I want to preface my review noting my experience as a pyro technician. Phantom fireworks has slowly depreciated in value over the years, but it still holds up for key people. Phantom fireworks prices are awful without the coupons. 50% or BOGO are year-round events. Therefore the actual saved cash will be far less. However, Phantom fireworks has a great selection of fireworks for ok prices, but don't expect more extreme (and illegal) hot product like salutes from a big box retailer. To really get your moneys worth, do your research and use every coupon you can find. If you are not willing, try going to fireworks forever or Wisconsin discount fireworks for better prices. To finish things off, at the end of the day... I went into this store ready to buy fireworks with the "Manager specials" when in reality they gave me the wrong one so with all those employees you got you couldn't have told me? Most are standing around on their phones. I even asked some employees if I can do this with the price of this they all told me "yes" but when I get to the register manager tells me "these specials don't work we can't be at out 100% with these coupons/papers" I'm sorry but that's not my damn problem you lied to me. I never write reviews, but when I came here to read reviews before I went to Phantom, they were all old and low ratings. We got coupons in the mail for some really sweet deals and had nothing to do today, so we drove 45 min to WI to get some kiddie fireworks for the 4th. It's 5 days before the 4th of July and they had a store-wide 30% off special. Our coupons (50% off all fireworks, or some certain items at a steep discount) worked great and we got $350 worth of fireworks for $150. Their prices were WAY cheaper than the random fireworks outposts in parking lots in MN (even before coupons), and they had a really robust selection. However, I felt swindled when I go online and see that everything is BOGO free.... get there, and there are printed signs that they aren't honoring the BOGO, and to not take it out on the employees! I love phantom fireworks they have the best deal for you're money if you are a big or small spender. For starters for small spenders everything is but one get one free so that's 2 for the price of one and you can mix and match. If you are a big spender after you spend $350 everything becomes 50% off . They are constantly sending out good deals weekly and like the other review said you can save a ton of money if you are signed up for all of the coupons because they allow you to combine them. Some of the prices are a bit high but you can't beat 39.99 for a rolling thunder assortment or 79.99 for and 179.99 assortment those are some of the great deals they offer and these go boom . They also offer other great deals via text , email , mail , and their premier bonus chart. They even have early bird specials / Christmas gift card specials where they give you up to $350 in bonus items. The quality is the best I have seen around here especially if you stick to the phantom brand. If you go to YouTube you can see the difference in quality compared to some of the cheaper brands . Also the employees are very helpful and friendly I would recommend phantom fireworks to anyone if you are willing to take the short drive there. Our experience at Phantom Fireworks in Roberts, WI on 7/3/21 was awful. We interacted with 4 different staff members, three of whom were blatantly rude and one who was unaware of a special coupon we received through texting their company when we arrived. There was a sign on the door stating "masks required" and we observed one staff member wearing a mask and the rest were not. The prices were significantly higher than those at fireworks stores in Baldwin and Hudson. We had received a flyer in the mail which is why we decided to go there, though neither of the coupon items were available. If this is the one I used to go to, then thumbs up. I love fireworks, and if you're in a safe, SAAAAFE legal environment, then have a BLAST! (I just had to.) They have the safer versions of those ghetto made in china ones. They're reasonably priced, and knowledgeable. Employees were very rude. Not friendly at all and seemed annoyed they even had to be at work. There was a long line and no one directed us on what to do or where to go even though we said it was our first time at the store. An older lady shouted to everyone that if they have kids they can't touch anything. Then we were asked us to wait outside in the rain with our 2 small children. After 5 minutes outside in the rain with the other people and kids we left. Don't shop here. Go somewhere else and give them your money. read more

Just so customers are aware this this establishment is closed at 12:15 am, not 1:00am, as stated on their website. I even read the information listed because of covid and that was not mentioned. So we left for our hour trip late to avoid the crowds and heat and arived at 12:20 to find 4 cars in the parking lot, and a security person at the front door saying they were not letting anymore customers in. We use to go there every year to spend only 15 minutes in the store, because we knew what we wanted. Never again! I am all about respecting retail establishments and not showing up just before closing, but we were there 40 minutes before their listed closing time and it was not busy. Was there at about 2:15 pm on 7/3/2020 and the line was unbelievable. Stood there for more than 30 Minutes in the 92 degree heat and only moved 20 feet but they did send staff to hand out water bottles. Once the line started to move they I saw that they had posted a sign on the door that said they are no longer honoring the 2 for 1 so I left and went to another store. read more

As pyro season has begun for true enthusiasts, I became curious if there were any reviews of Phantom. I discovered there are only a few, but I am now inclined to add my perspective. Most firework shoppers are seasonal, casual users. Phantom caters well to this buyer. Billboards! Large, clean, well lit, and well stocked showroom, combined with the allegation of buy one get one FREE! FREE! Free is always good, right? People, if a business ever claims something is free, stop and think about it. Really. The reality is, it is buy two at full price, and then you can work the ridiculously structured, tiered "freebie" system for bonus items. Spend $150, get a $5 gross of crappy bottle rockets. Spend more, get more "free" stuff. A LOT of firework retailers do this(or any kind of retailer for that matter), so no true slam on Phantom , just gotta point this out. If you are in retail denial, shop away. Everywhere. Get your "free" stuff. Stimulate the economy. I did it at Phantom, one year. Virtually every item would cost less singly, at anyplace that does not do the price scheme. The BOGO concept is all around us, always, but it works especially well with a seasonal, or impulse purchase like fireworks. If you shop off season, use online coupons, get on the email list, wait for sale flyers, combine deals, and maybe drop in the gas coupon, you can actually do well. Otherwise you are paying premium dollars. Premium. Nothing is free here, no matter how they pitch it. The products overall are quite good, if not always good value for your money. BJ Alan (parent company?) does source some good, solid stuff. Beware the Purple Ghost. He is after your wallet! Every year around this time, I'm here buying fireworks. The store is kinda small but has tons of fireworks to pick from. I'm not a big spender on fireworks but you can't go wrong with buy one get one free. I would avoid going here during the weekends, it's so packed to push a cart around. read more
