Saw they take walk-ins for piercing, so I came by looking to get something done. Walked in, nobody was near the front. There were some people in the area for tattoos, behind a barrier... looked like at least 1 person was getting a tattoo and I have no idea if the people there were patrons or employees. Either way, nobody greeted us. I figured I'd give it a little time, people get busy.. so we stood around and waited. I wanted to look at jewelry but they have a giant tarp sign hung on their glass case so you can only see what was on the top shelf by looking down into the case. I never got to speak with someone so I have no idea whether they have more jewelry or just that small selection I saw. Place looked a bit messy. Waited almost 10 minutes and nobody ever came up to the front to address us and see what we were there for. Another couple had come in during that time as well so they had 4 people waiting around in the front and nobody got acknowledged. I know my little piercing isn't going to make or break a business, but I'm not spending my money at a place that can't even acknowledge people that walk through the door. Stopped by to get a quote on a tattoo... Was hoping to get it done the same day. Ended up not working out, the tattoo artist was trying to convince me to get the tattoo a lot bigger than what I wanted. It was only a line work tattoo and he was trying to convince me to take up most of my bicep for it. Was going to charge me $200 which isn't a bad price for the size that he wanted to make it but it just did not go with what I personally wanted. I ended up going to another shop (In Houston, TX) and getting exactly what I wanted, it's been two weeks and my tattoo has healed up fine. I'm giving them one star because I walked and none of the tattoo artist seem like they wanted to be there. It was only about 3 o'clock in the afternoon. There was nobody in the shop and the tattoo artist I spoke to was professional but not necessarily friendly. Did not make me feel comfortable enough to trust his judgment on the tattoo that I wanted. read more

Got a piercing two years ago and still going through issues with it. The jewelry that they gave was far too short and improperly threaded so it kept FALLING OUT. When I got it checked up at another studio, they noted the poor quality of the jewelry and pointed out that I was also having a bad reaction to the material. Procedure is affordable but the shitty jewelry is a big red flag for me. I've had to spend so much extra $$$ getting it checked up on and buying good jewelry that I should've just spent that in the first place. read more

I came in the other day to get a piercing switched out. I decided to get it changed here because I got it pierced by Kayla awhile back which left a good first impression of the shop. My complaint was actually the two tattoo artists that were there when I came in. I walked in and it seemed like they were having a great conversation so I just sat down and waited. Eventually, one of them came up to me and asked me, "What?" I'm sorry but coming from someone who works in customer service, that is not how you greet someone that comes into your store. After he checked me in, he and the other tattoo artist were talking very loudly. There's nothing wrong with getting along with a coworker and having a nice chat with them. However, talking badly about women and other tattoo artists isn't the type of conversation to be having when there's guests at your store. It's not a good look. When the piercer came out to assist me, I was able to tell she was annoyed by them. What didn't sit right with me about the piercer was that she took the jewelery I wanted to switch to the back with her and then later on had me come back. I assumed she sanitized it and was setting up, but it would've been nice if she at the very least told me what she was gonna do with my jewelry. She actually didn't introduce herself, you could tell she was having a bad day. It was an awkward experience, but other than that she did a good job! I don't plan on coming back. read more

