The seats are very comfortable. The snacks and popcorn are good. This is the theater to get away and relax.

Doing a great job cleaning their theaters during COVID and taking many other precautions to keep guests and the B&B family safe.

We heard about the Belton 8 Cinema after a news story about its sad and likely impending closing in…read moreAugust 2026 due to a deal made by the city of Belton that will cause it to be impossible for the Belton 8 to continue to operate. This is very sad to discover since, after being able to visit the Belton 8 Cinema on 04-18 at the 1:10 pm showing we found this gem of a theater to be very inviting, affordable, clean, and the staff all pleasant. When we arrived, the parking lot was pretty vacant since it was before the first showing.  The doors outside are nicely marked for which doors are for entry (left side) and which are for exit (right side).  Upon entering the theater, the box office is immediately ahead.  It was organized well and clean.  There were two employees at the box office, both greeted us and asked how they could help us. This is a first run theater.  We purchased our tickets, easily accomplished and the tickets very clear.  Our tickets for Saturday matinee were $5.75 each.  All tickets include taxes.  Tickets anytime are $5.75 for Seniors age 60 and older as well as children age 3-11.  Those age 12-59 are $5.75 for matinee and $7.75 for evening shows.  Tuesdays are extra special as all movies are $4.00 for any ages!  The only additional cost for any movie is $3.00 for a 3D Premium movie.  The reason for mentioning the prices is that, it is the most family friendly cost we have found at a cinema for many years with the loss of second run theaters. The lobby was very nice and clean.  There were two employees working the concession though we did not purchase any on this day as we had just eaten and were very full.  However, the concession prices, compared to other cinemas, were cost-friendly.  If they had Diet Dr Pepper, I would have to at least have gotten that (full or not, Diet Dr Pepper is always a draw and requirement for me). As we approached the area to head to the auditoriums there were three employees at the ticket taking area.  They were also all dresses nicely (one even had a shirt that said "Ticket Taker" embroidered on it), friendly, taking our tickets and letting us know our movie was the last auditorium on the left, auditorium 4.  There are 8 theaters, four on each side.  The hallway to the auditorium was clean with nice carpet and well lit.  The auditorium itself was very nice with stadium style seating, nice lighting, good seats, clean floors. During the movie itself the sound level was good, the screen was good, and overall a great experience. At our movie there were no previews of any type, which is fine.  We always arrive early to movies anyway so it is no problem for us.  We did notice, however, that all of the rest of the about twenty people who arrived as couples and singles, arrived a minute or more after the movie started.  Another benefit of the stadium style seating!  Just be aware that the stated starting movie time may be the exact time, of you are a person who otherwise arrives late to things. After the movie had finished there were three staff patiently awaiting outside the doors to clean.  That is a great sign as well! We already plan to visit the Belton 8 again this week after our first great experience.

The ambiance: I told the managers the sound was too loud, nothing happened. There was no moving air. Let me repeat that, no air conditioning in theater 6. I told the managers, there different times and the response was a dismissive shrug. How much should someone pay for popcorn and a drink? Is $15 reasonable? I don't get it. Friday night this place should be inviting crowds - not running them off. To sum it up, I won't be back. Zero stars for service. (Yelp will now allow a zero rating)

It can be a bit pricey, but it's worth it as a family thing to do from time to time IMO. This theater used to feel like the premium option, complete with comfortable seats and clean for the most part. The tough part is multiple times we've been here, there's been a large police presence due to huge groups of kids taking over and messing with everybody. It's a weird feeling to get caught in that when you've got a three year old with you cosplaying as Moana, and have to explain it's time to get out quick at the end. Another time they had to evacuate a theater and adjacent Target because of a massive fight and potential shooter. Fun times, but also just "times" in America. But for the theater, they have a gigantic bucket of popcorn for around $10 that comes with free refills (good deal to split among family). The bathrooms are nice and clean, the theaters remains comfortable, and all in all it's an alright place to see a movie. I just find myself driving a little further to see them at other theaters more often than this one these days.

