I've been to quite a few tattoo and piercing shops in my life, and these folks are the nicest and most patient piercers I've ever met. I so rarely leave yelp reviews, but I went back in to get another piercing on Saturday, and even their receptionist blew me away with her professionalism and kindness. She was so patient with me while I asked to see like 15 different earrings, and offered such great advice. One of my older piercings has gotten infected (because I'm an idiot and went snowboarding like 1 week after it was pierced and it's had a pressure bump ever since then), so I just called the shop and asked to speak to a piercer. No joke, she spent 20 minutes on the phone with me walking me through what I should do to help it heal. I stopped by last week hoping to get my nose and conch pierced. They happened to be closed on account of the holiday. Rather than going to a different shop, I returned the next day and I'm so glad I did! I didn't catch the name of the girl working the front desk but she was so friendly and helpful in picking out the proper jewelry. I've been pierced off and on by Amy for the last decade and it is ALWAYS a pleasure! She is consistently patient and charming and clearly knows what she's doing. Her concern for health and safety is always evident. Several years ago I got both my rooks pierced at the same time. One of them became excruciatingly painful overnight and I got into a doctor in the morning who prescribed me antibiotics for the infection. When I called Amy to check in and get her advice as well, she agreed going to a doctor was the right thing to do and advised me on what to do if i wanted to remove the piercing or not. The interaction felt totally professional and she made me feel a lot more comfortable than the doctor had. (The infection was taken care of and I still have both rook piercings to this day. What baffles me about other reviews is any mention of infection or serious pain where the reviewer didn't see a fucking doctor ASAP? Especially if you've been pierced multiple times you should know what's normal and NOT NORMAL) Most recently I went in to get my nipples pierced. Originally I had them pierced years ago somewhere else and thought they looked "off" but because they healed just fine and I didn't question it until my friend was looking into it herself. We talked with Amy who said my nipples had been pierced 1) too shallow, 2) with a curved barbell, 3) at 16g. She informed me I was lucky they had healed at all, didn't reject, OR split my nipples. Yikes! I took them out and had her repierce them. She did a beautiful job, I love them! Amy also suggested my friend wait on getting hers done due to some personal details about her situation- she doesn't just want your money or business, Amy consistently shows the utmost care for her clients and their ultimate safety and success of the piercings. I have probably two dozen stories about what a trustworthy delight Amy is, but I've also been pierced by Krisha as well. I had my septum done by her several years ago and she patiently and skillfully worked with me to get the position of the septum ring where I wanted in a way that was accommodated by my unique anatomy. Her care in helping me set realistic expectations while also managing to give me exactly what I wanted was invaluable. For me, the shop can be a little loud up front where you can hear the tattoo machines and loud music, but every experience I've had here in the last eleven years has been safe and rewarding. read more