I have metal allergies and can't even use surgical steel jewelry, Seth was very understanding and let me bring in my own titanium tragus and industrial barbell to pierce with. Also, made sure the jewelry I had brought worked with my ear anatomy. He disinfected everything before and after and in-between my friend and I. Upon walking in the front receptionist was extremely nice and said they usually do appointments but will check if they could fit me in. (Let me start by saying not one person , customer or employee, in this establishment was social distancing or wearing a mask in the middle of a global pandemic. They're lucky to have their doors open at all. There was no temperature check or questions if I had symptoms) Well, I really thought this would be a good experience in the beginning. Sadly, I just got stung for my money and no work done at all. I was disappointed. I had a "consultation" with Hunter, who seemed very cool, for a tatto. Scheduled the consultation by talking with Matt and Seth, both super helpful and nice guys. I came in and he spent all of five minutes talking to me about my design while he was working on another customer and not paying attention to me at all. I showed him a few drawings I had and he said he could work with them, showed me some of his colors and I liked them, that was the whole "consultation". Then they proceeded to ask me for fifty bucks for a deposit on my appointment, very reasonable and customary. I paid it on the spot. On the day of my appointment I had A CVS ( Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome) episode, a chronic stomach condition I've had since childhood. I called, granted only a couple hours before my appointment, to let them know I was legitimately in the emergency room. They said it was fine, "get well soon" and to call for another appointment when I could. Three days later I had recovered from the medication I have to take for it I called, I asked for Hunter, I was told he would call me right back. Instead of a call, 8 days later I got a text message from Hunter telling me that I could schedule another appoint but my fifty dollar deposit would be held and I'd have to put down another fifty. Sounded reasonable. I asked if all of the deposit (both fifty, 100 total) would come out of the price of the tattoo as the original fifty was supposed to. I was told, with zero sympathy, that I had forfeited the original fifty because of my call out, though on the day of the appointment I was told everything was cool when I called... and I wasn't contacted back for over a week. I explained I have a very real and very chronic condition, I was told, and YES this is true: that I should've let him know about my condition. As if I walk around letting everyone i meet know that I sometimes have violent vomiting episodes that last six to ten hours and result in 20 to 40 pukes and dry heaves, usually landing me in the hospital for fluids and strong medications. This condition flares up a few times a year. Maybe I should've told him sometimes my dog gets sick or sometimes I can't get a babysitter or sometimes I have car trouble, normal shit people deal with once in a while. So I told him I didn't think this was fair business, and check THIS out: the dude told me he was actually going to work with me but since I was rude about him keeping my fifty bucks, he was going to keep it. So I guess it was a game of saying the right thing and maybe asking him nicely to practice business in a humane way. What they did may have been totally legal on paper, sure. But it was a dick move, human to human. That's no way to treat a new customer looking for a new artist who is looking to provide regular business. The shop is nice, the rest of the staff i met and talked to on the phone were nice, Hunter was nice to me when I met him and looks like he does good color but barely gave me the time of day. And again, zero social distancing, zero mask wearing, middle of a pandemic. Then... I was threatened, by Hunter, if I came out and wrote a review about them that they have lawyers ready to stop cases of slander. I explained slander only applies to lies and character defamation, not telling the true story of your experience with a business, but he didn't seem to get that either. Id gladly state all of this under oath. He got real defensive and real mad at that point, became very rude and I chose to block his number from my phone because I don't deal with negative, rude people like him. I hope you go and get a great tat, he is good, probably would've given me what I wanted; but if you have some sort of business related issue, I wouldn't be surprised if its not handled properly. Also, there's just no sympathy for the human condition, be it personal illness or potential VIRUS. read more

We called Planet X and Seth answered the phone. Let me tell you he was not only helpful but very polite over the phone and We went straight over there. Went in to get my niece's ears pierced and one of the tattoo artist (the man with the ponytail) was extremely rude to my sister because her son threw up in the bathroom. He's a kid. Kids throw up. It hasn't even been 24 hours. Whoever answered the phone didn't want to fix the problem because of this yelp review (which I am not taking down btw) but thank you for refunding her money. I had nothing against your shop or the customer service from the employee who performed the piercing, personally. Please do not use your tattoo artist's "disability" to excuse his inability or unwillingness to provide caring customer service. My niece, the oldest one that was also present yesterday with the glasses and braids, is hard of hearing. She has a hearing percentage of 58% in both ears. She is one of the sweetest young ladies. My sister talked loudly and made direct eye contact with the gentleman with the ponytail. His facial expressions and attitude has nothing to do with his hearing, especially given that there were no tattooing taking place or any other sounds that would make it difficult to hear her. When she went to tell him that she cleaned up the mess he looked at her shook his head in disgust and waved her away. Agin, it was just a kid who suddenly became sick. And things like that happen more than not. I've never been to any facility where the employees didn't care about or didn't offer help to a sick child, let alone blatantly showed their disgust towards a child. I scheduled an appointment that was accommodated for last minute to get a piercing. It's something I had been wanting to do for a while now and finally decided to go through with it, which is why I was happy that they were able to get me in the same day. This was my first piercing and I felt comfortable throughout my experience. I was educated and given aftercare paperwork. I am three days into my piercing and I really like it! Went here to get my sisters ears pierced with my father and they wouldn't serve us without a birth certificate. We all have drivers licenses that clearly prove we are family and she is, in fact, my father's daughter. They still wouldn't serve us without the birth certificate, saying "we need to prove your identity" with... a piece of paper that doesn't have your picture on it? The people we encountered here are nonsensical and clearly don't know how identification works. If I were applying here for a job, I would obviously understand because a birth certificate proves ability to work, but not a piercing. Called a different place to get her ears pierced and they scheduled us no problem and didn't ask for a stupid birth certificate, which I would suggest everyone else do as well. read more