As developers are more geared towards the "outside mall" theme for convenience, these modern amalgamations of mall and strip mall have seemed to be the flavor of the day. Moreover, the convenience of getting in and out of the area is easy considering the two main streets it resides on within a stone's throw from the highway. One can argue the anchor store or interest point is AMC Theatres. Walking in I always feel like a kid with the obnoxious carpet patterns, smell of butter on popcorn wafting through the air and larger than life movie posters all over the place. Yes, going to the movies is still experience, no matter how good your home theatre is and how much easier streaming can be (not to mention cheaper). The food here is pretty good, not great however the price doesn't match the quality. Again, that's a theatre for you. When I do decide on ordering food while watching a movie, I don't like messy things like burgers. So, I stick to simple things like pizza, popcorn, fries and chicken fingers. Oh and as someone that worked at AMC in the past I'll give you a little tip, the secret to the popcorn is using a majority coconut butter. It's what sets their popcorn apart however it also costs a bit more. This facility is clean and most of the auditoriums have very up to date audio and video equipment including Dolby ATMOS and IMAX. I'm not sure of the speaker count but needless to say, you'll hear it from every seat in the auditorium. They do a good job keeping things cleaned between the movies as I don't ever really see food or trash around my chair. I still believe AMC has the best movie experience out there. Overall, the people at this AMC are pretty nice although you won't be interacting with them much, the facility is clean and the movie experience itself is unmatched. Even if you have other options, I suggest using this AMC over competitors as quality matters.

I am very disappointed with how their food is because I don't think they have a lot of options at the same time. Their food is not being up to the Marc quality. I find these theaters to be extremely pricey, but they do have a very neat indoors and the Theatres are clean. We go there every time with our friends and family and enjoy it. They do have a studio theater and a reclining 3-D effect Theatre too.

Not completely trashed like last time. Of course, the tickets kiosks at the front weren't working. They rarely do at any B&B Theater. The lone employee I interacted with (at the box office) was pleasant. He scanned my barcode and gave me a ticket. I'm not sure why they still print paper tickets since we have barcodes in our email and proof of purchase in the app (if you can find it) because no one has ever asked to see my ticket at a B&B. The movie (Marty Supreme) was good. The sound was super loud and the theater was freezing, as always in the winter. But I came prepared with a t-shirt, long sleeve flannel shirt and a cashmere cardigan which I wore the whole time. Next time I will bring a lap blanket too. I just bring an empty water bottle and fill it up at the drinking fountain (no outside food or drink) and a pocket full of gum or mints. I follow the rules, but I'm not paying $25 for a drink and some popcorn. If they ever stop fleecing people, that will change.

I guess I'm glad to have tried it, but the worn out vibes, the not-so-helpful skeleton crew, and some other issues have me admitting it was a mistake. This used to be a shiny, vibrant feeling theater as the Alamo Drafthouse, but now it feels like it's hanging on for dear life. When we walked in it was silent, and they had the guy running the snacks also doing ticket check in. So basically we had to wait in line to get scanned as the poor guy was overstretched. I figured let's grab a bottle of water which was like $7-$8.. ridiculous. One of the selling points is we thought they did food here so we could get dinner -- nope. Kitchen was closed. For the kids movie we saw (Eleo) it was all the way up and the escalators were broken. Schlepped our way up carrying the youngest and through the uncanny, silent space. Saw the movie, were the only ones there, the theater was fine if not a little odd. When we were leaving I asked someone working how to validate my parking. Instead of, you know, doing it, he pointed me to a little white machine. I put my ticket in, but it didn't seem quite right. I asked the guy (who was wearing AirPods) if it worked and he said yes. I started to put it through to double check and he emphatically stopped me from it and assured me it worked. So we haul the kids back to the Cosentino's garage, wait forever to get out of it, and then when we scan our ticket instead of the gate opening we get hit with a $27 charge, despite having seen a movie and having parking covered per their website. I was freaking pissed, but we had a ton of cars behind us and no one manning the booth (side note, companies, you can't keep trying to get away with having no one working your space, your businesses simply don't function without people.) I ate the charge and reached out to the theater about it. Valerie with customer service was friendly, but let me know the manager essentially said they won't be doing anything about it. So yeah, $60 for a movie that will be streaming in a few weeks, $7 for a small bottle of water, and $27 for parking that should've been free. Hard pass on this and any other theaters this group runs, this was a crappy experience.
