demo is a great demolition service when you need a team to tear down a problem area quickly and without complaint. Just be sure to have debris removal capabilities, and get a price commitment at least in a text message.

After I made contact, Sean called me back personally to discuss the situation and get us a second opinion from a reputable plumber. Sean and I spoke multiple times. He and his colleagues helped my family and I determine the best way to manage our water usage while we waited for the weather to improve so that the repair could take place. He also made sure we knew about our options to get assistance from the City of Boston to pay for the repair.
