Wonderful staff and amazing massage, even for the basic one I got. I've spent more money at chain "spas" and they don't compare to the technique, care and customer service. This is now my regular go to place. Vero gives the best pedicure, hands down. I took one star off because it's been 4 days and my nail polish is all chipped pretty bad. I went here for the first time last week, having recently moved here and not had a regular salon to go to. They are appointment-only because of COVID, but they were able to give me an appointment an hour from the time I called. I arrived and was seated right away and the proper precautions were taken and I received one of, if not the best, pedicures to date. This is a small neighborhood nail salon and spa. I received a warm, polite welcome. Not an experienced customer, I had many questions from what is done to how long it takes. All my questions were answered and everything step was explained. I had a mani-pedi. It was a very relaxing experience. I'm not sure what I enjoyed the most but, the warm stone massage on my legs and the wax on my hands were amazing! My nails are lovely and I will definitely go back. First time here today. I had the spa pedicure and it was well worth the $45. I was there for about 90 minutes and what a relaxing time it was. The technician took her time and completely massaged my legs and feet, I was exfoliated, buffed and scrubbed, had hot stones applied, paraffin wax on my heels and was expertly polished. I believe this is now called Ivy's nails. This shop is small but both the women there were super nice. I got a great pedi with a flower on each big toe, which was done really well and to my customer specifications. Also got a gel mani which was expertly done. Went here as a walk in about an hour before they closed one afternoon. They were busy and asked me to come back in a half hour to 45 minutes. I told them it was okay and that I could come back the following day so that they could go home on time. They told me that it was ok and to come back. Normally being able to get worked in late would have been a positive thing except that once I got back everything was rushed. The pedicure was fine. The owner did the pedicure and took her time so the finished product was exactly what I expected and I was happy with the results as well as the relaxing experience. The problem started when I moved to another girl for a full set of tips. Both women were extremely nice and we talked easily through the entire visit but it was obvious that this young lady wanted to go home and was rushing. One of the tips wouldn't stick at all and instead of starting again with a new one, she just tried to force it and told me not to worry that the acrylic will make it stick. The acrylic helping the tip stick turned out to be true but only for 3 days when it popped off. I would understand a nail or two popping off if a person has them long with a very active life style or works with their hands. At this time that is not the case with me. I had the tips very short and had them applied 2 days before I went into the hospital for surgery. I then spent the next 3 days asleep in a hospital bed. None of those nails had any business falling off but while in the hospital bed I LOST 4 NAILS! I was extremely disappointed as this was supposed to be a little treat for myself to cheer up and I felt as though the tips were simply a waste of money. This business is in my neighborhood and being that I like supporting local, small businesses I intend on going back and giving it another chance. Hopefully that experience is much better and this review can be amended. read more
