Great small time movie house. Concessions very reasonably priced. Prices of tickets are LESS than chain theaters

Excellent theater, reasonable concession prices, clean and most of all, it's not AMC!

    ### Draft Review for B&B Theatres - Liberty, MO…read more We visited the B&B Theatres in Liberty, MO for the first time today and, unfortunately, it will also be our last. On arrival, we were actually really impressed. The speakers in the parking lot were playing an amazing soundtrack from *Pirates of the Caribbean*, which got us excited and set great expectations for the experience. Once we stepped inside, though, things went downhill quickly. The lobby has some nice decorations, but the overall atmosphere was dark, stuffy, and a bit dingy, almost like the lights were turned down too low. On the positive side, getting our tickets from the kiosk was quick and easy, and the machine printed them without any problems. When we got to our seats, we were very disappointed. The seats seemed old and poorly maintained--one of them wouldn't even sit upright, and several of them had a strong, unpleasant body odor smell. It made it hard to relax or feel comfortable. Then the previews started, and we noticed right away that the screen seemed darker and slightly blurry compared to other theaters we've been to. We were seated on the right-middle side of the auditorium, and at first we thought maybe it was just the previews and that the actual movie would switch to a better projector or sharpen up. It never did. The image never looked "crisp" at all--definitely below the standard of other theaters we've attended. Because of all this, we requested a refund within the first five minutes of the movie. That process was more difficult than it needed to be. The manager and what appeared to be his superior were both present, but neither one acknowledged us or spoke to us, even after the cashier had clearly told them about our situation. They walked by without making eye contact or offering any kind of explanation or apology. The only person who treated us well was the shift lead, who actually acknowledged us and helped us get our refund. Given the uncomfortable seats, poor picture quality, and lack of basic customer service from management, we will not be returning to this location--even though it is the closest theater to our home. Based on our experience, I do not recommend this theater.

The theatre itself is large with plenty of seating, and the screen definitely lives up to its Extreme Screen name. It's huge with a great picture and I recommend sitting toward the back for the best view. The seats were comfortable, though they don't recline, which is my only complaint. The concession prices were very reasonable, a large popcorn and a large drink for under $15, cheaper than most big name theatres. The employees were friendly too making this a good spot to see a movie.

It also happened to be our three year olds first movie in a theater! The major underrated benefit to this theater, IMO, is not only is it great for kids' movies, but it's not incredibly loud. You know those theaters that want to flex their audio and you can feel it in your chest during an action scene? Not the case here. Perfect audio balancing, which helps my sensitive kiddo (and me, let's be real). I was surprised that even after buying four tickets, popcorn, and snacks that they wouldn't validate parking. It's gotten much stricter around Union Station as the Streetcar has taken off, which I totally understand. However, I think being a paying customer should have a small reward. Just a little feedback. I love almost everything about Union Station, right down to the bathrooms, so enjoying this theater is no surprise. Go check it out!

"So let's all goto the movies" immediately popped into my head when I arrived. Nowadays seeing a…read moremovie is so much more than buying a ticket and grabbing a seat in a theater. So if you loved drive ins, you'll like this. There's giant sized games and table games, along with a full service bar on deck! It's right in Crossroads off Broadway so parking is a hassle. Now cinema magic. No matter the seat you purchase, you've got a nice view. Ours were the Adirondack Chairs but I think the Adirondack Love Seat option might be cool too. It's first come, first-served seating. Your chair has a seat cushion with a headrest pillow. You receive your own headset for movie sounds upon Checkin. You can order from the menu right from your seat, at the bar or box office. Prior to your movie there's pre show content and trivia and even karaoke. Music is playing over the rooftop sound system. Single chairs were on right side of the aisles and love seats on the left facing the movie wall. The menu includes snacks, movie candy, mocktails or cocktails, choose your mood.. mine was "Am I the Drama?" AND it was drama compliant! The popcorn was really good, no messy butter, it's already pooped in. Pricing for things matches what you see at Dine n Movies elsewhere. I loved the whole experience. All movie staffers were friendly & helpful. We came early , like around the time of movie before ours - SINNERS, but staff were pretty cool about it! One of bartenders Rolando checked on us and was even kind enough to be our photographer. Enjoy the rooftop vibes, be careful stepping around as well. Movie time. At some points during our movie you could hear city sounds that were really loud like sirens or loud cars but overall the movie sound headphones were good. We had our own blankets so we were comfy and they have some for purchase. We did have a wait on our snack order so I went to get it at Box Office before the movie started. I received my drink promptly which again was da bomblicious with: white blended rum, elderflower, passionfruit, splash press, jalapeño, mint! YUP! I'd definitely enjoy rooftop cinema again!

The Rooftop staff is always a pleasure! Vibes are on point. Atmosphere is amazing. Just good times…read moreall around!

We ate the noodles and fried rice located in the casino. The noodles had much more flavor than the rice. But was still enjoyable. I like it was not crowded. I recently stayed at Ameristar Hotel Casino in Kansas City after checking in on July 12, and it…read morewas, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Before arriving, I called the hotel to ask about early check-in. I was told that early check-in was available for a $25 fee and that the hotel was only about half full if that so there should be no problem getting a room. However, when I arrived that morning, I was told there were no rooms available. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while I stepped away to use the restroom, one of the people traveling with me was able to check into a room immediately with no issues at all. No one could explain why I was denied a room while someone in my group was accommodated without hesitation. When I tried to get answers, I was met with disrespect instead of customer service. The employee who checked me in wasn't even wearing a name tag, and the employee assisting her, Deb, was one of the most unprofessional customer service representatives I have ever encountered. Rather than trying to resolve the issue, they were dismissive, rude, and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. After multiple trips back to the front desk and repeated complaints, I was finally given a room. Unfortunately, the room itself was just as disappointing. The property felt run-down, poorly maintained, and not particularly clean. It certainly did not live up to the standards I expected from a Boyd Gaming property. The problems continued at checkout. Around 4:10 a.m. July 14, I went to the front desk to check out before work, but there was no employee present for at least 10 to 15 minutes. After waiting as long as I could, I had no choice but to leave without checking out because I was going to be late for work. Later that morning, after I received my checkout email, I noticed additional charges on my card and called the front desk. The employee who identified herself as Joyce was just as unprofessional as the staff I dealt with the day before. When I explained that no one had been at the front desk during checkout, she argued with me and insisted someone had been there the entire time, which simply was not true. When I asked about the additional charges, she became argumentative again instead of helping resolve the issue. I requested to speak with a supervisor, but Joyce told me there was no one else available and that I could only deal with her. After insisting that I wanted to speak with a manager, she transferred me to security. The security employee refused to give me his name, laughed when I requested a supervisor, and told me that although a supervisor was on duty, he was choosing not to put them on the phone. I have never experienced such disrespectful and dismissive treatment from hotel staff. I chose to stay at Ameristar because I expected quality accommodations and professional customer service from a Boyd Gaming property. Instead, I was treated with disrespect from beginning to end. I came to enjoy a relaxing getaway, spend money at your property, and have a good time. Instead, I left feeling frustrated, insulted, and completely unappreciated as a customer. Because of this experience, I will never stay at another Boyd Gaming property, and I cannot recommend Ameristar Hotel Casino Kansas City to anyone. I sincerely hope management investigates how guests are being treated and takes meaningful steps to improve customer service, accountability, and the overall guest experience.
