I love the service but its not as clean as you'd like, I asked for a small french tip with hibiscus on them. left with a french tip covering half my nail and daises. They could barely speak english and rushed me out leaving me with an ugly set of nails that I am now crying over, my graduation is in 3 days and I don't have the money for another set with how expensive they are. Came as a walk-in with my 5-year old daughter for shellac to help her stop biting her nails. They were fast and lovely and did a great job. On my nails I appreciate them doing enough layers I make it perfect. Came back for a pedicure and the service and massage part of the pedicure were awesome. Yan did a super job. read more

I went with my mother to the place. It took a while to get service but that was based off the fact that they were quite busy. the lady of mine was very gentle and patient (I'm bad at making decisions) and some parts where a bit painful but it was mostly because I am a pansy ass. There were minor mess ups when painting my nails but not bad. My Mother who usually has bad experiences during nail salons had a small issue with one thing, the lady doing her feet was quite rough and even made her bleed a bit using the razor and sponge. I went for a mani/pedi. The lady that was doing my nails assumed I wanted shellac, didn't bother asking me before doing it. I do not like shellac as it is brutal on my nails. when I noticed she put the first coat, I told her I didn't ask for shellac. she said sorry and continue with it as if whatever i just said meant nothing to her. Got my eyebrows threaded there. Only went there because my usual place was not open. The job done did not leave me happy. I thought it was too over done and the shape of the eyebrow threading job did not suit me. I had usually enjoyed after threading jobs for years, but this time walked away unsatisfied. Had a terrible experience here. Went in for a Acrylic fill. They drilled off the old acrylic burning me over once a nail - thats 10+ times! She told me that it was OK when I told her she was burning me and that she had to - BULL! THEN told me that they didn't do Acrylic fills and that they would just do gel. I said I wanted acrylic and they insisted they dont do it despite having it listed on the website and the signs. They then told me to wait and someone came out. They brought the Acrylic products with them and commented on how stinky they were which is a trait of MMA (*Methyl Methacrylate - an FDA banned product - ILLEGAL AND HIGHLY POISONOUS see www.beautyweb.com/consumer_alert_mma.htm for more info) I asked if they were using MMA and they openly admitted YES they were!!! As I was asking this question the tech slopped acrylic all over my nail, or finger rather... it literally covered the entire tip of my hand, skin included. Needless to say, thats the point where you have to say - forget it. And I did. (Thank goodness!!!) And told them to simply take them off... So they grinded and drilled the old acrylic off to the nail bed, severely damaging the nail bed in the process, despite me telling them to stop and I would just do it. THEN they charged me for it... RIDICULOUS!!!!! This place should be SHUT DOWN for what they are doing!!! Choose ANY other nail salon - just not here!!!! read more

Went for the first time today as I had some giftcards. I got a spa pedicure with shellac and a Brazilian. I was nervous as it isn't my usual place to go but I will be going again! The lady doing my wax wasn't comfortable at first because I am very pregnant so she asked another lady to do it. Which i was impressed that she was able to step back and ask someone else so I got the best customer service possible. Lin did an awesome job with the wax. she was very professional and fast. They got me in after the gym for a last-minute appointment with my feet in really rough shape after training. They took the time made me feel comfortable and just an overall fun environment. Definitely a great experience feels amazing and just the personalities that you get there are so sweet and caring. Went in for Pedicure and Manicure. The Owners daughter is quite rude, unfriendly and has a scowl on the whole time while she is glaring at you. It makes its hard to unwind and relax. They forgot to give me a manicure, then made it seem like I was keeping them late. My pedicure was ruined while they rushed to put my sandals on, I was so uncomfortable I didn't want to stay and get it fixed. They charge more than most places but don't value your business. I went for a pedicure and in the midst of the pedicure I felt a serious pain sensation on my foot. I am not sure if was the callous remover cream or the razor that caused the pain. When I mentioned to the pedicure lady she said burns happen all the time and she showed the burns on her arm form accidental splashing where callous remover had burned her. Her implied message to me was that it was no big deal. She rinsed my foot off and said it should feel better. It did not. I noticed my foot started to bleed on my heel. She said if I poked it of course it would bleed. I did not inflict and injury on myself and I did not poke it. T Her implied message to me was that this was somehow my fault. (She had poor English). It is day 3 and while scabs are now forming my foot still hurts. At least with these scabs I can see it healing so no infection. I am having a hard time wearing shoes so, lucky it is summer and I can wear sandals. I left my phone number for the manager to call. Day 3 and no call and no apology. I will not go back. read more

Not sure if possible to give less than a star. The manager did my manicure and she glued my fingers together. She also sanded way too much and cut three of my fingers. She missed a whole part of painting on my nail and when she was done painting she sanded again making some of the paint go away. Someone else did my friends pedicure and cut the bottom of her foot. read more

I can only comment on their waxing services which have all been excellent in my experience. Mahsa is the best, request her specifically if you can. She uses a combination of hard wax and strip wax to get even the most stubborn of hairs. Somehow my waxes are all less painful if she's my technician. This is my go to spot. read more