I came here for an ear piercing for my second lobe and the guy that does them was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was just how the shop was. The piercing area was down the hall and to the left and it just was really secluded and the shop itself was really small for a tattoo parlor. Last year I went to Planet X to get my daith pierced, although I had a couple back up ideas because I was unsure my anatomy would work. I went into the shop assuming the Seth, who did my helix piercing fantastically, would be there, since he's the only piercer on the website. I should have called ahead because when I went into the back, there was a young lady. When I told her I wanted my daith pierced she asked me to remind her which one was the daith, and pointed to the rook and the daith ear cartilage ridges, red flag. I felt like I couldn't turn back because I was literally in the back of the shop. I told her I was hesitant about a daith piercings because I didn't know whether my anatomy fit and she said she could do it. It's at a bad angle. At this point it doesn't look like a daith piercing, it looks like a REALLY low front helix. I'm disappointed with how my piercing looks. I feel like it's my fault since I didn't call in ahead of time to see if Seth was in the shop. Please update your website to show everyone who does piercings. My experience was absolutely awful. I booked my appointment for 2:30 and I was there on time. The guy who tattooed me was really cool, really fun to talk to definitely. He spent about two hours drawing the tattoo and came up with some great ideas. But when it comes to actually do the tattoo, things got bad. I understand the guy tattooing me was a little slower than most, but I literally didn't leave the shop until 9:30, and the tattoo wasn't even complete. My skin is healing but my other tattoo that is exactly like this one only took two hours and my skin was nowhere as closed to as scarred up as this one is. I'm healing it properly but even so, it isn't supposed to look like this. And once again, it wasn't finished. Just done enough to make it not horrible to look at. He offered for me to come back in 5 days to finish but my tattoo isn't done healing and I don't think I can sit through another 7 hours session. Granted, I didn't move or anything. This is just a forearm tattoo and any other artists would finish in 2 but he took 7 and still didn't even get the shading started. He's such a great guy to talk to and he really is fun and interesting. But at the end of the day, the job needs to be done. I understand he was tired and overworking but this was a special tattoo for me and I now have to wait for it to heal and then go get another artist to fix and finish it because I refuse to sit through another 6 hour session for just a negative rose forearm tattoo that took other guys 2 hours to finish when I got my first one. Not to mention he also made lines for the connection I was supposed to get between both of my tattoos, he came up with the idea and I agreed thinking it would be done in one day. But now the lines are in between my arm with no work so they just look like I got cut. They are faint but I honestly don't know why he would make lines if he didn't even finish the tattoo first. The sleeve was gonna be extra but you have to finish the tattoo first before working on connection pieces and outlining them. Luckily there's no ink really in them. Plus I let him get a lunch break in between my tattoo and still wasn't finished. He took $50 off but even so this is a tattoo for the rest of my life and it's a decent sized one, so I'm disappointed. I would go back and finish but honestly my faith in him is lost after not finishing the tattoo and not even getting the shading started in 5-6 hours of being completely still. This is not a over detailed tattoo either. He came up with the idea of a negative rose tattoo and I let him because I figured it would be done the same day. It would be different if I had to come back just for small details but no this is literally 75% of the tattoo that needs to be finished. I had to go get a cover up and now it looks amazing. Before that, it wasn't good. He even put white ink on the names without even starting the shading, which he never did. He almost scarred my wrist with how much time he spent on that one area just to never finish. Luckily my cover up from a better tattoo artist looks amazing. It would have been a great tattoo had he finished or even got close. Seth even asked him if he was gonna let it heal first before trying to finish it 5 days later because obviously thats not enough time and he said we were working on a part we haven't tattooed, knowing we were gonna try and finish it. He literally lied. That was the icing on the cake. My patience was phenomenal dealing with his computer issues, literally waiting for the tattoo to be drawn for 2 hours when he should have had it done before i got there, and then 5 hours of excruciating tattooing WITHOUT shading. Literally didn't even start shading. He start jumping around and worked on different parts instead of finishing it all consistently. Overall everyone there is fun and nice, especially the guy who tattooed me. But in terms of effort and work completed with the given time with a completely still patient, that is unacceptable. I do sympathize with him a little bit because he said he's overworked all week but at the end of the day you have to finish the job. And if you can't, I'd say stick to smaller tattoos and let the other guys do the big ones. No hate or love lost, he's a great guy, but I have to keep it real. If you need a smaller tattoo or piercings I'd maybe check it out but for a detailed or bigger piece, I wouldn't come here at all. Because you'll never finish. Imagine going in 2:30 on a Saturday and leaving at 9:30 and wasting your whole day for an incomplete tattoo. I paid $300 originally. He took $50 off so it was $250. I paid $250 for a poorly tattooed OUTLINE of nothing. Not to mention trying to reschedule, this guy completely ghosted me and left me on seen for three weeks. This is not the spot for a big or detailed tattoo. I hate to write this because he was cool but this was not okay. read more

I decided to get a septum piercing in August of this year. I honestly went where the price was right and I was not disappointed with my experience. Seth was professional, fair, and clearly knew what he was doing. The piercing spot was clean and hygienic, as was the procedure.
