Definitely one of the best stores in Pittsburgh! I have never met a nicer guy and will always shop here when I visit the area!

See the price go up and realize there's no way he lets me get them. I asked for (1) Ff precon he told me I had to buy them all. Only played Final fantasy 7 Then he cancels my entire preorder. Geekadrome held my money until today 5/29/2025 in which they just canceled my preorder. They had over $1000 dollar of my money that they held for over 3 months and I suspect they canceled my order to resell at market price. I trusted them with my purchase and now I am no longer able to order either at a decent price when I had the opportunity to purchase both back in February. Do not do business with Geekadrome!

Four levels - yep, FOUR - of nostalgia!! Such a terrific collection of games, books, tapes, CD's,…read morefigurines, posters, comics, vinyl, collectibles, etc. you would be hard pressed not to find something that doesn't make you go, "I remember this!" Each level has different elements. There's stairs, as well as an elevator to access all levels. Prices seem reasonable for the things that they offer. Everything is well kept and in protective sleeves, etc to preserve it from getting worn. Every employee was pleasant and friendly. Not sure about parking as we walked. But, it's super close to the Heinz History Center so could easily walk from there. Well worth a visit!!

Workers there have egos that…read morethey think gives them the right to talk down to you if you don't have the comic knowledge they go! Plain ignorance is not how you run a store. I've been a patron since the squirrel hill days when I was in grade school and I was always talked down to then and now. I highly recommend to Avoid record store day at eides because they don't like selling you vinyl because you go there one day a year or 2. You have to be a constant customer for them to sell you vinyl you want. They hold vinyl for people their friends and staff. I came to pick up vinyl one time I ordered and they sold it to their staff. If you're not a regular don't count on getting what u want. You can't carry records and look around you have to buy them right away or they will take them back and sell to their friends. Even if you went for years and spent $100s of dollars it means absolutely nothing. I would find a new place to go where the workers actually talk to you and let you browse and treat you like a customer should. Other people go once a year but for some reason I'm. Always singled out and I spend the most money there on record store day. I can't help the fact that I have a terminal illness and trying to get disability and I still get treated like shit. They know I have physical and financial limitations but that's always ignored. It's money money money. If they don't stop treating customers like shit especially a customer from the 1980s I'm done buying anything there. I get enough horrible things that happen to me outside of eides. If you have a question if you call them they don't like they will hang up on you. The store is struggling enough but they chose to do things that will close this store sooner than later. The customer does not come first! They actually took records I was buying from me and fold them to their staff! Who does that! If you browse with records in your hand they get mad and ask you put them back so other people can buy them! Wow talk about rude! I was waiting for money to be deposited in my account and they were so mad becsuse they wanted their money then and now when I was buying like $400 worth of music!

Best thing to do is go to www.copacetic.biz or even better head over to the store, nestled in a quiet corner of Squirrel Hill across from the police department. Bill (the owner) stocks an unbelievable range of comics, books, DVDs, music, and art in his tiny space. You won't find many contemporary superheros here, but what you will find is all the modern artsy comics you can handle, the Criterion collection of DVDs, weird discount European jazz label imports, Little Lulu, punk rock, Pauline Kael, the Dover collection of classic literature, local zines, a big comfy chair, and most importantly, the proprietor who will find out your tastes and guide you to the material that will best intrigue and interest you. He encourages browsing and reading, and there's usually classic or independent cinema playing on the small TV, or else classic jazz on the stereo. I checked the "$" price rating because nearly everything that Bill sells is discounted from the original price - including both the new stuff and the classics (on which many of which other stores have bagged and marked-up the price). This is extremely rare in comics retailing. Since moving to New York City, the two retail institutions I've missed the most from Pittsburgh are (1) REI, and (2) Copacetic. Go there now!

I give this place two stars because it contains game products and dice. Buy your dice online to save about 40% of what these guys are charging. And find a place with some fans or working A/C if you want to play in a public place in the summer months. I can only imagine how cold it gets up there in the winter. Great friendly store. We ended up getting an expansion to "King of Tokyo / Kind of New York". They have a backroom full of cards and miniatures for all types of games. Getting into the store was odd. You have to take a small wooden set of steep stairs (not ADA compliant) and next too a nail shop. But overall it's a great little place. I told the owners I found there store through yelp and they kinda looked at me confused and said "ohhhh okay." So maybe there not into the social media outlets and potentials, but there still great guys. They also make great recommendations.