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience here. Do not go to this nail spa ever!!! I went in for a nail fill a day prior to my wedding as we were in a bit of a hurry and I ran out of time to go to my usual place. I was with a friend, we each had pedicures and my friend had a manicure. A lady called Jin did my pedicure, I have had hundreds in my life, and it has never been a painful experience, this was downright painful. She used the cuticle scissors and was so rough, I was surprised my toes weren't bleeding. I was going to ask that someone else do my nail fill, but I never complain, and I don't like to be rude, so over to the nail desk we went. All I needed was a fill. Very simple! Before I knew it, she had taken off my first nail tip completely saying that it was too cheap and needed to be replaced. She removed all of them in spite of my pleading that they didn't need to come off. They had only been on for 2 weeks, and were put on by a reputable salon, and were not 'cheap'!! She burned my nails several times while grinding down the nails that 'did not' have to be removed, and seemed totally unconcerned and unapologetic about doing so. She then proceeded to put shellac over my now nonexistent nails! When I asked her to stop, because the nails were gone, she looked shocked. "Oh, do you want tips" put on she said, "I will have to charge you!" In adding the tips, she could not get the glue to stick (that has never happened before), and when I asked if there was a different glue, she said no, and just added a whole lot more. My fingertips were literally glued to my nails! That evening the first nail fell off. The following morning, as I was putting on my shoes to go have it replaced, both thumb nails fell off! The nail technician at the second salon I went to was blown away by the awful job that Jin had done! When I was leaving Phamtastic Nails, I (who never complains), mentioned to the man at the counter, that I had only wanted tips, and that Jin had taken them off unnecessarily, and I did not feel that I should be charged. He gave me a discount of a couple of dollars, literally, stating that she had told me that I would be charged prior to putting them back on. It seemed totally lost on all of them, that the nails were only 2 weeks old, and ONLY needed a fill. Today, I have lost the 4th nail, and have made an appointment to have it replaced. At this point I am totally fed up!! The 'fill', has now ended up costing me well over $100.00. DO NOT ever go to this place, and if you do, beware of Jin! She DOES NOT know what she is doing. read more

I had a pedicure a couple of days ago for my birthday and I must say that overall, it was quite terrible. The only positive that I will say is that I've never had anyone spend as much time razoring and scrubbing my feet as they did... the bottoms of my feet are great. The reason for the negative review though is 1. She cut my cuticles so bad that they were stinging through the entire pedicure. A day later, I could see little scabs along the cuticle line and today my toes really hurt and they look so red and scabbed. 2. It was the most horrendous paint job I've ever had... the polish was so thick and globby. It dried bumpy with chunks around the edges of my toes :(. Since it was my birthday and I had dinner plans, I had to take off all of the polish when I got home and repaint them myself. Once again when I took the polish off, my cuticles stung like crazy because they were so cut up. I'm sure we can all agree that leaving a pedicure with a beautiful paint job is one of our favorite things and this was not the case for me which sucks because I loooved the color I chose. The lady doing my toes did try to fix one of them a couple of times by taking the polish off and repainting it again, but both times she's didn't even do a base coat and the more she tried, the worse it got. read more

I'd never treated myself to gel nails before I went to Phamtastic to get my wedding nails put on. I got pink and whites with some white floral decorations put on. For the wedding they were just beautiful - nicer than any set I've ever noticed for shape ect. They started to look bad quickly when they grew out though so I'm wondering if they made them look extra nice for the wedding and purposefully made the sacrifice. I was back for a fill I badly needed in two weeks (I thought I would get more time) and the fill looked not as nice but they were much flatter with less gel so they have been growing out much more attractively. I'm now two weeks after a fill and I'm not even considering another fill yet so maybe I'm currently wearing an average set of gels. They certainly take less care and attention to my nails during the fill and I had to get them to go back and adjust the shape and sharpness they were just going to gloss over. Overall I'm wanting to keep my nails for a while and I'll continue with phamtastic as I'm still pretty much happy. read more

I used to frequent the Phamtastic Nails in the Southwest as it was very close to my place of work. After moving to the NW I discovered this location. I am very happy with their service. The staff are friendly and accommodating and they do an excellent job on eyebrow threading. Good job on nails as well. My only complaint is that they could use a little more choices and variety when it comes to gel and shellack polishes. Overall, I would definitely recommend this salon. read more

I had a terrible experience yesterday. I went in and was told a few different prices for mani and pedi they dont have a price list so the owner made up a number I guess. Farrah did my pedi and Ann did mani. It was supposed to be a treat for myself and it ended up being a painful experience. Farrah has no work ethic, she couldn't even clip the nails properly and kept hurting me by going way too short and poking me with sharp objects and had to ask Ann to help her clip the nails. I was literally in tears. I left with so much pain my hands were bleeding from 3 fingers and my both big toes are swollen. I will not be going back to them ever again. My experience was absolutely horrible. I hadn't had my nails done in a while (no polish, no acrylic or gel, I came in with clean untouched nails) and I wanted to get gel done. I had an appointment, but they were still 15 minutes late to get me in, and I was shuffled between four different people to have my nails done. The first talked on her phone in a different language through the entire process and I had to ask her four times to shorten my nails until she actually heard me. I had to press the button on the curing machine myself because she was paying so little attention that she forgot (four times). Two and a half hours and three other people later, and my nails probably would look better if I hadn't gone in at all -- the surface is still rough and not smooth, the tips are uneven, and I would've been better off at home. Oh and they were by far the most expensive place I've seen! Save your money and go elsewhere. read more
